David Spade on Tour
David Spade is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, talk show host, and television personality with razor-sharp sarcasm that will leave you in stitches. He's best known for his performances on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) and hilariously endearing role in Joe Dirt (2001) -- a film he both starred in and co-wrote. Other box office hits from Spade's film career include popular titles like Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003), The Benchwarmers (2006), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and The Do Over (2016). In 2020, he was a People's Choice Award nominee for Favorite Comedy Movie Star in the film The Wrong Missy (2020). On the small screen, Spade received one Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations for his work playing the wise-cracking assistant, Dennis Finch, in the American sitcom "Just Shoot Me!" He also starred in the beloved CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement," joined the cast of "8 Simple Rules," co-wrote the screenplay and performed voiceovers on MTV's "Beavis and Butt-Head," and hosted "The Showbiz Show with David Spade." Later, he became the host of Comedy Central's "Lights out with David Spade." Over the years, Spade has entertained viewers with his self-deprecating humor and outrageous wit as the host of the Teen Choice Awards and the Spike Video Game Awards, and made guest appearances on sitcoms like "The Goldbergs" and reality TV programs such as "Bachelor in Paradise." Now, you can enjoy a no-holds-barred night of laughter with tickets to David Spade live on tour as he returns to the slapstick stand-up comedy that first made him famous.
David Spade Live
A natural prankster born on July 2, 1964, Arizona native David Spade started doing stand-up while he was young with his family and friends urging him onto the stages of bars, theaters and campuses across the country. He performed in Arizona State's long-running sketch comedy show multiple times, where he attended school as a fraternity member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also got experience delivering laughs at Greasy Tony's Pizza during the Monday night comedy shows in the mid-'80s. In 1990, Spade took his comedy career to the next level when he joined the crew of "Saturday Night Live" -- first as a writer, then quickly making his way up to cast member. Shortly after his television debut on SNL, Rolling Stone dubbed him "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." Over the next five years, Spade would become a household favorite, well-known and loved for his comedic persona. He built his unique brand of sarcasm through skits like "Hollywood Minute" and "Total Bastard Airline" until eventually leaving the cast in 1996. His venture into film and television thereafter was immediately successful, earning himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by 2003.
Great Show funny and well worth the money. Had me laugh with in two minutes
David Spade did not disappoint! He was great, as usual with his sarcastic wit. Loved every minute of it !
Funny as ever but show not long enough. Could’ve done without Nicky glazer opening. Completely unnecessary to be that crude and vulgar. Only unconfident comedians have to go there and she went on and on and on. Unlike Spade who is just straight up hilarious. Liked the first guy who introduced the show.
Glaser was fantastic! David Spade was Not the best. Seemed liked he phoned in his performance. Maybe just an off night from him!
Funnier than I thought he’d be (and I thought he would be funny!)
Nikki Glaser made me laugh so hard that I had tears in my eyes. The opening guy before Nikki was also funny. Spade seem to be going through the motions. Old jokes about the covid vaccine or the Titanic submarine failed. Spade barely made me laugh.
Mickey Glaser and the opening act were hilarious. Very funny. I couldn’t stop laughing. Then David Spade came out and it was pretty disappointing. I expected him to be funny, but he was kind of disorganized and also not funny. They were plenty of people in the crowd that got up and left at various points of the show when he was performing.
Not a bad show on paper. He did things that were sub par for the price and experience he has. He checked his watch a few times, packed up his little note card on his last joke and then re-hashed some clearly old material. Talking about the Johnny depp trial and the submarine that imploded are not exactly current events
Spade was good overall- I have seen him before and he was on par with prior performances. Opened was solid. I was not impressed with Nikki Glaser, but I have liked her work in the past.
David Spade was awful. Jokes were mediocre and there were few of them. He had to check his notes for nearly every joke and seemed like he wished it was over as soon as it could be. It was. He wasn’t on stage for long. Totally unprofessional. Nikki Glaser was good. Would see her again. She’s only reason there are any stars in rating.
David Spade was on point! Super funny, very entertaining! Was Nikki Glaser having an off night? She said very bizarre things and frankly wasn’t funny at all. So disappointing! The guy who opened for David Spade was also super funny, wish I remembered his name!
The theater at the Venitian was beautiful! The opener and Nikki Glaser were phenomenal! I was less impressed with David Spade. He was funny, but I think Nikki and the opener blew the doors off!
It really wasn’t that great of a show. Opening acts were vulgar and offensive. Which is funny sometimes, but not so much this time. Spade seemed unprepared. Like he just rolled out of bed came up with a set list and showed up.
David Spade was so awseome, but when the loud bang happened poor guy really thought someone shot him . I thought someone did shoot a gun but it was the microphone . I hope David is ok cause I heard him ask I'm I shot that can be really scary . He did finish his act which I commend him for that.
David Spade was as funny as always. He had all new material and was entertaining. Katherine Blandford and Bobby Miyamoto were the openers. She was just okay. She yelled her entire act. Not great but not the worst female comedian. Bobby was subtle and funny. Overall worth it. I’d go just to see him regardless.
Our impression of the David Spade show was that he was basically walking through the motions - very pedestrian - lacking energy and enthusiasm. Several times, Spade reacted like the audience was the problem - we weren't laughing enough - which seemed to annoy him on some level. Just write better bits and jokes - and deliver them with greater enthusiasm - maybe that will generate a more acceptable response, i.e. laughter. We've seen lots of great comedians through the years - but this Spade performance missed the mark.
I had high expectations for David Spade... and he exceeded far beyond that! Both opening acts where hilarious, and David's set knocked it out of the park. My boyfriend laughed until he was crying. I would argue he is one of the best in the business. Great writer. Relatable. It was awesome!
I was able to go see David Spade’s stand up show in New Orleans and had a great time! I think the Orpheum was a good venue for it. He had 2 openers who were pretty funny. David Spade was hilarious. He always cracks me up, and the show did not disappoint. I couldn’t stop laughing. Hope he comes to New Orleans more often. It was a fun night of comedy and lots of laughter! Loved it.
David Spade was absolutely hilarious and his two warm up acts were equally entertaining. Overall a fabulous evening!
So happy I went! I had a really good time. The 2 acts before made me laugh too!
