DAVE KOZ IN CONCERT:
When Dave Koz takes the stage, all is quiet as the audience intently listens to every pure note from the seasoned saxophonist. Playing both tenor and alto sax, his fingers glide across the instrument with an ease that can't be matched. Whether he's performing chart-topping hits like "Life In the Fast Lane" and "Put the Top Down" or launching into an epic solo, Koz's grace on the woodwind instrument is exceptional, full of trills, thrills, and spontaneity during his hit-filled set lists. Dave Koz returns to the stage in 2014 for his upcoming Summer Horns tour as well as a string of highly anticipated shows with Barry Manilow.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Starting out in his high school's jazz band, Dave Koz fell in love with the saxophone early on, deciding to pursue music full time after graduating from college. He landed on tour with Bobby Caldwell not long after and served as a studio musician in the '80s before launching his breakout solo career. Since then, Koz has released 15 studio albums — eight of which have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz chart — and four No. 1 jazz singles. Not only is the nine-time Grammy nominee a sensational saxophonist, but he's also a radio personality, television host, and philanthropist, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Koz will delight fans with his smooth jazz sounds on his upcoming tour dates.

Wow!! What an awesome night of entertainment! Dave Koz, his band and his guest vocalist kept us jamming all night long. When he comes back to Cincinnati, I plan to be in the front row again!!!

Attended the show at SMU on 8/25/23! What an absolutely amazing show!!! From the awesome DJ who opened up the show to each and every performer, it was truly one of the best shows I've ever seen. Dave Koz is such a talented and gifted artist- and an equally talented performer. Love the way he engages the audience and shared the stage with the awesome Candy, Eric and Maysa. And that band was fantastic. Jazz at it's best! Wow!
This concert was AMAZING! Three talented performers all in one place - never saw Dave Koz before but have been waiting for him to come to VA and along with Cindy and Eric it was wonderful! Plus my 1st time at the Birchmere so you were really close to the stage.
Dave gives a great show as usual Only complaint was the bass, it drowned out their vocals, and several times the reverb was bad. Will travel to see Dave Koz again

Having never been to the Birchmere, my wife and I were pleasantly pleased. The line although long moved quickly.The seats we found were towards the back, to the left of the stage, unobstructed. The service was quick food was hot tasty and filling. The show was phenomenal. Just can't describe how pleased we were with everything. The DJ was good, and the band was excellent. As for Dave Koz, Candy Dulfer, and Eric Darius, what a show!!! The sound of the three saxes was out of this world. So good my wife and I are thinking about going to another venue to see it again. If you are looking for one relaxing sound check out Summer Horns. Three of the best sax players this side of heaven.
Saw Dave Koz and the Summer Horns featuring Maysa at the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA. The concert was excellent, just wish they could’ve performed a couple more songs to make it a solid 2-hour show.
I love the Birchmere. I've always had a great experience with all of the performances that I have attended. Dave Koz, Eric Darius, Maysa & the lady sax player were all wonderful! The entire bad was fabulous. Shout out to the 20 year old female drummer!!
Me and friends went and had a fantastic time the show was amazing specially for this time of the year holidays .
This performance exceeded my expectations. Everyone was extremely talented and mind blowing. The energy they created pulled you right into the performance.
Our first trip to the Keith Albee Theatre (KAT) and we were pleasantly surprised with the venue. The show with Dave Koz, Peter White, Rick Braun, Keiko Matsui and band mates was an excellent evening of music and talent. I have been following these musicians for many years and finally had the chance to see a live show and was not disappointed. I just wish the KAT were closer than the two hours and fifty minutes that we drove to attend the show, but worth the drive this time.
The Dave Koz Christmas tour definitely left no room for improvement, it was outstanding!
I purchased tickets the first day they went on sale, I must say it was every bit worth the wait, it was everything I expected and more, can’t wait until they return to West Virginia again, everyone on the Dave Koz Christmas tour was outstanding!❤️
When three of the artists came out it had me wondering where is the fourth? The fourth was supposed to be Richard Elliot. I believe Dave Koz and friends sang and played 3 or 4 songs when Dave gave the announcement about Richard Elliot not being able to make it due to illness. I have never been so disappointed during a live concert. I have seen so many live concerts but never experienced one so disappointing. I almost walked out when the announcement came but something told me to stay, so I did. I’m glad I stayed, the show was better than I expected however, being a huge Richard Elliot fan, I feel the show would have been way better if Richard was actually in the show! Maybe next year just maybe time will tell.
This was my 3rd Christmas Show. Outstanding as always. I've seen Dave many times other than Christmas shows. Always appreciate Dave's talent but impressed with his Guest's as well. Dave never makes it about himself. You always have opportunity to appreciate his Guest's talent as well
Great show as always! After almost 2 years of Covid hell it was inspiring and festive to see Dave and friends ring in the New Year!
Great show, Dave was awesome and Jonathan Butler was so good! Had a great dinner right down the street at Mosaic, just a wonderful holiday date night!!
We love Dave Koz and his friends. It’s always a great time and this year I brought my mom who had a lovely time.
My husband and I were very glad that Dave Koz brought his Christmas show to San Jose which isn't far from where we live in the East Bay. His choice of other performers was spot on and they were killing it with the selection of music they played. The venue at the San Jose Civic communicated what was necessary to see the concert during the Covid-19 pandemic and the surge of variants. I felt safe and was able to thoroughly enjoy the show. We had good seats and we were able to exit once the concert was done in a timely manner. Thank you.
