About

DAVE KOZ IN CONCERT:

When Dave Koz takes the stage, all is quiet as the audience intently listens to every pure note from the seasoned saxophonist. Playing both tenor and alto sax, his fingers glide across the instrument with an ease that can't be matched. Whether he's performing chart-topping hits like "Life In the Fast Lane" and "Put the Top Down" or launching into an epic solo, Koz's grace on the woodwind instrument is exceptional, full of trills, thrills, and spontaneity during his hit-filled set lists. Dave Koz returns to the stage in 2014 for his upcoming Summer Horns tour as well as a string of highly anticipated shows with Barry Manilow.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Starting out in his high school's jazz band, Dave Koz fell in love with the saxophone early on, deciding to pursue music full time after graduating from college. He landed on tour with Bobby Caldwell not long after and served as a studio musician in the '80s before launching his breakout solo career. Since then, Koz has released 15 studio albums — eight of which have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz chart — and four No. 1 jazz singles. Not only is the nine-time Grammy nominee a sensational saxophonist, but he's also a radio personality, television host, and philanthropist, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Koz will delight fans with his smooth jazz sounds on his upcoming tour dates.

Dave Koz and Brian Culbertson make a great team in their Side by Side Tour. Both extremely talented musicians who created an absolutely fantastic atmosphere and show. Old hits as well as news songs made it a very enjoyable evening. I would gladly attend their show again if it returned to my area. I don't know who was having more fun: the audience or Dave and Brian on stage. The musicians with them were very talented as well. Bottom line is this was an awesome show!

The best show of the concert season so far! Their synergy onstage was something to experience! Dave "Crazy Legs" Koz was so animated (more than usual), and Brian was at the top of his game (as usual) as well. The band was right in step with the flow and their interaction on stage was awesome. The venue was spectacular - it was a shame the show had to end. I look forward to seeing that duo together again soon.

We have seen both Dave and Brian, but never together. What an awesome show. We are so happy that Villa Montalvo is once again having a Summer Series. We have missed this treasure of a venue. We brought friends that have never had the pleasure of seeing this hidden jewel. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

The sound and evening was amazing. I had never seen Dave Koz before. He is an amazing performer. Peabo Bryson still has an amazing voice. The interacted with the audience. I would definitely go again. I would take my kids next time so that they can appreciate how good jazz music is.

Magnificent evening at Montalvo Arts Center with Dave Koz and Brian Culbertson on July 12. The venue is beautiful and the music was fantastic. This was the best Koz concert I have attended outside of the Vista Lounge on Holland America ships. Intimate, lush setting under the trees and under the stars, comfortable seats and sax from one of the best! Please keep smooth jazz in the Bay Area!

The Sandia Ampitheatre is the best place to get the most out of his concerts...there is nothing more enjoyable than listening to Dave Koz under the New Mexico night sky...you can't beat an evening of such great music!!! Thanks again!!! I look forward to your next stop here in the Duke City!!!

It was so good to see the two of them perform together again. They put out so much energy and entertained us with all that they had. What was really great, they did not try and shine on the other one. They had the audience engaged and we had a great time in a beautiful place. There was a meet and greet with Brian and his fanclub, which allowed us to meet other fan's of Brian and Dave dropped by and we were allowed to take pictures with them.
