When Dave Koz takes the stage, all is quiet as the audience intently listens to every pure note from the seasoned saxophonist. Playing both tenor and alto sax, his fingers glide across the instrument with an ease that can't be matched. Whether he's performing chart-topping hits like "Life In the Fast Lane" and "Put the Top Down" or launching into an epic solo, Koz's grace on the woodwind instrument is exceptional, full of trills, thrills, and spontaneity during his hit-filled set lists. Dave Koz returns to the stage in 2014 for his upcoming Summer Horns tour as well as a string of highly anticipated shows with Barry Manilow.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Starting out in his high school's jazz band, Dave Koz fell in love with the saxophone early on, deciding to pursue music full time after graduating from college. He landed on tour with Bobby Caldwell not long after and served as a studio musician in the '80s before launching his breakout solo career. Since then, Koz has released 15 studio albums — eight of which have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz chart — and four No. 1 jazz singles. Not only is the nine-time Grammy nominee a sensational saxophonist, but he's also a radio personality, television host, and philanthropist, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Koz will delight fans with his smooth jazz sounds on his upcoming tour dates.

We have seen Dave Koz numerous times over the years and we think he just gets better and better each time. What a concert! Brian was such a showman and so talented!! Unbelievable!
Dave Koz has never failed to surpass his previous concerts which are in themselves great but this time with Brian Culbertson, the energy level was amazing!! He puts so much thought into the entertainment factor and never disapoints, thanks, Dave. I would never consider missing one of his concerts cause I know it will be worth every penny. Even with the cool (preferable to some the heat we've had for previous concerts) weather, Dave and Brian heated up the audience with their participation. What a fun evening!! Hurry back, Dave!
Dave Koz/Brian Culbertson were wonderful! We loved it and we are going next year if they come back! It didn't last long enough!
Dave Koz really exudes his joy for performing and his fans. Always gets the fans hopping.
Dave Koz and Bryan Culbertson are great on their own but, together, it is a fantastic combination. This was one of the best performances of any music genre that I have seen. The entire family enjoyed the show. We hope they team up again next year.
I've been a fan of both musicians for over 13 years and this is my 3rd year seeing Dave at the Zoo. Both are terrific talents and even better entertainers. The interplay was fun and the respect for each other was obvious. The blended back up band is phenomenal. Great music, lots of energy, and everyone had fun - the band, Brian and Dave and the fans.
Not knowing Dave Koz that well and not seeing him before I was blown away... I bought the tickets for four of us and I turned out to be a hero among my friends for suggesting the concert...
What a great night of music. Dave & Brian clearly enjoyed the music as they were performing together and it showed. Their music blended well and was very enjoyable to listen and watch.

I've seen Dave Koz and Brian Culbertson 8 times now either together or by themselves and each has been outstanding. This venue however, the Minnesota Zoo Amphitheatre is my favorite outdoor spot. It was a perfect setting and a perfect show. Two thumbs way up!
I have seen him every year that he has come to this series in the Zoo and every time, I come away thinking how much I enjoy his music. He is truly amazing!!!!! I love his band members and always love the performers (Brian) that he brings to his shows. Love the smaller venue too. I will keep coming as long as he comes to Minnesota. He is truly a great performer and so fun to groove with!!!

Last evening's 'Minnesota Zoo Cocnert Series' featured renowned artists, Dave Koz and Brian Culbertson. From the opening medley, the Koz-Culbertson duo weaved a Funk-R&B-Soul-Pop tapestry that delighted the clearly appreciative amphitheater crowd of 2500-plus fans! It's one thing to hear an artist bring refreshing twists to familiar hit songs; it's nothing short of spectacular to witness two multi-talented artist-collaborators bring an electric freshness to songs like "You Make Me Smile"; "Bada Bing"; and "You Were Always Right Here" (a new composition). Add to the mix a driving, tight band; playful choreography and stellar instrumental solos, and you have a truly memorable concert!

This was quite simply the most awesome event I've ever attended! The intimate venue, Dave and Brian's energy... just awesome! What a beautiful setting!
Dave Koz put on another incredible show at the Minnesota Zoo. I had never seen Brian Culbertson in concert, but he rocked. The two of them really cooked! The energy was contagious. The venue was terrific (as always) and the night was magical! They were engaging and thoroughly enjoyed themselves and made the evening sp[ecial.
These are two of my favorite artists. The Minnesota Zoo was a great venue for them to do their thing. I love the audience interaction that they both displayed. I give them a five star rating. I will continue to see them when they visit Minnesota. The crowd was great!
