DAVE KOZ IN CONCERT:
When Dave Koz takes the stage, all is quiet as the audience intently listens to every pure note from the seasoned saxophonist. Playing both tenor and alto sax, his fingers glide across the instrument with an ease that can't be matched. Whether he's performing chart-topping hits like "Life In the Fast Lane" and "Put the Top Down" or launching into an epic solo, Koz's grace on the woodwind instrument is exceptional, full of trills, thrills, and spontaneity during his hit-filled set lists. Dave Koz returns to the stage in 2014 for his upcoming Summer Horns tour as well as a string of highly anticipated shows with Barry Manilow.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Starting out in his high school's jazz band, Dave Koz fell in love with the saxophone early on, deciding to pursue music full time after graduating from college. He landed on tour with Bobby Caldwell not long after and served as a studio musician in the '80s before launching his breakout solo career. Since then, Koz has released 15 studio albums — eight of which have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz chart — and four No. 1 jazz singles. Not only is the nine-time Grammy nominee a sensational saxophonist, but he's also a radio personality, television host, and philanthropist, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Koz will delight fans with his smooth jazz sounds on his upcoming tour dates.

BEST SHOW I HAVE SEEN TO DATE !! KOZ & CULBERTSON, THANK GOD CHICAGO STILL HAS SMOOTH JAZZ !!
Great show. All three performers were amazing. First time I've seen all three performers and look forward to seeing them perform again.
The concert was a hit. Everyone seemed to enjoy the selections and quite a few fans in the balcony stood during the majority of the 3 hour concert. The side musicans were great. PEABO BRYSON should consider an event of his own. As a fan from the 1970's, you can never have enough PEABO!
Once again Dave Koz was incredable. Full of energy and wonderful music. Additionally I have always wanted to see Brian Culbertson in concert since hearing him on radio station WSJT in Tampa Bay, Flordia 7 years ago. Dave, Brain along with Peabo Bryson left us singing and dancing all evening long. Can't wait for Dave's concert in December where Peter White will be featured. Kudos to Dave's band members as well.
I would have to say that the show was energizing to the Nth power. If anyone sat through the show without feeling that energy the ushers just might have found a corpse after everyone left the theatre. Looking forward to the Christmas show.
I may have seen a better show in the last 50 years but if so...I cant recall it! Brian and Dave have been Sirius and Ipod companions for years, but this was the first time I have seen them live....and I was blown away! Their musical genius was combined with almost unparalleled showmanship that provided a most memorable evening for my wife and I. The energy on stage was at a high level until the very end and was exhibited by every member of their combined band. The interplay between musicians displayed the utmost in respect for each other's talent and provided a "high" you normally would get at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. A music teacher once told me, 'It's not how well you play, it's how well you play with others!' Point proven.......!!
As always Dave Koz put on a great show, but having Brian Culbertson and Peabo Bryson with him was amazing. Great show. I am looking to get tickets somewhere else (if I can find a venue that is not sold out) during the tour. Worth traveling for and seeing again.
What a night, what a venue, what a performance WOW. I've never been into jaz but Dave and company made a believer out of me. This show gave me one more unforgetable memory of the Plaza theatre. It was my first time back since the renovation and what a way to make a come back. Thanks Dave, Brian and Peabo and all your great musicians and singers.
WOW! This concert was almost three hours long and action packed as well as filled with some of the best music by some of the best musicians we have ever heard. All three of the headliners showed what talented men they are, backed by band members who were each fantastic talents. The show was held in a beautiful old theater in El Paso, TX to a "sold-out" crowd. There wasn't a person left seated at the end of the show. It was tastefully and personally presented. Everyone there(musicians included) had a wonderful evening! We drove over 500 miles to see this concert and it was well worth it!
We appreciate good talent in El Paso, we were not disappointed. The concert was full of great mixes and very entertaining. Brian Culbertson was welcomed with open arms, he is a show stopper. Peabo will always have a special place in my heart. What can you say about Dave Koz, he has so many talents and really brings the audience into every note he plays. Overall, it was a great evening and we look forward to the next gig.
These three performed wonderfully together. It was an amazing show, mesmerizing, and the best we've ever seen! The energy from it lasted for hours after the concert was over. We highly recommend any Dave Koz performance!
As always Dave Koz delivers, and delivers BIG ! What an amazing artist ! His show is ALWAYS AWESOME. I love the way he plays the sax!! From beginning to end pure delight. As for Brian Culbertson - what a performer. Sexy, amazing stage presence and an absolute A1 musician. I loved his piano playing, I'm a fan ! Peabo Bryson-also a wonderful entertainer, what an amazing voice ! See you in December, I can't wait and I'm going to go on Dave's cruise if I can ever get tickets !!!
This has been the best Dave Koz & Friends show I have ever seen. They performed outstanding and pleased the sold out crowd.
This Dave Koz concert was as powerful and entertaining as all his previous concerts I have attended. He gets the audiance involve and takes them to the highest level of excitement.
His concert was memorable. He gives so much to his audience.Dave is not only a great musician but also an incredible entertainer. What i really liked about him was that he connected with the audience by making us laugh with his funny antics. I know I will continue to see him each time he returns to El Paso
Koz & Friends were on fire with their music and stage show. We even saw the man responsible for the show he was introduced as the director of music, played a mean bass. His guitar and bass player definately had their "licks down" very tasty stuff and utmost clean playing. Pianist Culbertson has just found a new fan, can't wait to go buy a cd or online download. Had to be their to appreciate this one! Can't wait till Koz & Friends come back in December, Stylist and many other fans will be there.
Excellent show, the fifth selltout for a Dave Koz concert. He was outstanding, Brian Culbertson exhibited great talent with the keyboard and trombone and Peabo was his usual smooth singing self. The band talent also was outstanding. This one got the crowd going and never let up. Great rapport with the audience, just a great show overall!
This show was outstanding. I have seen Dave Koz at least three time. Each time he has fulfilled my Jazz appetite. This is truly an outstanding show that everyone should go and see, and I mean everyone. Brian Culbertson is high energy, full of passion and is incredible. I had heard his music on XM, but had never seen him in concert. I am a huge fan now. He was awesome. Lastly Peabo Bryson continues to be Peabo an outstanding singer.
This was a uplifting show that entertained the whole crowd. The songs were new & old with a funky swagger. Dave & Brian worked well together.
Having been to numerous Dave Koz concerts in the past, this one tops them all. With Brian (the Culby) Culbertson and the Peabo Crew, the Kozmeister was Word Up. The only thing better would have been to add Rick Braun and Steve Cole (hey, could there be a ocean cruise with that bunch someday???) A 5th straight packed house in the beautiful downtown El Paso Plaza Theatre, every head in the place was shakin' and a movin'. The Kozmeister's crew was awesome, especially bassist Rubber-Hand Man Bill Sharpe (kinda reminds me of Wayman a bit). Whata night!
