Dave Chappelle, mastermind behind sketch comedy goldmine Chappelle's Show, made a triumphant return to stand-up comedy in 2013. While he's beloved for his famous impersonations of Rick James and Prince, Chappelle doesn't rely on old material for his stand-up act, treating fans to an all-original show featuring extensive improvisation as he interacts with audiences. At his 2013 performances on The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, which he co-headlined with Flight of the Conchords, Chappelle had fans rolling on the floor, building anticipation for his highly coveted 2014 tour dates.

Born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington, D.C., Dave Chappelle studied theatre arts in high school before moving to New York City to pursue standup comedy. Despite getting booed off stage at the Apollo Theater's infamous "Amateur Night," he remained resilient, going on to make a name for himself on the New York comedy circuit. Following several successful film appearances in the '90s, including a starring role in 1998 cult classic Half Baked, Chappelle debuted his namesake sketch comedy show on Comedy Central in 2003, finding both critical and commercial success. In 2006 he released Dave Chappelle's Block Party, a concert film set in Brooklyn featuring performances by Kanye West, The Roots, and a temporarily-reunited Fugees.

Can NOT put into words how amazing this night was. This was a night that we continue to talk about and realize how great it was! Can't wait to go back and bring others to experience the once in a lifetime night!
The will call only situation made it a slow process getting in. The venue is cool and everyone got 2 drink tickets. There were only a few tables off to the side and a few rows of chairs right in front of the stage were mostly reserved so we had to stand the whole time. This made actually seeing the performers difficult. I believe since one of the acts was music they kept the chairs to a minimum. Dave, by his own admission was very inebriated which took a toll on his delivery and level of “funny.” I’ve seen his a few times before and this was by far least funny performance I’ve ever seen by one of my all time favorite comedians. I was so excited to get tickets so this was really disappointing.
Dave's set was hilarious and engaging from start to finish. It was more energetic and unleashed than what the finalized Netflix version became too, so it made it SO much more fun to attend. I was sweating from laughing at one point, and I haven't done that in years. Come back to Detroit as soon as possible, Dave! We miss and need you badly. :D

If you get a chance to go to the YS Firehouse, it is amazing! Not a bad seat in the house... even in the back rows you are like 10 feet from the stage. It was crazy seeing Dave that close up, and he was hilarious as always. This was my 3rd time seeing him perform live in the last 13 months, and they were not the same jokes every time.... hard to do for someone who performs like every night! This man is a genius!
In Nashville, TN. Openers were funny, also saw Ashy Larry. But Dave is the goat, he’s hilarious as always, & what a great story teller! Hated to lock up our phones, which made getting in and out very hectic. But overall I’d def go to see more shows!!!!
Seeing him live was on the bucket list AND HE DIDNT DISAPPOINT I WAS sitting by the entry tunnel which was far from the stage but a great view to see them up close !!! PNC had a view interruptions and was right after the Boston show HE still did his thing. 🐐🐐🐐
Dave was great and always will be! Love his humor and the controversy! Me and my hubby were laughing the whole time, even with his openers! Oh, and the speech at the end was great too! Can't wait for the next show!🤞🏼I only wish we could have our phones for pictures.

Sound quality was terrible. If you were between the speakers, you could not hear. We moved over to empty seats to be able to know what was going on

This show was announced as a result of Dave day drinking and it was worth every minute. Dave gave us 75 minutes of pure unwritten comedy and it was AMAZING. Although we had to stand the entire show it was worth every bit of it, especially the Method Man joke ❤️
My wife and I were fortunate to attend a super intimate show tonight at Dave’s new venue, YS Firehouse in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It was great to see how much pride he took in his new club, and rightfully so. You can tell it’s really going to be a special place where artists can express themselves freely. Looking forward to making many more memories at the YS Firehouse.
He’s so freaking amazingly funny. Love his story telling ability. I’ll go see him every time he’s here.
