About

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

  • Was expecting a little more.

by Jess S on 3/15/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 3 out of 5

My girls have been Daniel Tiger fans for years. This was our first time seeing him live and we were super impressed. It would have been nice if all the characters looked like Daniel. That was complicated to explain why some had faces of humans and Daniel didn’t. We would not go back.

  • Cute and entertaining show

    by H on 3/10/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Show was entertaining for children. It had lots of constant movement and music. I wish they would cut out intermission or do it in the first 20 minutes or so because all the children are restless when they come back. The songs are well known and interactive.

  • Amazing and not sensory overload!

    by Summerluvn78 on 3/9/22Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Great time had by 2yr, 8yr and all the kids! It was a fun event, probably the most relaxed, not over stimulated kids event I have ever taken my kids or grandkids to!

  • Terrible

by Adam on 3/6/22Stephens Auditorium - AmesRating: 1 out of 5

I received an email the day before that the event was pushed back a day!! My granddaughter missed the event entirely which was heartbreaking to us and her parents!!! I don’t know why it was pushed back but more advanced notice would have been very nice!!! I’m not sure I will be buying anymore tickets through Ticketmaster!!!!

These were a Christmas gift to our three year old daughter. She loves Daniel tigers neighborhood. She had the best time and stayed engaged throughout the entire show. It brought her so much joy! She asked if we could go again after the show was over. Such a precious memory we will remember for years to come!

  • Probably was good

by Grandad on 3/11/20Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

Well since I am over 60 with COPD and my beautiful grandaughter was born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs, we did not go. VIP tickets. And I am very surprised and somewhat angry that the event was not rescheduled. But I understand how TM works. I've been buying tickets from you for decades. Decades. You already got our money, Right?

  • Fun visit with a friend

by Dita on 3/11/20Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Colorful, music and dance filled visit with a friend. Easy to follow story line that included familiar characters and activities. Some of youngest audience members left at intermission, maybe too long for those under 2. Venue has great sight lines from all seats, plenty of booster seats available

  • Great venue for kids!

by Maggie on 3/8/20Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Super understanding staff who accommodated the needs of the little ones in attendance.

  • You have to pay for new borns

by Gaby on 3/4/20Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great my babies loved it, but I can’t believe they made my wife and I have to pay for a baby under 1 years old. That’s crazy. He didn’t use up a seat.

  • Venue needs to be more family / toddler friendly

by David on 3/4/20Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 2 out of 5

We should not have to pay for a ticket for a 10 month old. Also, half of those waiting in line to go into the show had to leave the line and go back to their car because food was not allowed in. Most parents had snacks for their toddler. The venue should be more toddler friendly, given the nature of the show.

  • Great!

Kids loved it! Super time for everyone! Would do it again.

  • Wonderful Family Experience

    by K. B. on 3/3/20Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was full of fun music, dancing and great life lessons for children. Best live children’s program we have attended. Kids have been talking about it for days.

  • DT show

    by M. G. on 3/3/20Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

It was very entertaining and my daughter, she is 2, enjoyed the whole show. She was engaged, loved the digital trolly moving around the play house, and would engage with us and her aunt through out the show.

  • DID NOT disappoint

    by T. on 2/29/20Tucson Music Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing show. They scheduled a hockey game at the same time and wouldn’t let us park nearest to the venue so we had to go to lot b at the TCC and the line to pay was outrageous, took 25 minutes as they even let a car in front of us transfer funds to pay for $20 parking so myself along with at least 40 other families were running to the venue with our kids and missed the first 15 minutes of the show. But my 4yo daughter loved it and it even engaged my 10 month old son which absolutely loves the intro song too daniel tiger (so that was disappointing to miss) but nothing but great things to say about the show!

  • Grandson had a blast

by Pops on 2/29/20Tucson Music Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Three year old grandson had a blast. He's typically very active, so we weren't sure if it would hold his attention but he was mesmerized by the whole show. Great venue and great performance.

  • Yyy

Great show my kids had fun cant wait for them to come back..

  • Notsosure

by DR on 2/29/20Tucson Music Hall - TucsonRating: 3 out of 5

The show was fun but the seats were not so great. My girls couldnt were quite bored because all the excitment was on the lower level. The pricing wasn't worth the seats or the length of the show, and it was in a weekday.

  • Exciting!!

by Katie on 2/7/20Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

We all loved this show. My 2 year old was so excited to see Daniel Tiger and couldn't get enough. My husband and i really enjoyed it as well. The characters high energy and constant movement kept us all entertained. The only downside was that it ended around 8 which led to lots of fussy kids in the audience towards the end.

  • It was exactly what we expected, sfun songs and adorable
