About

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

  • Okay show

by Shelly on 4/19/22Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Wish there wasn’t so much babies crying during the show. I notice alot of parents left before the show was after some never same back after the intermission due to their children crying. For what the show was worth the ticket price was to high $15 for a seat is more reasonable. My daughter had a good time but could hardly hear which they had louder mics and speakers in the different sections of the theater.

  • Daniel Tiger Experience

by AshleyB on 4/19/22Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

Took my 3 1/2 yr old grandson. The show itself was ok, but the sound was terrible. We could barely hear what was being said and we had pretty good seats, row DD. The sound projection for the show was not loud enough to hear over the very unruly and loud audience. Would have enjoyed more had not been for the sound and the audience. We left at intermission, what’s a show that you can’t hear. Wish Broward Center would have intervened from the start, stating the importance of quite!

  • Disappointed

by Sabine on 4/19/22Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

We were so excited to take our 2 kids , ages 2 and 6 to Daniel Tiger .unfortunately it was a big let down . The show was not exciting or happy , it was just blah .I wish I would have looked at a video of the show , I would not have signed up for it . My daughter said the show was okay . My husband , myself or my son did not like it at all . My little son was asking to go . He was telling us several times , he is ready to leave . It was not fun , or happy . Like I said , I think the show and the costumes need a fresher attitude. We felt that we wasted over $ 240- we regret going . If you are on the fence - don’t go . Or buy the cheapest tickets that they offer

by Michelle on 3/31/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

We attended the performance with 2 granddaughters, Emery, age 2 1/2 years old and Vivienne, age 7months! They were both mesmerized by the performance. The actors did a great job and the volume of the performance was perfect. Such a magical day for all of us!

  • Perfect show for 4 year old

by Syllynn on 3/30/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I took our granddaughter (almost 4 years old) to see the Daniel Tiger Show and we were very impressed. She was enthralled the entire show and engaged with the interactive parts. The length of the show was just right with the 15 minute intermission a nice break. The performers were great singers and dancers. The content was simple with wholesome messages of being kind to your neighbor. Overall, it was a special, memorable evening for the 3 of us. Our granddaughter asks to hear the Daniel Tiger songs now when we are on our way to her dance and swimming classes!

  • Nice building love Balboa Theater

by Newel on 3/30/22Balboa Theatre - San DiegoRating: 4 out of 5

Daniel tiger neighbor was great. The staff was doing an incredible job accommodating the public with their kids and little ones. The only concern is the facility need to be more sanitized and clean. Especially when our loved ones like ealderlies and little ones are less immune inside closed facilities like balboa thest and touching the seats and floors need to be more clean.

  • Super great for parents and kids!

    by C. A. on 3/29/22Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

It was such a pleasure to take my almost two year old daughter to a live PBS show that she watches at home in the mornings and she how she acted. She truly loved the familiar songs and how awesome the characters were live. It truly was a once in a life time experience to see such joy and be apart of it. Who knew how many songs I knew as well.

  • Just wondering if someone can write back about age

by Steez on 3/26/22Rating: 5 out of 5

What is the the required age for tickets. I bought two but have a toddler that isn’t two yet.

  • Get there early!

by Josh on 3/22/22Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great but the parking to the theater was much farther away than I anticipated. Also the intermission was supposed to be 15 mins but was closer to 25 mins.

  • About As Expected

by JD on 3/22/22Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This was a cute show. The kids loved the songs, the choreography was better than I thought it would be for a kids show, and the costumes and set pieces were colorful and age appropriate. Definitely recommend for the preschool and under crowd.

  • Granddaughter's First Time Going To a Production

by Nana Niecy on 3/22/22Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood was the perfect production for that first time toddler attendee! It lasted a little over one hour and incorporated all of the familiar characters, concepts, songs, etc. If I am going to be honest, it was a little pricey, they're weren't enough booster seats for viewing, and it was held during most toddlers nap time. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience which held my granddaughter captivated for the entire show!

  • Great fun for the family
