Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

  • Great show

My 3, almost 4, year old absolutely loved the show. Even from the balcony he felt a part of everything. My 5, almost 6, year old said she was too big but found herself dancing and having the best time when she found she knew all of the songs they sang. I worried their attention span wouldn’t last the show but they were hooked the entire time. This was a special event part of their birthday month of celebration and was an absolute hit!

It was great except we arrived when show was starting and could not locate our seats; we could also not locate folks to assist us in locating our seats other than that one moment it was awesome. Very friendly staff.

This was a great show for my two year old daughter. Costumes were strange on some characters but overall a good show. My little one loved the singing. Great theater!

A talented cast danced, sung and told stories that captured the attention of the mostly toddler audience. The show moved quickly and was a fun 75 minutes for everyone!

  • Way to much money for what you get

Not worth extra money for meet and greet. Only stood in line for a picture with our camera.

  • Underwhelmed

    by S. on 1/22/20Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

There was no plot. There should have, at the very least, been a plot.

  • Astounding employees!

by Truquest on 1/22/20Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 4 out of 5

There was snow/sleet falling, yet the event staff were outside ensuring safe crossings for theater goers and directing traffic. Some signage or markings in the parking lot, or better direction where to park would've been nice

  • It was okay

by Nicole on 1/21/20Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 3 out of 5

I spent $400 on tickets and meet and greet passes. With this being a PBS event, I expected a little bit more of a production. I know this is a kids’ show; but it reminded me of a low budget high school production, it should have been high school production pricing. The only character in full costume was Daniel Tiger. Margaret was a stuffed animal. No you didn’t read that wrong. She was a stuffed animal. My kids could have put this kind of a production on at home. Highly disappointed.

  • Cute Show!!

Third row seats were awesome. Cute show for the kiddos!! Two suggestions would be have something more interactive before the show in addition to Trolley flashing all over the walls & ceiling of the theater. Have more photo opportunities other in addition to cardboard of the characters on Trolley.

We really enjoyed this show! Quick-paced to keep attention of the little ones, and filled with all of the familiar Daniel Tiger songs and lessons. The cast was fantastic, and the set was cute as well. I loved that there was a little intermission. My kids won’t stop talking about the singing garbage pails!

This was a very fun event. My daughter is 3 years old, and she is a big fan of Daniel Tiger. This show captivated her and held her attention the entire time. It was nice to have a brief intermission with snacks available for purchase. The cast and crew put on a great show!

  • Great

Great seats, think sound could’ve been much better

  • Cute but we left early

by Erin on 5/22/19Lynn Auditorium - LynnRating: 3 out of 5

My three year old LOVED when we saw Paw Patrol Love at the Boch Center, but this production wasn’t quite up to par. It was at the Lynn Auditorium and the acoustics and visibility weren’t great, even though we bought good seats in the “center orchestra” section. The production didn’t keep her attention - the only time she really was happy was when there were songs, and there weren’t that many and they were all really short. About 20 minutes in she said “I want to go home” - this from a kid with an incredible attention span. We left at intermission.

  • Cute show

The show was cute. The songs were able to catch the attention of my 17 month old. My 3 year old was able to focus. The timing of the show was okay. They offered 2pm and 5:30pm on a Sunday. For the age group, 2pm tends to be nap time and 5:30 could be hitting bed time. I would recommend considering that for future shows. With already overtired children (as mentioned nap time), the show didn’t start right at 2. It was about 10 minutes late. It’s hard to keep the focus of toddler aged kids while waiting for the show to start. The kids liked it, but i wish timing was better.
