About

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

    Kids loved it!

by Advocatemommio on 5/18/22Chevalier Theatre - Medford

I think the delayed start was tough for the kids, but the actual show was perfect! “O” was awesome! Wish the little wand things they sold actually worked! $10 bucks and it didn’t last the show.

    Surprisingly Enjoyable for Adults, too!

by Nan on 5/10/22Capital One Hall - Tysons

Took my 7-year old grandson to the show. He absolutely loved it and was captivated throughout. At the end of the show, he said, "When I grow up, I want to be Prince Wednesday!" I thought the show was well-casted. The actors all had high energy, portrayed their characters really well, and they were all talented dancers and singers. Only downside: The show started ~20 minutes late, and the 15-minute intermission lasted ~25 minutes. With an original 6:00 show time for young children, this made for a late night for the toddlers in the audience. Some were clearly out of sorts by the end of the show. And some audience members left during intermission due to the late timing. Capital One Hall is a great venue. Will look forward to seeing some concerts there in the future.

    It was okay

by SL on 5/4/22Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

It was cute for our two year old, but it was super noisy with the screaming, crying kids, so they needed to turn up the volume some. And it would have been great to have a better variety of snacks at the concession stand.

    My little one’s first show

by Allyson on 4/30/22Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium - Chattanooga

It was a very cute live show and my 18 month old loved it. At his age I didn’t know how his attention span would be but the songs and performance were great and the length of time was perfect for his age. The only downfall is that like most shows they don’t allow photography or video recording. And I understand and while it was amazing to see the joy on my littles ones face first hand, I couldn’t really capture an image of that to share with those who couldn’t be there.

    Worth every penny

by Belinda on 4/29/22Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

We took our 31/2 year old granddaughter and she was transfixed through the entire show. It was her first show, and just watching her expressions was so fun. Will definitely take her younger sister the next time Daniel tiger comes to town. We live in Asheville NC and drove 2 hours to see Daniel tiger in Knoxville. Wonderful memories were made!

    Crooks

by Jorge contreras on 4/20/22Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

My children ended up contracting Covid, and therefore I wasn’t going to risk the general public and when I wrote to Ticketmaster they basically told me to kick rocks. I spent $500 on taking my family and we didn’t even get to enjoy the show, so when asking for at least a credit they tell me there not offering refunds at this time. I use Ticketmaster for all my event purchases but I guess I have to think twice next time. Incredibly greedy on their part. I was asking for a credit to take my family to any event after they recover, but I guess corporate greed is more important than doing the right thing for the customer.
