Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

  • Not what I expected, but still a great show

I can only speak from an adult's perspective and not my 2.5 son's. I thought the costuming would have been more sophisticated, and not as gaudy for Daniel, his parents, O, and Katerina. I kept feeling like Daniel's head was going to fall off because it wobbled and that he was going to fall over himself because the costume was so disproportionate. I expected to see kid actors play the kids. Daniel was as tall as his parents and Teacher Harriet. But... the sketches and stage props were awesome. I paid a little extra for the Meet and Greet, which featured only Daniel and O. Overall, the cost per ticket and experience has me looking forward to the next performance.

  • great show

what a great show from the start.. But one thing I hope they change is that you wait a long time for them to start ! and with a toddler that could be trouble.

  • Kids loved it

So it was super fun for the kids, which made me happy. But the show is way too loud As others said, the characters personalities were not true to the tv show, but my kids didn't notice at all. (Katerina was terribly squeky) Overall, worth it as a special treat for my Tiger loving girls age 7 and 4.

The show was fine... not a lot of expectations... my son who is almost 4 really enjoyed it...seems odd given the ticket prices that they can't afford to have a Miss Elena and a teacher so that characters can all be together at school... same for Prince Wednesday and Owl.. I would think that the 5 main characters should be set with 5 players and then the rest of the supporting crew could work out the bits and pieces... but what I was really disappointed about was the fact that we paid a fair bit of $$ for a meet and greet after the show -- and only Daniel and Owl were there...my son was very disappointed as he was looking forward to meeting Katerina... we waited nearly a 1/2 hour in line and when we got upstairs his face dropped... again... if they were not charging so much for the privilege it would not be a big deal - but really would it kill the rest of them to stay in character for another hour...

  • Highly recommended!

We took our almost 2 year old daughter to the show since Daniel Tiger is her favorite character and she was in awe. She did not move the entire show and kept on asking for more. I wish the characters were fully dresses (for everyone except Tiger you could see their faces) but the kiddos dont care. The actors were great and very energetic and they sang lots of songs from the show. Definitely recommended!

If you happen to get tickets on groupon then grab them but I feel that I paid too much for the tickets and Daniel Tiger's head was way too big and a bit creepy looking. This particular performances included some songs and dances I never heard of. And some references had nothing to do with some of the characters. My son didn't like it but he didn't hate it either.

  • Phenomenal show

The actors were great and sang beautifully. The story line was fun filled and my daughter sang along with the characters and also said their lines.

  • Perfect!

Took my two year old granddaughter and days later she's still talking about it.

  • Absolute Delight

From start to finish, this show was a pure pleasure. Bright, animated and performers had beautiful voices to boot. Some audience interaction and well timed for young viewers. Daniel Tiger really came to life as did his memorable neighborhood. So well done!

It was good for the older kids 4 and up. Took my 2 year old, got there at 12:45 show was suppose to start at 1:00 it didn't start until 1:30, my daughter was done after the second song. Wish they would have just stated it would it was going to start later. The venue only had a cash only bar and one ATM which was, wait for it.... "Out of Service". So my little one was not a happy camper. Oh well hopefully a lesson learned on both ends.

  • Fun, but...

by Flo83 on 5/5/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 4 out of 5

My son was almost 2 when we took him. He loved the lights and when the characters ran around among the audience. However, once they were back on stage he was bored...we left after the first act, that's all he could do. Older kids that can sit better would probably like it more. The only issue, I don't see kids much older watching Daniel Tiger. We also paid through the nose for these tickets. Was it WAY too expensive? YES!!!

Me and my family enjoy the show. Entering and exiting the civic center was very disorganized.

  • My son loved it

It was such a cute show for all the Daniel fans . They did a great job , lots of singing and dancing . It's a small arena so anywhere you sit is great .

  • Enjoyable for kids but not worth the money

by Nynurse10 on 5/5/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 2 out of 5

This venue was terrible - $10 parking when normally free...one elevator into parking garage for everyone and they closed off the stairs. Had to stand in the rain and wait in line to go through ticket line - venue was very cold and snacks/drinks were ridiculously expensive( I suppose as expected) Gift/souvenir items $10-25 and not worth it. Show started late and was mediocre for children at best....unfortunately I hadn't waited for the groupon and paid WAY to much money for this show....my 2 and 3 year old girls enjoyed the show but I found them to sing along and enjoy the show on television moreso than the live show - save your money.

  • Save your money and watch the tv show!

by Anonymous on 5/4/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 2 out of 5

Save your money and watch the TV show. Show started 20 minutes late (which is unacceptable for a children's show!), and my kids, who are 4 and 2 were bored 15 minutes in. They LOVE watching the show on TV, so we figured this would be their cup of tea. Not so much!

  • Daniel tiger neighborhood

by Amsween on 5/4/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 4 out of 5

I took two 2 year olds. One was mesmerized and the other not so much. I have to say I thought it was wonderful however the volume in the mid Hudson civic center was WAY to loud. I saw parents putting their hands over their child's ears. When volume is sooo high it distorts the clarity of the voices.

  • Daniel Tiger was GGGREAT!

by murf9898 on 5/4/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic!! My daughter has been watching Daniel Tiger since she was 9 months and she in now 2 1/2. I would bring her back just to see the incredible look on her face when the curtains opened and through out the show. The only thing I didn't like was they had a 15 min break. When you have little kids at a show they don't know why there is a break. She thought the show ended and was crying. Also kids attention spans aren't so long. So it would be better with no break and go straight threw.

  • GREAT KIDS SHOW

by Wifflejeans on 5/4/16Mid Hudson Civic Center - PoughkeepsieRating: 3 out of 5

The show was great for my daughter. She was up from her seat dancing along to the songs in front of her seat. We had VIP tickets which included a meet and greet with Daniel and a poster. We NEVER received the poster.

  • Disappointing; So much lost potential

by DanielTigerFans on 4/3/16Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

First, the costumes are odd. Why can we see the heads of the people portraying o, katerina and the tiger family? I've seen live adaptations of other shows, so I know it's possible to have costumes where we aren't looking at the faces of the people wearing the costumes. Not to mention how disturbing it looks to have their faces sticking out of the costumes heads. The show has some wonderful music and songs and I wished they'd used more of those and not come up with the new songs they did. Standalone, they might be fine for a children's show but I did not feel they represented Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. The Live show itself was too loud and in your face. Our number one reason for loving the show is it's calm nature. I don't feel the characters personalities were reflected accurately. O the Owl is calm and quiet, not bouncing all over the place. Same with Dad Tiger. And pretty much everyone on the Live version. The premise of the Live show was a good idea (helping and being good neighbors.) I just personally feel it could have been executed better. So disappointed because we drove from another state so our kids would have an opportunity to see this.
