About

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

    My grandson’s 1st live show

by Cherry O on 2/7/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Being able to take my 2 year old grandson to see Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood was a pure joy! My oldest daughter (his mom) and I both enjoyed watching him take in the sensory adventure of live theater and express his excitement viewing the projected trolley moving all around the theater before the show even started! He was taken in by the music, the costumes, the dancing, and all of the lights and colors on the stage. Being able to purchase memorabilia and take photos of him in front of the trolley backdrop will allow us to remember and relive the experience for years to come. And the messages brought forth by the characters were positive and inspirational! Perfect for a 2 year old’s first trip to the theater!!

    Good not Great

by Mike S on 1/31/24Stifel Theatre - St. Louis

Took our Grandson (4 yrs old) to see Daniel Tiger. The music was good, the actors were good. The sets reminded me of a high school play. I realize that is an homage to the actual show, but in the live version you think they could do a little more. There wasn't much in the way of audience interaction that would appeal to young kids in my opinion. I thought there would be more of that. And it was a bit dialogue heavy for younger kids. Our 4 yr old lasted to intermission. A nice show and enjoyed the Stifel Theater setting, but nothing to write home about.

    Good Show for Toddlers

by Yvie on 1/17/24Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

The content of the show was good and the message about kindness is great for kids. However my son is just shy of 5 years old and I believe this show is better suited for kids in the 3 to 4 years old range.

    A Sweet Show!

by RB on 1/17/24Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I was nervous about the sound after reading some reviews, but our show in NJ had crystal clear sound that was well heard over the tiny, loud audience. My youngest is a Daniel fanatic and he LOVED it, but all three of my kids aged 9, 5 and 3 had a great time! The costumes were fantastic and the actors put their hearts into their performances. We loved how they used lots of the Daniel tiger songs and stories that are well known. The kindness theme was great too! I love the inclusion and diversity. We love Daniel Tiger!

Nice Venue, Fun Show, Colorful. A Bit Repetitive.

by Craig P. on 1/17/24Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

My wife and I took our two adult daughters and two grandsons one 3 years old and the other 2 years old. Bergen PAC is a nice venue. We had center balcony, Row P and frankly the seats were not too bad. It is a well run facility. Lots of staff, organized, clean. Apple Juice and small waters were all $1 each. Can't beat that. The show itself was good. A little repetitive, maybe that is the territory. They could have mixed it up a little more and added more variety and zip to the story. Overall fun afternoon.

    A great experience!

by Mom Tiger S on 1/17/24Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I bought tickets unsure if the live action would hold my 2 year old year olds attention and I’m so glad I did! We had such a fun time. The performers were amazing. The set was fun and we all left in such a good mood. We recognized some songs from the show and heard some new ones (we have not watched every episode). The show was around 30 mins and then a 15-20 minute break for a snack and then came back for another 30 or so. (Approximate times) I would recommend going to see this show! I only wish Dad Tiger was in the show more as he is an important character. He was in one scene.

Energetic, upbeat, beautiful show. My 4-year-old and even 13-year-old girls enjoyed it as much as my wife and I did. Great family afternoon. Thank you for such a fantastic show.

    Amazing Show!!

by SarahERei on 6/9/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

What a wonderful show! The venue was excellent and our seats were great. The show itself was so much fun for the kids. My daughters just adored it. The staff was great too. The only criticism is that this was a kids show for very young kids and it started at 6:30. This was quite late for little ones. My 2 year old sadly was having a huge exhaustion meltdown by the end. Highly recommend the show though and the venue!

    difficult experience

by JEL on 6/6/22State Theatre - Minneapolis

Taking a 2 1/2 year old to see his favorite TV character, I expected more. The sound wasn't loud enough to overcome a full house of preschoolers. For a 60+ min show beginning at 6:30, it would have been better for the audience attention span to forego the "15 min" intermission (which was actually 25), have more audience participation, fewer dialogues, more music and action and go straight through and end by 7:30.

    Poor sound, horrible timing

by Disappointed on 6/6/22State Theatre - Minneapolis

With a target market of one - five year olds, a 6:30 pm ( ya know, bedtime) was a Big ask for most in the crowd. The sound was horrible. Going in and out at times. The merchandise was depleted early…. All in all, really not worth it.
