Dallas Mavericks History
The Mavericks joined the NBA as an expansion franchise in the 1980–81 season, becoming the league’s third team in Texas, joining the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets. The Mavericks struggled in their inaugural season, but quickly improved with Mark Aguirre, who became the franchise's first All-Star and took the team to their first playoff series in the 1983–84 season. The Mavericks went on to qualify for the playoffs for four more consecutive seasons, culminating in a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 1987–88. They came within one win of the NBA Finals, losing to the Lakers in seven games.
Dallas struggled throughout the '90s, but a new era began when the Mavericks acquired Dirk Nowitzki in 1998. Ownership of the team was sold to Mark Cuban in January of 2000. Cuban immediately began to revitalize the franchise, building around a central trio of Nowitzki, point guard Steve Nash and wing Michael Finley. In Cuban's inaugural year owning the Mavericks, they made the playoffs for the first time in 11 years. This began a streak in which they qualified for the playoffs for 12 consecutive seasons. In the 2011 NBA Finals, they defeated the HEAT in six games to win the only championship in franchise history.
Nowitzki retired in 2019 and passed the torch to Luka Dončić, who led the Mavericks to four straight playoff berths, including the 2022 Western Conference Finals and 2024 NBA Finals.

As far as my experience.. I didn’t enjoy it as much. We ordered the steak nachos and I was not pleased. The meat was disgusting. The margarita was watered down. The only thing I enjoyed was my $9 sprite. The seating was horrible. It was not the view I agreed to. We left at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
F-150 section... our host was awesome and made this event special for my husband... She got a team to sing Happy Birthday... we were on the jumbo tron... it was an awesome event for both of us... the food was also good... would definitely do it again...
It’s always a great experience at the game! Seat 101 row M
For Christmas presents, I gave my family tickets to the game. We had an extremely great time! The drinks at the bar were insanely expensive though.
I went to this game for my birthday and it was am amazing trip. Got to our seats and it was am amazing view. Until the people infront of us came.. after that i didnt even get to watch the game on my birthday. I was on the floor matching it on the big screen. Such a disappointment for my birthday. Wish the seats were escalated more so you could actually watch the game
An incredible life experience, friendly attention by the staff of the AAC, although if you don't understand very well the language you have problems since most of the staff does not speak Spanish, the On the Floor Before the Door event is an experience very awsome, you can see the players of both teams in the warming up but you can't take pictures with thems, the view is spectacular, i recommended buy the tickets for this type of event.
My seats were great. A decent gift was given to the fans. The fans were intense but have each 9ther respect unlike some other sports stadiums I have been to. The players gave us a great show and of course the game was competitive! I have been to a game with my wife and went tonthis one by myself and enjoy both.
All was well! We couldn't have ask for a better experience.
The game was exciting. Sad that Mavs lost 106-105. The atmosphere was fun and exciting. We had purchased the "On the floor before the door" extra feature but got confused about the time. We arrived at 5:30 PM only to learn that the game was to begin at 6:30 and our special event was over. However, the Mavs staff was very gracious and allowed us to go into the Hand Slap Line. The woman in charge of this event was very kind and thoughtful, also efficient. The man who was emcee of this activity was funny. Our two sons greatly enjoyed this activity, getting to slap hands with the Mavs players as they ran from dressing room to the floor. Our boys thought that this was a cool experience. Thanks for working this out for us. Let's Go Mavs!
had great fun taking my mom ahead of her birthday, I expected nothing less from AAC and the Dallas Mavs
Just wish I could’ve gotten in the arena on time but the traffic & parking was really bad. Once I got in however, it was awesome as always!
We had a time. I brought my son and His friend, but We we’re surrounded by drunk men all behind Us. I thought they were going to fight the gentleman beside Us at one point. Just wasn’t relaxing until they left ended up leaving early. When we got to our seats we didn’t have any necklaces or posters as well. I know they’re free with the seat but we had to find some on empty seats at the end. He wants to come and see the pelicans next. I’m going to get those tickets in a different spot next time.
My daughters Turn 30 years old on January 9,and she wanted to attend the Lakers vs The Mavericks game there in Dallas. So I surprised her with a trip from Olathe Kansas to Dallas to watch the Lakers vsMavericks game. We had a blast she really enjoyed the game, and we also made the big screen.
I enjoyed every moment of this game will definitely be visiting the arena again with my family🥰🥰🥰
Section 121 was spacey and easy access. The win topped off a great night!
Great game and constant entertainment. The food was good and there was quite a selection. Parking was an issue. The parking garages were pass only and there were no directions to public lots. We were late because we spent so much time trying to find parking and ended up parking on a side street about a mile or two away.
The customer service was unexpected and really nice. I’ve been to a few games around the country but the customer experience at AAC is the best! Their food is good too!
It was as so much fun!! I did miss the first quarter bc waiting for my chicken strips they gave away to another customer...but other than that we had a great time!!
one i First arrived parking was very easy to rind and very affordable. I love how there was many options to eat if you arrived a few hours early to pick from. once I entered the arena I was greeted by a very friendly staff. I got lots of free stuff . concession starf was pretty reasonable for event prices. Getting to my seat was Easy and very comfortable for event seats. The gane was everything I hoped for. tons of little offers to get free stuff. I'm most definitely coming back. LET'S GO MAVS
