  • Interesting Experience!

    by Deckie67 on 10/2/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I have attended many football matches across Europe over the years, but this was my first football match in the US - or soccer game - as the Americans call it. It was all razzamatazz from the start. The parachute drop, the ceremonial kick off, the half time entertainment and so on. One thing that surprised me was that a large portion of the fans seemed to have no interest in the actual match. Many arrived in half way through the first half, but still had plenty of time to buy enormous quantities of match food before taking their seats. Others seemed to be more interested in waving to their friends and seeing who was there. And then they left before the end of the match! At times there seemed to be as many out in the food vending areas as in watching the game. However it was a very interesting & enjoyable experience and felt extremely safe, with no tension at all

  • DC United is a miss

by Anonymous on 9/29/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Stadium is poor, but I believe they are building a new one, food was awful, lots of staff wandering around looking as if they dont know what to do, stood at a gate after asking if we were at the right one just to be held up for 25 mins until the home support got in then advised to go to another gate to get in quicker? Excessive amount of staff walking around in view of game, lots of supporters walking around meeting friends like they were at a mall, also in view of the game, not a great promotion for soccer, sorry.

  • DC United

by Kcdonya on 9/27/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This game was awesome, but RFK sucks. No real food vendors either. The DC United players deserve to play in an awesome arena. The seats were good and the game was an exciting experience.

  • Great match!

    by DCUfan25 on 9/27/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The match itself was fantastic, winning 4-1 to get above the red line. The seats were super close to the field with players walking by from the opposing team. Hard to see what was going on at the other end of the field, but the action on the near side was great. I do not suggest these sits if you have kids though. Since it is so close the field, the view is blocked by the people in the one row in front of you. When they stood up, the kids could not see. Would have been good to know there are a lot of photographers that stand on the end line blocking the view. It's also annoying when security has a group meeting right in front of you.

Enthusiastic crowd, helpful staff, and lively atmosphere.

  • Six goals on Saturday night

by Belgaboy on 8/30/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The game was fun and exciting, due mainly to a high-scoring performance by DC United. Acosta proved to be the real play-maker that the team was looking for. The red card given to a Chicago player obviously destabilized the visitor's collective organization. The momentum is now on DC United side for the end of the season and hopefully the play-offs.

  • A rainy day at RFK

by Belgaboy on 8/24/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The game was interrupted for more than one hour due to a summer rain storm. The playing conditions were therefore not optimal. Nevertheless, both teams delivered a strong performance, especially in the second half. DC United managed a come back from two goals down in just a few minutes. The team looks better than earlier in the regular season, with more passing accuracy in the midfield and more speed and striking power upfront. If they continue this positive trend, they should clinch a play-off spot.

  • Well Done

by DBDJR on 8/24/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

A significant delay in the match due to storms was handled very well by management. Hope new stadium will be able to accommodate such a problem. RFK excess space is huge so it was easy.

  • SKC Fan Visiting the Area

    by CB87 on 8/16/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I was in the area visiting a friend and thought this would be fun. Overall it was fun. The stadium and vendor options need work. A fun way to enjoy DC sports.

  • Great Night Out

    by Paz2 on 8/9/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It was a fantastic night on the town. DC United puts on a great show and the game was intense.

  • by Anonymous on 8/9/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

I would recommend a soccer game to friends but not at RFK! The stadium looks like it may fall down at any minute, when I sat down in my seat I thought for sure it would break. A coat of paint over EVERYTHING would go a long way what a dump! The game over all was great and the halftime was cute though.

  • Entertaining game

by Sunpacy on 8/9/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

It was good easy to find parking seats were great and the game had some few minute that nothing happen but towards the end got really exciting the RFK stadium seems under renovation but if not it need some work the tv screen is very small for today standard and are not stands behind the goals food is terrible like in any stadium and expensive like in any stadium leaving the stadium was easy too great experience and safe going with family

  • DC v Philly

by SteveSh on 8/9/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

My first game of 'proper' football in America. By no means the English Premier League, but an enjoyable experience. Disappointing crowd, and most fans seemed fairly oblivious about what was going on until someone actually scored. 2-2 was probably about right on the night. If I was DC Manager i'd have been asking (in the dressing room obvs) why they couldn't play at the tempo of the last 10 minutes for longer; especially when they went behind.

  • What a Game!!

by joelisacoolkid on 8/9/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

So this was my first D.C. United experience. I recently moved and my family came to visit so I decided to take them to the game. I love that people call to make sure you are ready for the game and also follow up with you to see if you enjoyed your experience. The stadium wasn't crazy packed and there was no traffic leading into the game. The game itself was AMAZING!! We ended up tieing in the last 5 extra minutes! The atmosphere of the fans is awesome as well. If you have yet to experience a game, you must!

  • Nice to see Didier Drogba

by Gazdouk on 8/3/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

The seats were near the field so you had a close look to the players but too many angles were obstructed by the security staff so when they were some action plays near our side of the field by the goalie we could not see anything and the security team would not move. Hopefully the new stadium will be better designed.

  • First time at a game, more to come!

by thefaceofbeau on 6/4/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time at a DC United game; I brought my boyfriend along 'cause it was going to be his first time too, and we really enjoyed the game! Definitely planning on coming to more games in the future! It's a fun way to spend a weekday evening

  • Great Game

by GrumpySentinel on 5/17/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The game was great. No issues with the two teams or seeing anything. The seat location was great, but three of the four seats were broken and the front edge dipped forward on all three making them uncomfortable.

  • Live sports always a great atmosphere

by RedBullsFan on 5/17/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great atmomosphere and always enjoy watching some live soccer. The stadium is falling to pieces as DC is moving to a new location. Costs of food is crazy, as expected but access to stadium was easy and Ticketmaster tickets worked - simple with no problems. May have given 5 stars if NY won....

  • A soccer game at RFK

by Belgaboy on 5/11/16RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

A deserved win by New York. DC United has demonstrated once more its weaknesses in both defense and midfield, especially a lack of creativity and technical skills. For this reason, the forwards are deprived of good scoring opportunities. The passing in the midfield is not accurate enough and players lose a lot of balls in this area. Moreover, DC United midfield is too defense-oriented. With this kind of line-up, the team cannot have high expectations for this season.

Penalty kick was awesome. Got to see it close up!!
