About

Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

  • Cyndi was Amazing, the venue lacking

by QuigParker on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Wow…Cyndi and her band were absolutely incredible. Her voice is still amazing and her level of energy was over the top. She provided some very heartfelt vignettes, sounding close to tears at times. She was also comedic and playful; there was more to her show than experiencing the catalog of songs being performed. Separate from the show…the venue was inefficient and ill prepared to process the attendees. Starting in the parking lot, signage was confusing; we had purchased ultra parking but the only signage was for premier. The lot attendants were also confused/disorganized on how to differentiate passes. Gates reportedly opened at 6:30. We joined the very long line at 6:25. It took almost 90 minutes to get through. How can a venue this size have only a single security checkpoint with ONE person checking bags? ONE? This was our first concert here this year; we did not experience this sort of delay last year. If this has been our first experience at this venue, I will say we would not return. I’m hoping this was an “off” night and not normal for this venue.

  • Toyota Amphitheater needs to do better

by Ali on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 3 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper was great. A bucket list concert done! But, Toyota sucked. Big time. Took an hour and a half to enter. There were long delays at the ADA entry. Security didn't have a table for bags during search and questioned if I have pacemaker problems if they wand my chest. None of your business. And what were you looking for in my eyeglass case? Half the venue was closed off causing additional walking. We were misdirected to the chair rental area. Do better.

  • The Best... EVER!

    by JCT23 on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

My friend and I got lawn tickets for this show when Live Nation was having it's Summer Sale ($30/ticket for lawn tickets). We got to the venue about an hour before ticket start time and it took an hour to get in through the security checkpoint. It was another 20+ minutes to make it through the drink line. Safe to say we were pretty much OVER IT by the time we made it up to the lawn. Within not even 2-3 minutes of sitting down, a Live Nation employee came over and asked us how much we liked Cyndi Lauper. I motioned to our crazy 80's-themed outfits and said we LOVED her and were so stoked to be here for this, even if we were in the lawn. She asked if we wanted to move to the floor, and we couldn't believe what she was asking. My friend started grilling the employee wondering what the catch was - turns out there wasn't one! With less than 5 minutes to spare until show time, we hauled our butts down to the floor SCREAMING the entire time. We made it to our new seats just in time for Cyndi to come out and start the show. For the entire concert, my friend and I were singing, dancing, crying, and having the times of our LIVES. After the show was over, we sat there covered in confetti and streamers just trying to process what just happened to us. We showed up for a concert and we left with an EXPERIENCE. Cyndi's performance was stellar, her story-sharing felt so intimate and surreal, and being able to hear these songs that we grew up with LIVE was just a life-altering experience. BUCKET LIST ITEM: CHECK! If I could re-live this moment a million times, I would. (Minus the almost 2+ hour wait to get in & get drinks). 100/10, definitely recommend.

  • Cyndi was great, the venue had issues

by NiniJ on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Cyndi was great. She sounded amazing, still can rock it. She was engaged with the audience. The Toyota Amphitheater in Wheatland was a little off for this show. I have been to this venue many times and this was the first time that there has really been an issue. There was only one security line and the line to get it almost reached the highway road that lead to the venue. I would have thought that they would have been aware of the number of tickets sold to be prepared for this. Because of the line, we missed most of the opening act, despite being there long before the show was scheduled to start. Parking was great and efficient. My other complaint was that for the second show this season, I came away with multiple bites from little gnats (NOT mosquitos, I know the difference.) I realize that the venue cannot control some of these things but maybe some better pest control.

  • Bye Cyndi!

    by Tom S on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper was wonderful! This was my first time at this venue; getting in the door took longer than expected, and we missed most of the first act. This was my first time seeing Cyndi live - I am glad I got the opportunity before she stops touring forever. Bittersweet, but also happy.

  • Great Band!!

    by rx2gs on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi is a great performer, singer and storyteller. She has a great sense of humor. Her band was full of great musicians. Very tight rhythm section. I was surprised by the amount of rhythmic Latin, African and jazz influences that were used throughout the concert. Her “hits” were served up as tasty treats at the end of the concert.

Cyndi. Did not disappoint! I walked out in awe! A woman whom is as old as most grandma's. Was killing it! When she finished with "Girls just wanna"the crowd went nuts! I left grinning ear to ear!

  • Great Experience and Customer Service

by CarlaMCO on 8/25/25Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I went to see Cyndi Lauper at Rogers Arena and had such a great experience. At first, my seats were in a very hidden spot with poor visibility. But the Customer Service team noticed and kindly offered us tickets for a much better section. I was so impressed by their sensitivity and care, especially because we have two teenagers with us —it really turned the night into something unforgettable. Thank you for going above and beyond!

  • Expected more

by Cami on 8/24/25Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

While the concert was incredible in terms of sound, lighting, stage production, talent, and voice, having two opening acts felt unnecessary — in the end, the ones who enjoy them the most are the people in the front rows. In my section, people were constantly standing up throughout the concert to buy something or go to the bathroom (I assume), which was extremely distracting. The venue in the upper tiers was also freezing cold, and since I was seated near the stairs, I never experienced full darkness, which really took away from the atmosphere. On top of that, I was truly hoping for All Through the Night, a song included in the tour’s setlist — that was the biggest disappointment of the evening, along with the merchandise prices. This was my 80th concert and I wanted it to feel very special. I’m a Chilean living in Canada, and I even traveled from another province to see her. Many things could have been better. What I appreciated the most, however, was the treatment from the staff at the venue — they were magnificent at what they do and showed real commitment.

  • So good

by Danni on 8/23/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper was amazing. I loved her story telling between songs and she's really funny.

  • Not to good ~

by Sher on 8/23/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 2 out of 5

The show was exceptional!! Towards the end, maybe three songs left There was a teenager with her mom walking from their seats in the floor to get some air. Her daughter was very overheated and collapsed and begin throwing up. Please explain to me why it took three phone calls and 15 minutes later for the teenager to get help. A customer ran to the medic tent and told them what was happening, they said there were no calls received. I hope next time the amphitheater does better.

  • First rate from the Source, the Staging, the Songs

by Anandi on 8/23/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

What a generous offering of Cynde’s deep musical arc and her keen narrative of storytelling. This show was curated with such artistry and flow and her relatable connections via her band and also the audience. Everything about this venue was positive and all employees met or involved made it an easeful and delightful adventure. Thank you for it all

  • An Unexpected Fun Night!

by Band Fan on 8/23/25Ruoff Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

If you have the chance, like to have fun (guys just wanna have fun too!), and have an OPEN mind................GO! We had a blast! Jake Wesley Rogers was fantastic...with great boots! My wife had been listening to his music for the past few month so, I knew a "few"tunes. What a great kid! He deserves ALL the glory he is going to get. Then up was Cyndi Lauper. I have heard (and seen) her music since I was 13 years old back in '83. I can honestly say that this was probably 1 of the best nights of my life with my family. When Cyndi and Jake did their duo, it just mind-blowing fun! After that night, I can say that guys just wanna have fun too!

  • Girls just want to have fun

by Tj on 8/23/25Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - West Valley CityRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the concert. I loved the back ground stories and how songs came about. I also loved hearing more about her life. Shr talked too much for some people I was with.. out door concerts are always fun. Not happy with the prices of food and drinks since live nations took over. Maybe part of it is we are paying for all the up grades like the suites I will never sit in.

  • Fun, glam ,and tears

by CYellow on 8/22/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi was fantastic! Between the top notch music and vocals, the fabulous storytelling, and creative wardrobe changes there was also an tinge of nostalgia. Unforgettable night!
