About

Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

  • She forgot the people that made her famous.

by Dallas on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

Again She forgot the people that made her famous. It was nice to see her out there but she put all her effort into her artsy music and drug out the songs we came to see. Not to mention she catered to everyone but the 80s peeps that made her famous to begin with.

  • Lauper Rules...

by Concert Mom on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi was amazing on stage. The venue helped me with a problem with my seat and made it a great experince.

  • Cyndi was sensational, no gluten free, traffic rough

by Dee on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

Loved loved loved the concert! Truly spectacular! Wonderful venue! VERY friendly staff!!!! Nothing to eat that was gluten free (celiac disease) except popcorn, so bring your own food! We took a Lyft (smart), staying at airbnb 10 minutes up the road but took over an hour to get there afterward. Be aware so you don’t get crabby. Potty before departure!

  • Hit parade

    by Oregonian808 on 8/22/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi launched into a fantastic concert culminating a cadre of generations listening and enjoying it. Played all her great hits.

  • Dream come true

by Sher Bop on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

It was thrilling to finally get to see in concert one of my first musical loves. Cyndi and her opener Jake were both a delight to spend that time with. I'll be rewatching the event on YouTube and keeping the memory alive. I appreciated the authentic accepting compassionate alternative energy they both brought as artists with a platform of leadership. Thank you Cyndi for the love and sacrifices you've made to say farewell to so many of us who love you. And Jake I'm excited to watch your career flourish. You are meant to be a star shining brightly.

  • Cyndi still has it

    by Elise12345 on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 4 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper did not disappoint. Still has a great voice and great personality. The venue ruins it a bit because it is a nightmare to get in and out of White River Amphitheater in Auburn WA

  • Show amazing. Seats not so much

by Vrie on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 4 out of 5

The show and action center were amazing! Only issue was that the venue closed the lawn and randomly assigned seats. I choose lawn in order to not have to sit in a seat

  • PERFECT

by Joy on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

It’s was an awesome experience, reliving my younger years with such a one of a kind artist and amazing songs. And Thank you Live Nation for sponsoring our tickets. It was a Perfect Evening indeed.

  • Love Cindy Lauper, but…

by Roxie on 8/22/25White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 4 out of 5

We bought good seats (and they were great). However, we could not really “hear” her voice because the band was sooooo loud. There were a few times that I could barely tell what song it was since her voice was drowned out.

  • Iconic

    by pima32377 on 8/21/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper is an icon and the show she put on was phenomenal! Loved it!

  • Amazing!!

by DQueener on 8/21/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing. The only problem we had was when leaving they were directing traffic to get on the freeway. We missed our turn because one of the ladies directing traffic was throwing a fit and we notice another car needed to get over to go straight and they wouldn't let them. And having cones up made it kind of confusing.

  • Very entertaining

by Jb on 8/20/25Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - West Valley CityRating: 5 out of 5

Loved her life stories and she still moves and sounds great. Recommend seeing her!

  • Cyndi Lauper

by Amy on 8/20/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great! I really hate taking away our season lawn pass! Bring them back! Also, an "uograde"to seats from the lawn is not an upgrade. Let people be in the lawn.

  • A Cynful Time

by Cynful on 8/20/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent concert with great sound. She Bopped all over stage singing classics. Cyndi, Time after Time, never lets you down. She Shined All Through the Night. Cyndi showed her True Colors.

  • She's still fun

by Maria on 8/20/25Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre - West Valley CityRating: 5 out of 5

No one can go wrong with Cyndi Lauper. She's still amazing. Her voice has lost nothing. She's so fun and hearing the history of songs and times, she's incredible. I'd definitely go see her again

  • Too much talking

by Pam on 8/20/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 2 out of 5

Loved the costume changes and hair. Wished my two favorite songs weren’t pushed to thr end. Many people left due to her talking on and on about her career, politics, etc. Glad I went but wouldn’t go to another of her shows.

  • Fantastic Garewell

by Armyofadoremi on 8/20/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi put on one heck of a show. In a great mood and gave it her all.

  • Great concert after long warm-up

by LT on 8/20/25Cascades Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper and the band were fantastic and delivered a great show. My only 'but' is that I wish they would have taken the stage earlier and maybe played a little longer. The main act started about 1 hour and 40 minutes after the announced time, after two warm-up acts, which felt like a very long wait. Live nation could also simply have announced when they expected Cyndi Lauper to start as some concerts do (Springsteen, for instance). Otherwise, great experience.
