About

Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

  • What a Farewell concert!!

by Auntieamanda on 8/29/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Another concert and artist that I never thought that I would ever have the opportunity to see. I'm glad I got to see in person. I danced, sang and enjoyed the artistry that was/is Cyndi Lauper. Would recommend.

Such a fun time! Cyndi Lauper looked and sounded fabulous!! I would definitely recommend and would love to see her again!!

  • Great final concert for Cyndi Lauper

by Heidi on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic concert by the amazing Icon & legend Cyndi Lauper. Her band is fantastic. She don’t disappoint interjecting stories about her upbringing with her songs. Cyndi also wore amazing outfits from her fave designers. Cyndi sounded strong although she sounded slightly drowned out and maybe the mix needed adjusting. Grateful to see her at the iconic Shoreline Amphitheater.

  • Amazing performance…long slow lines.

by FE on 8/27/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper put on a spectacular artsy concert!!! My husband and I absolutely loved her performance. You can tell she is a genuinely good person. Love that! On the other matter of long slow lines…getting into the venue was the slowest entry process I have ever experienced. Then, standing in long lines to get very expensive cocktails was not fun, as not only did it consume so much time but we also missed the opener and the beginning of Cyndi Lauper’s show. I will shout out to the bartender…although the lines were long, the drinks you made sir were delicious!!! Thank you.

  • wonderful finale

by rrider on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Loved Cyndi Lauper's farewell concert for all the love and energy that she gave to us, although I wish her instrumentals didn't drown out her vocals at times. The warmup DJ (Tracy ?) was fabulous, too--I would really have enjoyed hearing more of her instead of the other warmup, Jake Wesley Rogers, who had a great beat but wasn't really my cup of tea.

  • So glad I didn’t miss this!

by Monica on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper is a treasure! She put on an amazing show and is every bit as fabulous as she was in the 80s!

  • Vivacious performer!

by Long live Cyndi! on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

What a fun and vivacious performer! I can only hope to be in the same physical and mental state of mind in my early 70's! Definitely a blast back to the past listening to Cyndi Lauper's songs!

  • Amazing Show!

by Bill From Morgan Hill on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

I was impressed by the depth of talent Ms. Lauper displayed in a wonderful show. I have known and loved her hits and perky, playful rebel persona since the 80s; but never really got to know much more about her music or her. The show was very entertaining and won my heart for this spirit from Queens. Having looked further into her music, I was delighted to find blues and standards as a part of her repertoire.

  • The sound was terrible-couldn't hear her voice

by lili on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 3 out of 5

I had great seats in the 10th row, the sound mix was terrible, I couldn't hear her voice, just instruments...frustrating

  • Started much later than we planned

by Justin K on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 3 out of 5

I get that artists have their own schedules, but even the opening act went on late and for a Sunday it meant we missed most of Cyndi Lauper.

  • Outstanding show!

by Dr. Dave on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Neither my wife or I had been to Shoreline in over two decades due to negative experiences individually our last time. (Mine was having to see a few seats down from a group of five ladies smoking clove cigarettes, and the staff ignored them. This time all went pretty well, despite wasting about 30 mins in line waiting to get into the VIP patio (time paid for and wasted). Cyndi and her opening act were solid and wonderful. KUDOS to both!

  • Cyndi Lauper

by Gunner on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 5 out of 5

Without exception Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

  • The Show was FANTASTIC, the parking was HORRIFIC

by Don on 8/27/25Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain ViewRating: 4 out of 5

First, Cyndi and Jake Wesley Rogers were exceptionally good. And the inside of the venue, with the exception of the food selection was lovely. Sad that picnicking/tailgating is gone from the parking areas. The parking, however was HORRIBLY handled but clearly inept staff. We paid for the “Ultra Parking” and were an HOUR from the freeway off ramp to our parking space, mostly sitting. This venue has been in place for over 20 years, you’d think by now they would have parking dialed in. It didn’t use to be a problem, slow yes, but this was UNBELIEVABLE.

  • Wanted to Just Have Fun & I Did!

    by Jeanene B on 8/27/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Being a child of the 80s, I grew up loving Cyndi Lauper's music & knew I couldn't miss her farewell tour! She totally didn't disappoint!

  • These girls had fun

by Irish on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was fun. Ms. Lauper was kind, full of fun, and appreciated her fans. The venue, Toyota Amphitheater, could do a much better job at the gate. The line wrapped around the amphitheater. There was no signage that if you had no bag then there was a separate entry. We waited one and half hours to get to security where they had on young man slowly checking bags. It was not until about 8:15 when they finally had a guy yelling for those with no or clear bags. Completely missed the opening acts and got to our seats five minutes before Ms. Lauper took the stage.

  • Cyndi Lauper was AMAZING

by Boo Annie on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Opening act was terrible, food and beverage prices are comparable to Vegas.. RIDICULOUSLY OUTRAGEOUS!! Cyndi Lauper was truly AMAZING.

  • Inspiring!

by NinjaSkierrrr on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi gave an emotional, heartfelt and inspiring concert. Loved her energy, her stories and her personal connection. Oh yeah...and her MUSIC! She's an icon and I felt priviledged to be present with her many fans.

  • Thought we would never get it

by AMG on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 3 out of 5

We arrived an hour early and I have been to this venue many times. The line to get in went all the way to the street and it took 90 minutes to get in. Very disappointing on how show was understaffed and we didn't get to enjoy the opening act, getting food and just enjoying the venue. The show was amazing - it would would have been nice if Live Nation would have prioritize all that paid to see the show and have the experience versus prioritizing their bottom line. Generally you would have all the assigned staff and then let people leave based on need and not the other way around. Tell them not to come to work and then scramble to call them in.

  • My daughter & I had a blast!

    by Jean A on 8/26/25Toyota Amphitheatre - WheatlandRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi gave the audience an excellent show. She can still hit all of the notes. We loved her story telling she made the evening fun and we now feel like we know her personally. She is a great performer. We loved the concert & were so happy that we were able to be a part of her farewell tour.
