Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

i wasn't the greatest fan of cyndi lauper's but could not believe how strong her performance was and how engaged with the audience she was...
Awesome show! Cyndi was in top form, and her set was full of surprises. She chose a great mix of hits and non-hits, touching on almost every album (except MERRY CHRISTMAS, SHINE, and AT LAST). Plus she did a number of cool odds and ends. For example, she did "Hole in my Heart" from VIBES and covered Joni Mitchell's “Carey” the same way she performed it on a television tribute in the early 2000s. Most amazing of all is that she did THREE Blue Angel songs, two of which were hardly obvious choices even though they’re great songs. Cyndi got down into the crowd like she usually does, and she seemed to be having a good time. It would have been nice to hear more than one song off her latest album, BRING YA TO THE BRINK ("Echo" and "Rain on Me" would have been perfect). But she more than made up for any omissions-- in fact, I counted five songs I'd never heard live.
Truly an amazing performance. She performed all the hits and pulled out a couple of rarities as well. The performance lasted over two hours with no intermission and 2 encores. Definitely the best concernt I've seen in a long time.
Cyndi as always put on a amazing show and has not lost a beat to outstanding voice and warmth to the croud of the Miller stage!
The show could have gone on for another hour or two. The energy and love in the air was beyond anything that can be put into words for the show. One of the most wonderful shows we have been to. Cyndi is beyond words. If you can get the chance to see her do so.
Lauper played for over 2 hours. She ventured into the crowd at least 5-6 times. She played ALL her hits.
I'm so glad that I made the trip to Milwaukee to see Cyndi Lauper! Her voice was amazing and she had so much energy. What a performer! She gave the crowd 110% all night. She sang for a long time and made sure to include all her older hits. Best concert I've been to in a while!
Cyndi Lauper came out, and from then to the end, she tempted the crowd with her charm, and won us all over! She was in Milwaukee for LGBT Pride Fest 2009. She didn't disappoint. Even coming into the audience like 5 times. What an awesome venue! Loves her!!! TY Cyndi! Chad Linden Green Bay, Wi.
While i always liked Cyndi, I had no idea how talented she was. her voice is incredible! Her entertainment style was also amazing; she took the time to acknowledge the crowd, go down into the crowd, and make them feel special. She is wonderful!
After 5 long (and 4 bad) warm up acts (including a midget Brittney Spears) Cyndi Lauper finally took the stage about 21/2 hours into her show. Though she had lots of energy she couldn't be heard for most of the show above her band who were badly over amp'd. I believe she was aware of the problem and she often became distracted, stopping singing to argue with the soundmen at the side of the stage. She rtepeatedly lost her place and even dropped her wireless apparatus several times. Not her most polished performance by any means and after paying $350.00 plus for my four tickets, I felt robbed.
Well as usual Cyndi Lauper did not disappoint. She opened the concert dressed in a tight white outfit with pants and a long sleeve shirt each covered with jewels. She was also wearing a feathery face mask that did not cover her face, but was light blue and probably a foot and a half tall. She still has the same energy she did in the 80's and she dances and sings just as well. She sang a lot of her top hits and some I had not heard before...including songs from her Bring It to the Brink CD that was released a few months ago. The energy she projects while singing is amazing and you can tell every song means a lot to her and she sings all of them with true feeling. She was on par as well with walking into the audience and singing. I saw her at the Northern Lights Theatre at Potawatomi back in 2006 and she did the same thing. She actually sang Goonies 'R' Good Enough right next to me which was AWESOME! She even held onto me to help keep her balance because she was standing on the metal bench that no one was sitting on because everyone was standing up as soon as she came on stage. This is only the second time I have seen her in concert and I loved both performances. I had 2nd row seats this time and the show was just amazing and she played for over an hour and a half. The band was great that she played with as well. She did have mic problems all night and you could tell she was getting upset, but she handled it very well.
Cyndi was onstage for about two hours and simply amazing!!!! If you're not a fan, she will definitely make you leave the concert with a better appreciation for her and her music. This is one of the best concerts I have seen.
