CROWDER IN CONCERT:

When it comes to fun and worshipful concert experiences, few acts come close to the inspiring live shows of alternative Christian rock favorite Crowder. David Crowder has been treating audiences to his spiritual blend of indie, bluegrass, folk, and electronica for nearly two decades, and his ability to move audiences through music and prayer reflects his abundance of experience as a performer. Whether he's playing favorites from his days with the David Crowder Band or lifting spirits high with cuts from his chart-topping 2014 album Neon Steeple, Crowder always leaves audiences in awe on his unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Texas-born David Crowder got his start as a musician with the church, undertaking music ministry duties while attending university in the '90s. Crowder formed a worship band and began performing in an effort to attract more college students to services, and before long the David Crowder Band had landed a deal with SixStep Records. Their 2002 debut album Can You Hear Us? peaked at No. 17 on the US Christian Albums chart, establishing them as a vibrant new force within the Christian rock community. Crowder went on to release five more albums with the band, topping the Christian charts three times and achieving crossover success with albums like 2012's Give Us Rest -- a No. 2 hit on the Billboard 200. After the group disbanded in 2012 Crowder ventured on as a solo act, topping the charts once again in 2014 with his solo debut Neon Steeple. A humble and inspiring performer, Crowder continues to move concertgoers on his critically acclaimed tours. Over the course of his career, Crowder has played venues such as the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix, and Madison Square Garden in NYC.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

Crowder wasted no time with intros. From start to finish it was non-stop stomping and excitement, song after song. All his music is moving. He has a very talented crew aswell.

I couldn't believe how incredible this was. I've never seen so many instruments on stage without an orchestra. Crowder is so talented! Took us to church and if you get the chance to go see them, Run!!

  • Crowder was awesome, everything else, not so much

by JandKReviews on 3/18/18Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 2 out of 5

We stood in line waiting to get inside for an hour. Then we stood for the next three hours. The opening band was ok. What was awful was the guy in between the opener and Crowder. He spent 45 minutes telling us about kids in Africa who need sponsors and how he wasn't going to ask anyone to sponsor them. For the next half hour all he did was ask people to sponsor them. I understand they need help, I myself have sponsored kids in such a way, but don't lie to us like that and make us stand there for an hour when we paid to hear a musician. That being said, Crowder was amazing! I wish it would have been just him all night.

  • Crowder rocks the Newport!

by Vhfamily on 3/18/18Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

David Crowder and his band did not disappoint! The place was packed with God loving people and Crowder sang his heart out. He has a fantastic way of slowing it down with songs like Back to the Garden and Come as You Are and bringing you closer to our Lord with arms wide open, then turns it up and gets the crowd bouncing with his rock-out song like Prove It and Shouting Grounds. I loved the way he changed the set line up right in the middle of the show for a young girl who was attending her first concert! "Come as you are' was her favorite and he stopped and changed their song right on the spot. Funny how God works. He nailed it. I'm an old rocker with a love for our Lord and Crowder is a fantastic mix for my love of God and love of music! Keep it going Crowder!

  • Crowder and Crew Croon

by mamalotzaluv on 3/5/18The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

Great show on a blustery night. Crowder and crew rocked the city of Reading, PA. as a Nor'easter clobbered the Northeast. The group was loud and rocked the beautiful theatre in Reading. I'm a fan of Crowder's low key sounds. I LOVE "All My Hope Is in Jesus" and my husband didn't know who "Crowder" was. However, he loves the Allman Bros. and he was lovin' the band's rock sound. It was a great mix of Southern rock and Blue Grass bringing glory to our God! I would go again in a heartbeat. Ended the night with "Because He Lives" and it was the same day as Billy Graham's funeral where they had sung that same hymn. It was a praiseworthy day for me!

  • Lost... in the snow

by Morwena on 3/5/18The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 1 out of 5

Really was looking forward to seeing Crowder in Reading! Unfortunately, was not able to make it due to the weather. We even tried and had to turn around because traffic was at a standstill. It totally would have been worth he two and a half hour drive to get there. Hoping that there will be more dates for Crowder to come back into the area in 2018! He has a great fan base here!

  • Crowder was great, kid friendly for sure

by PAMikeA on 3/5/18The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

This was my kids' (6 and 10) first concert. Crowder interacted so well with the crowd. The Venue was small and intimate, perfect for music lovers. Parking was tough, until I found the parking deck (cash only), not an issue moving forward.

  • Best Christian "Rock" Concert Ever!

by RonTrish on 3/5/18The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

Mr. Crowder is an amazing artist and a very skilled musician. The array of instruments used during the concert was fascinating and made for a very enjoyable sound. The entire show was very entertaining and he really was engaged with the audience. The after show meet and greet with photo opportunity was really fun and well organized. Mr. Crowder took the time to warmly welcome us and made us feel appreciated as a fan. He signed my [vinyl] album cover of American Prodigal! Praise God for such an amazing artist and Christian! His words are uplifting and remind us of the work we need to do as evangelists in today's secular bent culture.

  • Great show

This was my fourth time seeing Crowder. This time I opted for the VIP meet and greet with Crowder. I highly recommend it to any true fan of his. He was simply wonderful to everyone in attendance!

  • Crowder is Awesome!

by Brutus81 on 3/5/18The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, Crowder play all kinds of music. He doesn't need the fancy light shows, lasers, or digital displays. Its all about the music, he even has the words to all his songs up for anyone to sing along with. Recommended for everyone, very Family friendly. The venue, is quaint, reminded me of the old time theaters.
