About

Crankdat is a DJ and bass music producer from Youngstown, Ohio. While in high school, the artist (born Christian Smith) turned down a full-ride track-and-field college scholarship to pursue his music career. After gaining notoriety for his remix of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” in 2015, he began putting his mark on songs for other big names like Swedish House Mafia (“Save The World”), Skrillex (“Weekends”), The Chainsmokers (“Closer”), The Black Eyed Peas (“Rock That Body”) and more. Since 2016, Crankdat has released a steady stream of singles, and his first extended play, Gearworld Volume 1, arrived in 2019 followed quickly by a second titled Fearworld. Two more EPs — 2020’s Mechanised Mayhem and 2021’s Sad Robot — as well as dozens more singles, remixes and “Re-Cranks” have followed. In 2024, Crankdat will embark on his Total Termination Tour across North America.

I loved every bit of the show,, sounded great. This is my favorite venue for a reason. If you're thinking about going to a show here... just do it!

  • Show was amazing except one thing…

by Shae on 10/14/25Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the artist. The openers were great. What was a shot show was the venue not allowing flow toys into show. Flow and EDM go hand and hand and with the venue turning people away to not be able to bring in their toys that absolutely aren’t hurting anyone, they just turn community into just another concert instead and that’s really lame. BILL GRAHAM, DO better. But the set list was great otherwise. If this happens again, I know a lot of people who will just go to other venues instead

  • New rave baby

I’m not a big raver, I had only been to a few before and it was never really my thing. Crankdat was so so fun and his live mixes were great. I now want to go to way more raves. I don’t do drugs and I wasn’t even that tipsy and still had such a fun time.

  • CRANKDAT @ Echostage DC

    by LoganS1211 on 4/28/25Echostage - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Entire lineup was fantastic, production was insane, and the crowd was rowdy, but energetic. Only downside here is $25 for a Vodka Ghost (no Red Bull available). Still, I’m looking forward to seeing CRANKDAT again and more events at Echostage
