Above & Beyond on Tour
Above & Beyond, or Jono, Tony and Paavo as they are better known to their legions of fans around the world, have been at the forefront of electronic dance music for two decades.
Founders of the iconic Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep record labels and hosts of a weekly radio show, that reaches millions of dance lovers every Friday (Group Therapy), the trio have earned two GRAMMY™️nominations for anthems 'Northern Soul' feat. Richard Bedford and We're All We Need feat. Zoë Johnston. In 2018, the band's fourth electronic album, Common Ground, debuted at number three on the Official Billboard Album Chart.
Described by UK music bible Q Magazine as "the world's biggest cult band", Above & Beyond's enviable list of sold out shows includes headline performances at historic venues like Madison Square Garden NYC, The Hollywood Bowl, The Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall London, Red Rocks Amphitheater and record-breaking turnouts for their own festival events on LA's Huntington Beach and at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State.
Songwriters first, producers second, Above & Beyond's unwavering commitment to their craft has fuelled a career that many electronic artists today might only dream of: four acclaimed studio albums, 14 compilation albums, two ‘acoustic' albums and a stand-alone album for yoga and meditation - not to mention innumerable club cuts and dance remixes.
In 2020, the band will release their third ‘Acoustic' album on Anjunabeats which will be supported by a tour of iconic music halls in the UK, USA, and Canada.

I’ve seen them live 89 times, I’ve never been disappointed. It’s not a concert, it’s a musical journey that is life changing. From start to finish you will dance and at some point during every show, you’re going to cry. Don’t feel weird about it, it happens to all of us. Anjuna Family (the crowd) are the kindest and most respectful crowd you’ll ever experience. Talk to people around you, your future best friends are in that crowd. Enjoy the Group Therapy!
This has nothing to do with the group itself but more with the way it was promoted. We wanted to see Above & Beyond, not the other groups that came on before. Next time it would be nice if you list who all is going to play and what the estimated time for the actual artist is scheduled to play.
The tickets said the show started at 1, but they didn’t actually go on until 6:30pm. As a result, I didn’t even get to see them perform bc I cannot leave my 10 week old puppy for 9+ hours. The venue should be up front about what time the headlining group actually performs. I’ve never been to any concert when this has ever been the case—really disappointed since this is my favorite EDM group and I’ve never seen them live. Doubt I’ll buy any tickets for this venue again.
Event started at 1pm but they didn’t come on until around 630pm. It was a lot of waiting around. Too much smoking, too crowded, and didn’t like the venue set up. Pool was nowhere near the stage. Felt more like a festival/concert. Came on a friend’s recommendation but I didn’t like the trance style music. My friend enjoyed it though, and didn’t mind the smoke. So that’s why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
I knew Above & Beyond would not disappoint. The opening djs were great too! I am a very big fan of trance EDM and couldnt have asked for a cooler environment to see amazing DJs!
Very disappointed! Supposed to be a day thing but the headliner didn’t go on till almost dark and was not that great. Ive been to way better.
I loved the show! The venue was amazing. There were three pools and even a jacuzzi and tons of space in front of the stage to accommodate everyone comfortably. The music had me on my feet and I could not stop dancing the whole time I was there. The bathrooms were clean and surprisingly there was never a line for the girls bathroom. The event was so organized and I have never been to an event that was executed so flawlessly. I will be back again!
Echostage is always an amazing place to visit for NYE. The scene was set for it to be an epic night of partying, where I expected confetti after going to multiple NYE events in the past there. This time, there were balloons hanging in nets from the ceiling. After making my way in early in the night to see Sunryse open and then Kasablanca throw down, it was time for the main act. This is where we ran into some issues that had non PLUR people show up. Literally torwards the front of the stage where Above & Beyond were set to play, a ruckus occurred with multiple people fighting and grappling each other. Thankfully, security was able to remove the bad actors so we could enjoy the night and the music. The only other disappointment was that the balloons didn't drop properly. In the end, both Above & Beyond and Andrew Bayer played amazing sets to ring in 2023.
3 items to point out- 1) only 2 of the 3 members were present. Concert goers should be alerted when a complete act will not be present. 2) the venue, Echostage was packed beyond reasonable.this left attendees standing in one place with no ability to move or get a break. 3) the performance had breaks at the end of each composition, unlike other artists who bridge different songs without a break or noticing the change.
