About

Named Comedian of the Year by the American Comedy Awards on ABC, Craig Shoemaker's half-hour Comedy Central special has been voted by viewers as one of the network's "Top 20" stand-up specials of all time.

Craig's feature film credits include the box office hit Scream 2, co-starring opposite Patrick Stewart in Safe House and his featured role opposite Daryl Hannah as her love interest in 2007's Dark Honeymoon. Last year, Craig won Best Supporting Actor at the Elevate Film Festival. His own film The Lovemaster (with Farrah Fawcett), won "Best Film" honors at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.

Additionally, Craig has had his own nationally syndicated radio show, which after only ten months on the air, won the prestigious Communicator Award "Crystal" prize. Two of Craig's stand-up comedy routines made it to the Top 10 list on XM Radio, with "Playing Army" ranking #1. His "Lovemaster" routine was voted Most Popular Comedy on XM Radio's Big Schtick Awards.

the lovemaster is in hiz house!

by chris92129 on 8/22/10Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Hilarious as usual. Sat front row, but forgot about when he goes into the crowd asking (forcing) the men to make the machine gun noise they made as a kid while playing war. Was praying he wouldn't pick me; fortunately he picked the other guy sitting at our table... Word of caution for anyone seeing a show at the Balboa Theatre: there is some serious AC being pumped out from under the stage. If you sit in the front row (at the tables), make sure you like it cold or bring a jacket. BRRR!!!

    Best Comedy Show I've Seen

by MC619 on 8/22/10Balboa Theatre - San Diego

When this show was announced, the only thing I knew about Craig Shoemaker was that he used to be on the Howard Stern show sometimes. Figured I'd roll the dice and buy a couple of tickets, since they were fairly cheap ($22.50 face value for the front row). I'm so glad I did. Not only is Craig absolutely hilarious - I literally had tears in my eyes - he also performed for more than two hours straight, with no break. This guy is worth every penny, and I absolutely recommend his show to anyone, especially those who have not seen him before.

This show was fantastic. It was funny from beginning to end. I never laughed so hard for so long. It was never dull. Great, great show. Making fun of the men up front with their machine gun impressions, the references of things for the 20yr old to look up because they were before her time, all so witty. There were so many funny, funny skits, thoroughly enjoyed the entire show. I took my parents to see this for my Father's birthday and we all had such a memorable time, one that we will never forget. Thank you Craig for a fantastic night out.

    Would see again!

by Nalabud on 7/3/10Mohegan Sun Cabaret - Uncasville

This was our first time seeing Craig. When we received the tickets (as a gift), I made the decision to not look him up or watch any of his on-line videos. I wanted all of his material to be fresh when we saw him. My husband & I were not disappointed! As frequent visitors of comedy clubs, Craig put on an excellent show & had us laughing from beginning to end. I would most definitely recommend others to attend a showing. I, personally, enjoyed his "reliving the past" most of all. It's amazing how many young people today don't even know about the simple things from the "not so distant past"! Of course, The Love Master, well.....that speaks for itself! Good material!

    Great Venue!

by jrrog on 3/8/10Showcase Live - Foxboro

First time I've been to this venue, only problem was that a couple of times during the performance there were extraneous noises coming from the PA that distracted the performers. Craig put on a great show, a time-machine mix of familiar material with the new. Barney Fife and the Lovemaster, his best character, were well represented, and to explore comedy where "Whitey" couldn't go he channeled Chris Rock quite well for more outrageous vignettes. Craig finished up with his great audience participation schtik, Playing Army which is guaranteed to give you stitches as male audience members relive their childhood days at play mimicing machine guns, most often with poor results, especially while convulsing in helpless laughter. Craig was very personable after the show with autographs for his materials being sold in the lobby and to meet and greet fans, and handing out contact information for his facebook pages, website, and other modes of connection. We traveled 150 miles round-trip from New Hampshire and it was well worth it.

There's no one funnier than Craig Shoemaker!

by djembaby on 3/5/10Showcase Live - Foxboro

This was the most fun I've had on a night out in a long time! Start to finish, this is the most amazing comedy show. Craig takes the stage and immediately starts the side splitting (and I am still sore today). Whoa...Love Master! That, of course, is his most well known bit, but the entire lengthy show was a riot. This guy does not disappoint! We'll plan to catch him every time he's in town.

    Hilarious

    by Captain3541 on 3/5/10Showcase Live - Foxboro

Craig is one of the giants in the comedy industry. His act is ever changing with fresh new material. I have seen him four times now live and this last show was absolutely his best.

Introduced girlfriend, her sister and brother in law to the antics of Craig and they loved the show. Two hours of non stop laughing. Can't wait to see him again.

    Craig Shoemaker/Brett Butler

by Dragon35 on 7/21/09Newport Yachting Center - Newport

Craig put on a hilarious show. Laughed my ass off, especially at his "Lovemaster" routine. Definitely will see his next show. Brett, not so much.

    Yes...and no...

by Undergrounds on 7/20/09Newport Yachting Center - Newport

Craig Shoemaker was just terrific. He held the audience in the palm of his hand for about an hour and a half. I've been a fan of his for almost ten years and he has never been as good as he was at this performance. He's re-honed a lot of his signature material but has expanded his repetoir extensively. He is a terrific comedian. Brett Butler however, who opened for him was close to awful. She failed to win the audience over. Her material was all worn out and mildly amusing at best. She got a few laughs but it was embarassing to the audience how poorly she was doing.

    Craig Shoemaker/Brett Butler Must See

by Jenni95 on 7/20/09Newport Yachting Center - Newport

We saw Craig Shoemaker and Brett Butler at the Newport Yachting Center, Newport, RI last night. What a GREAT show. Brett Butler opened and was on for about 30 Minutes. What a great way to start the show. Craig Shoemaker was on immediately following and was hysterically funny! At one point I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face! As he said - we all need to laugh more - and he provided exactly that! Much fun and laughter! I would definately go to see either of them again and will keep my fingers crossed that he comes back to Newport next year!!!

    Craig Shoemaker is the funniest!

by Swandiver on 7/20/09Newport Yachting Center - Newport

It was the tirst time I had seen either comedian and I was very impressed with Craig. He had us all laughing from beginning to end. Brett, on the other hand, was a dissppointment. She was very confusing -- going off in three different directions at the same time. She wasn't very funny. I loved watching -- Grace Under Fire -- and thought she was the head-liner of the duo. I was mistaken and relieved.

Craig just keeps getting better and better!

by LuvToLaugh on 7/20/09Wilbur Theatre - Boston

We became familiar with Craig Shoemaker while living in SoCal several years ago. We saw him a few times and loved his routine (altho it was a bit repetitive). This show was hillarious! I can honestly say I had a side-aches from laughing so hard during Craig's almost TWO HOURs on stage. He throws in a little of the LoveMaster stuff for old times -- but the rest of his material is funnier, IMO. He is quick on his feet and does a small bit of interactive with the audience that was a real HOOT. If you want to relax and enjoy a couple fun hours - go to this show! I also liked Brett Butler a great deal - altho her portion was pretty short. She seemed a bit nervous - perhaps just returning to her act. GO TO THIS SHOW!

    Brett Butler/Craig Shoemaker

by craigfave on 7/20/09Newport Yachting Center - Newport

Forgot how funny Brett Butler can be; enjoyed her immensely. Craig Shoemake is a hoot! He had tears rolling down my face. It felt so good to simply laugh outloud a lot. He certainly is one of my most favorite commedians. First heard him on Sirius Radio; try to catch him whenever they play one of his routines. Wish they played him more. Thanks for a fun-filled evening.

    Craig Shoemaker was hysterical!

by Rileyboy on 7/20/09Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Craig Shoemaker's show was unbelievable! I haven't laughed so hard in years!!! It was quite the break needed during this very trying economic time. Craig asked the audience if we needed to be anywhere because he ran late. After we all declined he kept the showing going and kept us laughing our butts off! GREAT show, highly recommended and can't wait for him to come back into town! I feel bad saying this but Brett Butler and the guy before her were just ok.
