A Rollicking, fun, and inspirational story and sensational musical. Especially, in our current trying times, that so many different people from around the world, unexpectedly came together in Gander, Newfoundland for 5 days when hate and terrorism stuck on 9/11. It's a testament to a small town's generosity displayed to the entire world. A feel good show that deserved to win the Tony's Best Musical award in 2017.
It was such an Amazing Play/ Musical! The Talent was Outstanding! Their Voices were Sheer Magic to my ears! I wish my Mother (deceased ) could have seen this show as she was born and raised in Gander. I still have Uncles who live in NfLND and they said that this Musical has not been there, which is surprising because this is where it all began! The only complaint I have is that my seat (Q8)at the Caddilac theater was not comfortable, I had to sit slightly forward to overlook the bar that was in front of my seat. I did look at the view on the computer and it seemed ok, but Live and learn I won’t be sitting there ever again There was
I truly lucked out having received tickets to see Come From Away from a friend who was unable to attend. The show was incredible! Wonderful cast and a compelling, amazing story! Highly recommend seeing it!
Come From Away is a new favorite! In an hour forty minutes we laughed, cried, and cheered for the people of Gander and their 7000 new friends. The musical brought back some those feeling of 9/11 but showed the goodness of people. The music was none stop! The music was intricate yet easy to follow within the storyline. The actors were excellent musically as well as being able to be versatile within their many roles. We were amazed by the choreography and how seamlessly they changed scenes and characters. There was always something going on! I loved the band/orchestra being on stage and taking center stage at the end. The Cadillac Theater is a perfect venue to see this musical. There is not a bad seat in the house!
The music, accompanying musicians and of course all of the actors were so very clear and the sound was spot on. I had a fabulous experience!
Excellent and highly entertaining show. For such a complicated subject as September 11th and its aftermath and the impact on a small town in Canada, it was amazing how effectively the story was told and how quickly transitions occurred. Despite being based on one of the most tragic events in U.S. and North American history, the show was very uplifting and often times humorous. The music was highly entertaining and really helped tell the story. I have never seen a crowd respond so favorably to a play, including Hamilton. Great job to all!
"Come From Away" is an awesome experience. You laugh and cry! We went with a group of retired airline employees and we are still talking about the show. (Cadillac Palace needs to open the bar and reinstate intermission!)
Saw this show in New York City and loved it. Was not sure what to expect here in Chicago as many times we get watered down productions and secondary casts. Neither could be further from the truth in this show. The cast was superb and quite energetic with great voices. Same set used in a New York City production complete with turntable. Not sure why it is staying for such a short period or I would see it again.
The actors did a great job with a minimalist set, each portraying different charecters in a way that was easy to follow and enjoy. Great music, and a very positive and uplifting show. It made me feel good.
It was a fabulous performance. It was funny and touching. The actors were great-they were very believable in their roles. It kept our attention the entire time. I highly recommend this play for everyone.
Such an excellent experience! The actors/actresses were superb. The singing and choreography was spot on! This is why I love the theatre! I enjoyed it so much that I saw it twice within a week. It’s a must see for everyone who loves great acting and musical theatre.
This play is fantastic! It has everything. The staging, cast, music, humor, tears, hope and humanity combine in the best way possible. We need live theater and a reminder of humanity in the face of tragedy especially in this time. If you get a chance see this production! It should be required of every human as a reminder we are all in this together.
Excellent performing. Nicely constructed play. Superb choreography. Nice use of set and lighting. The sound sucked. We had trouble understanding most of the song lyrics and some of the dialogue (especially from female performers). And we had good seats — row H center. For this reason, I probably won’t return to the Cadillac Palace theater.

My Ticketmaster App wouldn't allow me to access my account and show my tickets. Fortunately, the box office wasn't busy and the staff was very helpful in following the paper receipt with seat numbers that I had taken with as a precaution. I uninstalled my Ticketmaster App the next day and reinstalled so now I see my account and other tickets that I had purchased for another event. We loved Come From Away. Phenomenal script, acting and production. Congratulations to all the crew and actors!!!!
The selflessness of the Newfoundland people was amazing. Now I would LOVE to visit there!
I laughed, I got teary-eyed, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this fabulous production. Excellent cast, great music, heartfelt story. Stay to the end to see/hear the really fun musicians play rousing music. Recommend for all who enjoy musicals, as I do.
Everything about the show was great. The music, the singing, the story. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
One of the best shows ever and I have seen a lot. Cast was incredible; however, if Jenn Colella had stepped in, I would not be disappointed. Truly wonderful and wish it were a longer run.
The show was definitely worth the aggravation of having to buy a smartphone to get in. I had seen the show once before, but it was a first for my husband. He was enthralled from the opening moment. The performance was flawless! The staging was creative. And the story is so inspiring. The fact that it is a true story, albeit stylized, gives true hope for humanity. We would definitely go see Come from Away again.
