Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

    Even better than I expected.

Even though I knew before seeing it that this play was based on actual events, it still managed to restore a little of my faith in humanity.

Outstanding touring production of a great show

    by M. G. on 3/7/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Come From Away is an excellent and moving show. This touring production was outstanding. I saw the original on Broadway, this was just as good. I've never seen an audience leap to its feet on the final note of the music like this before, so my impression was apparently pretty unanimous. Everyone needs to see this show!

I loved this musical so much. It was such an inspiring show about people coming together during tragedy and the unknown. It was a story I had not known about 9/11. Everyone should see this. I laughed and I cried and I cheered.

    Exhilarating!

by Chris on 3/7/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Great Performances/Exhilarating Music! I chose this Because My Mother and her 9 siblings grew up in Gander and I grew up listening to her Newfoundland Music! I was a little surprised that I didn’t recognize the songs from the Musical as My Mother played a lot of Dick Nolan records. Guess I was expecting to hear some of his music at this Musical. Our Seats Q6,”8 & 10 were not the best but all I could afford. When I ordered them online I saw the view which looked acceptable But, there was a bar in front of Q 6&8 which obstructed our view, I had to sit upright and lean forward a bit to see the stage, which was sort of uncomfortable. But all in all the Musical was upbeat and the storyline was great! My friends Liked it too! It’s too bad I didn’t know about this Play/ Musical when My Mother was alive, she would have loved it too despite the absence of Dick Nolan songs she grew up with. I am also a bit surprised that this Musical has yet to come to Where this play derived from, Gander Newfoundland (at least that is what my uncle told me) because They would sure Love to see it!

A show that will stay in your heart forever! If I had to narrow it down to one phrase-generosity of the heart, truly a story about humanity.

This was our 3rd time seeing the show in Chicago-we also saw it once on Broadway in 2019, and have viewed it several times on Apple TV+. This is an absolutely wonderful show.

    Uplifting celebration of human kindness

by Rayne on 3/6/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This musical blended the small beautiful moments beneath the umbrella of tragedy. Wonderfully timed comedy to counterbalance against the seriousness of the topic. The vocals were as powerful as the lyrics.

The show was great! It's hard to believe that the small cast was responsible for so many characters. The ingenious use of costumes and props made the transition between characters very smooth. Hats off to the cast for keeping all of their roles straight.

by Lana on 3/5/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

From the moment Come From Away took off I was mesmerized. The heartwarming stories, the singing, the smiles and tears produced by these actors shared every emotion humanly possible. This is one of the best plays I have ever attended and I wholeheartedly recommend seeing this especially if you are interested of the stories of 9/11. Thank you to crew and actors for a memorable afternoon.

    What a marvelous experience!

by Joy on 3/5/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

We loved the play. I can't believe the talents of the cast--singing, dancing and different accents. So good! Of course I remembered that many flights had to be diverted to Newfoundland on 9/11 but didn't know all the details. What an inspiring story and a enjoyable play for one of our first post-Covid outings. I highly recommend this to everyone.

    Humanity lives

by Hockey Mom on 3/5/22Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I heard the story and wanted to see it pre-Covid and missed it. My husband was indifferent. A fabulous story about amazing people. There’s a line in the show where Kevin says if they had come to our country he’s not sure they would’ve gotten the same treatment - it’s probably true but sad. I guess the best way to sum it up is my husband in his sarcastic self said I’m glad I dragged you to the show!!!!
