About

For over four decades, the Cognizant Classic has been a mainstay on the PGA TOUR calendar and within the South Florida community. One of the world’s elite destinations takes center stage every February to showcase luxurious hospitality and a lively social scene amongst a best-in-class sports experience at PGA National Resort & Spa. While the Cognizant Classic highlights the elegance of Palm Beach County, the tournament remains a champion of philanthropy within the community as it impacts the lives of more than 100,000 children annually across more than 50 nonprofit organizations.

  • If you love golf, go

by Bob on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

Only a couple times a year do we in South Florida get to see the best golfers in the world, and this is one of them. Often (but maybe not often enough), you can be within a few feet of them, hearing them talk strategy with caddies and watching them execute shots. It's a beautiful golf course, whether you are walking its entirety with a player group or sitting in the stands. Possible improvements: Lower food and drink prices (they exceed even a sports arena). Closer access to players and greens (which is sometimes puzzlingly far). More discipline for the loud drunks in the stands.

  • Excellent experience

Enjoyed my day, especially veterans outpost. Everybody was very helpful and friendly.

  • Good Event/Parking Atrocious

by Romeo Allegro on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Been to this event 4 times, always enjoy the smaller crowds and the Bear Trap facility. Unfortunately the parking is so poorly handled that I will probably skip this event in the future. The address the PGA provides is wrong, it's a bus only entrance. Sat in traffic for 30 min only to be turned around and then found a small sign for parking with poor explanation it was for people who pre-purchased the tickets. Went to the bus only to be turned around as my wife had to return her very small purse to the car. I rechecked the email PGA sent me about the event and no where did it say you can't bring in a small purse. Whoever handles logistics has a lot to learn. So by the time we got to the event, we were an hour late meeting our friends and so frustrated that we entered the event in a bad mood.

  • PGA National Cognizant Tournament

by TT on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

The ride share set up was horrendous this year. Dropped you off in another town practically!! Terrible experience and parking needs to be improved. Weather was great. Food was sub par… crowds seemed to be way off and down

  • It was agreat day!!!!

by MIMM on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

You could not aask for a more relaxing and enjoyable day!!!!

  • Nice place nice course

by Perico on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

The bear trap is sensational, but on hole 17 there is no access to see the green up close, it is only possible from the stands; there should be access for those who buy a ground ticket.

  • Parking and wine

by BECK on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

The golf was great and service was excellent. Don't like the new general parking and please add pinot grigio to your wine selections.

  • Exciting Golf

by BogeyBoy on 3/2/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

Great weather & great golf. Slightly disappointed that more of the top names weren't there, but nonetheless saw some exciting golf

  • Very enjoyable

by Jenba on 3/2/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

My only criticism is the price gouging for private viewing areas. Much more reasonable last year.

  • Parking

by Lindan on 3/2/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

It was great fun. Only bad thing was public parking in a rutted field!

  • Golf great experience could be better

by Puppy on 3/2/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Golfers were great. . Signage to general parking could have been more and better. To long a distance between directional signs once you got off 95. No give away this year. Very disappointing. Might only be trinkets but it was an additional experience.

  • Lackluster

by Dutch on 3/1/25Rating: 2 out of 5

Absolute disappointment. Paid for Bear Trap tickets with alcohol included. They advertised seltzers (wife) as being part of that. Apparently false advertising because they don’t have any. Noontime Saturday and the Beartrap is dead. The usual crowd is just not here.

  • Great Tournament

by Dawn on 3/1/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Tournament and property were great ! Two areas of concern . Parking was absolutely awful this year ! Needs a new plan . Secondly, it would be helpful to have more concessions for the public as we walk the course . Carts or stands ! Will return .

  • Can't complain!

by Dan on 1/10/25Rating: 4 out of 5

I've been attending for 8 years and as a veteran I've only had to pay to get in once. That was during covid. I sure would like a more prestigious lineup of players but I enjoy watching the players who are there. I'm sure bringing in bigger names would certainly draw bigger crowds. I'd like to see a wider selection of beer. Neither Modelo or Corona are of my favorites. All in all a nice event. I'll be there this year.

  • Great time

by Jodi on 3/1/23PGA National Resort & Spa - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time, it was a fantastic game and the whole family enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the amenities provided were great.

  • Decent but Some things to be desired

by Fred on 2/28/23PGA National Resort & Spa - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Seemed well organized, parking easy to find, transportation worked well. Numerous stands open to public. No more pairing sheets so they force you to use your phone. Need way more charging stations as this saps your battery hard. Very hot weather and no ice cream for sale…?? Golf shirts for sale with Honda Classic on is were best described as unattractive.

  • Bear trap was way too crowded

by Disappointed golf fan on 2/26/23PGA National Resort & Spa - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

I have loved this event in the past and always spend the extra to get into the bear trap. Well this year it was so overly crowded we could not get any beverages or concessions. It was hard to hold a conversation- and this is an outdoor event. My suggestion would be to limit the tickets to the bear trap a lot more than you did this year. Or offer up the reserve upstairs on weekend for people to upgrade to.

  • Curtesy carts

    by T. S. on 2/13/23Rating: 5 out of 5

One friend beat cancer but did not have a lot of stamina. Of course you have to get your picture with the BEAR. The carts allowed us the little help we needed to have a great time. See you folks 2/22/23.

  • Lots of Fun

by HectRub on 3/6/22PGA National Resort & Spa - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

The tournament was lots of fun. Lots of walking, and great outdoors experience. Parking was well organized, tickets easy to purchase, awesome transfers to the tournament from parking and a plethora of concessions to satisfy craves and thirst. The Food & Beverage I would say is the one area that requires attention as it pertains to fans that are vegetarian or vegan. I attended with two vegetarian friends and they literally had bagged potato chips as the only option to eat (at least in the concessions we visited looking for options). As a Citi Card Member, it was great to enjoy access to the Citi Lounge and their great restrooms, etc. All in all a good experience and would definitely return next year.

  • 2022 Disappointing Classic

by Dan on 3/3/22PGA National Resort & Spa - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Disappointed. The scan phone thing was unnecessary and inconvenient! There were no pairing sheets which again was disappointing because you couldn’t see it on your phone due to glare from the sun. Increased prices and fewer top golfers this year. We have attended every year for many years. Hope next year will be better.
