  • Sierra and Bianca did not disappoint!

by MatthewGrant on 9/25/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

The show was filled with Trippy lights and screen projections. The performers were full of energy. Be ready to melt into the crowd as the melodic blends of sounds and sights fill you. They played turn me on- a+++++

  • Maybe the best i've seen...

    by cocogirl07 on 9/23/10Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

CocoRosie was phenomenal. I love their music so much and it was made even better by the awesome beat boxer Tez, who my friends and I met at a pizza place after the concert. Highly recommended.

  • AWESOME

BEST band to hit up A-town all year. Unbeliable indivuals comprise the band, and you would be insane to miss it. Plus at only $20 a ticket there will not be a better deal ever. Completely satisfied, i want much much more!

Despite making us wait very long, Cocorosie gave an amazing show. I had never seen them live and based on their CDs and the fact that their music relies on so many unconventional instruments, it could easily have been underwhelming. But somehow they managed to capture the magic, spontaneity and absolute sheer musical beauty of their music at its best. Even the interlude was this amazing beatboxing dude, I would go see a whole show of just him too! The venue felt intimate and the crowd was very passionate and altogether made for a very fun and mesmerizing evening. I would go see this show over and over.

Great concert!! Amazing band! I loved the way in which they played!

  • Dazzling

Bursting with energy; they seriously know how to put on a performance that never lulls. Saw them in June and didn't hesitate at the thirty dollar ticket price, knew they wouldn't disappoint. You can't help smiling with them; their childlike energy is contagious.

They are so magical to see live! Wish I could have stayed there forever!

  • Better on CD

by Anonymous on 9/17/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 1 out of 5

CocoRosie finally took the stage after making the audience suffer through one hour of a bad DJ set slash punk drag performance. Much of the appeal of their music is the mix between precious and quirky. Unfortunately that doesn't translate into a live performance. In fact, one of the sisters' voices simply is annoying and grating without careful post-processing. I went back to the latest CD the next morning and it's a different world. Do avoid them live.

Watching them live let me fully embrace the music. With dancing and singing along I felt part of the musical creation. The atmosphere helped to create the mood, the theater is awesome. I would recommend anyone who is fan of the arts to see Cocorosie and Busdriver or any other artist the Orpheum Host.

CocoRosie was great. This was my first concert seeing them and I was pleased. Cibelle was entertaining but too soft at times so it was hard to hear her. Busdriver was GREAT! I really enjoyed his set and his style. Cibelle, followed by Busdriver, followed by CocoRosie was such a broad range of musical styles, but I really liked that aspect of it. I also liked that this concert was seated because standing for hours on end can be exhausting. CocoRosie did not come on until after 10:30 so we were already there for over two hours before the main act came on. All-in-all I was pleased and enjoyed the concert!

  • Amazing Show!!!!

by KoLlovr on 7/6/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Cocorosie live. I thought they had a cool sound and wanted to see them live. They were so much better than I expected. I appreciate their music so much more now. The beat boxer was insane! I've never seen anything like it. The opening acts were weird. Cibelle was aweful and I couldn't wait for her set to end. Busdriver was interesting. But they both played for an hour!! The show was way too long and we left a little early. We had already been there for almost 5 hrs. Cocorosie-worth it! Skip the opening acts unless you're a fan of their's too.

  • An Entirely Ethereal Event

by Lilypop on 7/5/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The Orpheum Theatre has got to be the most phenomenal venue I've ever been lucky enough to see a show in. That in and of itself set the mood for a fantastic evening. Then Cibelle warmed us up with some beautiful singing, lyrics with lots of guns, and a few cute twisty dance moves. I wasn't so certain about Busdriver at first but it didn't take long to feel his grooves and fall into a rhythmic enchantment. And then, finally, CocoRosie came on and for the next hour or so I was in complete, mind blown bliss. They are such an amazingly talented band, it's impossible to put into words how moving and spiritual of a show it was. I cried at least three times. I am definitely going to have to see them again next time around.

  • A Strange and Spiritual Experience

by cocopan on 7/4/10Wonder Ballroom - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

CocoRosie was an amazing show and I truly hope to see them again. Beautiful concert! They were so involved with the crowd and with each other I didn't even notice that they hardly spoke on stage until someone else pointed it out. They truly did interact with the crowd in a unique way. The energy was overwhelmingly positive. I walked away feeling like I had been in a strange place I belonged to, that I knew those sisters on a deeper level than I would ever have expected, and that I had just witnessed something incredibly unique. Also, their beat-boxer is the best I've EVER heard. Costumes were very interesting and costume changes continued through the show as they shed layers. All musicians were exceptional. It was a strange and spiritual experience that made me feel very much at home. UNFORGETTABLE!!!

  • Pure Beauty

by awwbriejean on 7/4/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I have never witness such purity and beauty in my life. All of the different sounds represented came together in perfect harmony, and Sierra's voice! By far, thee most beautiful sound I have ever heard. I felt as if I would explode. I HIGHLY recommend seeing CocoRosie live. No concert will ever come close to their perfection.

  • by Anonymous on 7/3/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Cocorosie was amazing!! They put on a fabulous show!! Busdriver was kind of random, didnt flow with the other artists, but Coco rosie killed it! And made up for it!

Beatiful performace, great venue, within walking distance from our building. Great night.

  • Seriously Crazy

by Alipank on 7/3/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert ever. The atmosphere was insane and Bianca and Sierra were fantastically entertaining. I would recommend it a thousand times over, even if you aren't familiar with their music. Their beat boxer, Tez, is amazing. Seriously, he is insanely talented. His 10 minute solo was the most amazing thing I've ever heard uttered out of someone's mouth.

  • by pamfancy on 7/3/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Mind Blowing! It was by far one of my favorite cocorosire show!

  • Cocorosie!

by LARadiantR on 7/3/10Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I wrote so much in the" favorite moment "section below that I have less to say here now as i started with that question first! Ok, let's see... the show was intoxicating and colorful, joyful and triumphant (yes, I just said that, I know....!), beautiful and inspiring. I really enjoyed seeing this band for the first time at the Orpheum because I was 3rd row and center, near the aisle, and it was close enough to really vibe into from there. I will say that I would prefer (next time) to try and see them at a venue that encourages standing and dancing--- a space with a designated dance floor would have been wonderful and made this concert even more magical. I also would like to see them outdoors somewhere at a small festival, where they can blend their beautiful performance art with nature more. Lovely energy from Cocorosie and the men they jam with...really one of my most smiley concert experiences ever. And I see quite alot of music live. I highly recommend them to lift your spirit high and dust it ever so intensely with a rainbow of musical glitter and soul.
