About

From an early age, Clay Aiken was recognized for his wonderful voice and natural ability as a live performer. After singing in the choir and in several musicals, Aiken attained national fame on the popular TV show American Idol. Though Aiken finished second in the competition to Ruben Studdard, Aiken soon had a recording contract and released his first single, the #1 hit "This Is the Night," within weeks of the show's end. This success was followed by the 2003 release of his double-platinum debut album, The Measure of a Man, which featured the hits "I Will Carry You" and "Invisible." Later that same year, Aiken won the Fan's Choice Award at the American Music Awards, proving millions of fans held the singer close to their hearts. 2004 saw the release of another smash hit for Aiken, the holiday album Merry Christmas with Love.

  • Clay was amazing

by maxwellq on 2/28/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

I throughly enjoyed the show, was very glad I went, wish I had taken my boyfriend. Clay sings like an angel, he is better in person than on CD's. He was personable and charming with the audience, the only way it could have been more enjoyable was if he sang even more. Young electric guitar player was great!

I had an absolutely wonderful evening. Clay gave a great singing performance, as well as providing some comical relief. The venue was very cozy, I have never been that close before. I will always see Clay Aiken perform whenever he is in the DC, Baltimore area and I have.

  • Clay Aiken Live Is A Must See Performance

by CLHAI on 2/25/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

The man knows how to captivate an audience. I much prefer to hear a REAL singer live and he is just that, a REAL singer!! He can move a person to tears by the emotion he puts into his songs and on the other hand he can have you clapping along with the upbeat songs. He is funny and doesn't care if he messes up. He incorporates that into his show. He shares the stage with back-up singers and band members. He is the total package when it come to being entertained. He is just a man enjoying what he loves to do and appreciates the fact he can do waht he loves doing. He never stops thanking the audience. He is an enjoyable 2 hour investment!

by tcwits on 2/24/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

I went with a friend to see Clay but I wasn't a fan. After watching him perform, both in song and his great sense of humor...I AM NOW A LIFELONG CLAYMATE!!!!! I will see him on every tour he has. This was a real treat. I went in with low expectations and left sky high. What a nice guy and a voice that, in a concert venue, was amazing! CLAY, YOU HAVE A NEW CLAYMATE!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic - as usual

by Anonymous on 2/24/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many concerts by Clay Aiken and I am never disappointed. This is a small venue and allows for interaction with the audience. I hope he returns to Goucher college and would certainly attend again, and again, and again.

  • Clay Aiken takes on Goucher College

by Dalace on 2/24/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 4 out of 5

Clay's voice was excellent as it is every time he is LIVE!! However, a few strange happenings prevented it from being a perfect show. I'll just call them technical difficulties... they set the show on a different path...a few lighting occurrences among other things. The overall show was great, good to hear his band playing 50/60s Jazzy music!!

  • Aiken - Amazing & Charming

    by Barbara7916 on 2/24/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

Simply put: awesome show! Clay brought the old crooner songs and then some to magical life with his angelic voice. I have been to all of Clay's shows and enjoy them every time. Clay is one of those once in a life time gifts of music and heart. I hope he never stops the music as his fans would just be devistated. Meet and greet was wonderful too. I have waited 8 long years to stand next to him and say job well done. A must see show for any Clay fan. Unchained Melody.....need I say more. Simply fantastic.

Clay Aiken is fabulous! He is two people. First,he is the ultimate song meister. His vocals are glorious and spellbinding. Second, he is an entertaining comedian, for I laughed out loud at his comments. I have to go see this show "Tried & True" again before it is over in March

  • A Musical Joy

by synoptic on 2/24/11Kraushaar Auditorium - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

Clay Aiken at the Kraushaar Auditorium was an absolute joy to share. Clay has a way of bringing the audience into a musical and personal conversation with him throughout the performance. The quality of his music, the quality of his musicians and the setting at the Auditorium at Goucher was very much first rate. The only thing Clay complained about in a joking kind of manner was the fact that there was no "spotlight." Well, that did not detract from the variety of music, and the superb voice of Clay Aiken. My wife, her father, and two friends came to enjoy Clay and we were not disappointed.

  • Clay-man can sing!

by BuckeyeZack on 2/23/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Clay Aiken proves that he has undeniable talent! He can sing just about any type of song from any genre. He is very personable with the audience and seems very down-to-earth. He deserves much more recognition on his amazing vocal abilities. He gives an awesome performance by sharing his versions of the many newer and older songs he sings. I would definitely go see him again!

  • Clay was wonderful

by LOVETHEEYES on 2/22/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I totally loved the concert. Clay is a fantastic singer and has done wonders with the oldies that he has redone. I would not listen to most of these songs if it wasn't for the way he has made them his own.

  • Oldies but....

by Palie on 2/21/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

I was not aware that this was Clays tribute to the classics. That is if you were born in he thirtys. How can Clay do a show without his signature songs? Bridge over troubled water, don't let the sun, invincible? I was impressed by Clays voice but not by the set, sorry.

  • Clay Aiken saves his best for the last!

by AliciaMia on 2/20/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed Clay's concert with a warm heart and a spirited soul. Clay enriches my life. I don't share Clay's choice for Jazz, but Quiana favors it too. I didn't care for the songs that they played with by asking the audience to chose a type of song and then sing it in a different type of song.. The rest was over the top. I had a very enjoyable concert with Clay.

  • Clay did not disappoint

by harkins1 on 2/19/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

From the first song to the song playing in the parking lot as we left the concert was wonderful. Clay's clear voice is mesmerizing. It appears effortless. His humor was outstanding, even when he made fun of himself. Well worth the time and money. I would go again tomorrow.
