About

From an early age, Clay Aiken was recognized for his wonderful voice and natural ability as a live performer. After singing in the choir and in several musicals, Aiken attained national fame on the popular TV show American Idol. Though Aiken finished second in the competition to Ruben Studdard, Aiken soon had a recording contract and released his first single, the #1 hit "This Is the Night," within weeks of the show's end. This success was followed by the 2003 release of his double-platinum debut album, The Measure of a Man, which featured the hits "I Will Carry You" and "Invisible." Later that same year, Aiken won the Fan's Choice Award at the American Music Awards, proving millions of fans held the singer close to their hearts. 2004 saw the release of another smash hit for Aiken, the holiday album Merry Christmas with Love.

Clay was good as usual. Didn't care for some of the songs, and I'm not that thrilled about the direction in music that he has taken, but he did do a good job, altho not a great job. Not sure if I'll go to see him again or not.

Seeing Clay Aiken LIVE presents an unforgettable experience!! Aside from his brilliant vocals, he is charming, witty, funny, engaging and totally irresistable. He is a variety show packaged into one single performer...no bells and whistles needed!! The show is filled with tender moments, unforgettable chatter, interaction with the audience and an understanding of what is needed to entertain fans from 4 to 94!!! If you attend a show just for the music, which is always magnificent, you will also find your self laughing and wanting to be part of the entertainment! There are no dull moments and Clay will bring you to tears as easily and he will make you laugh!! What a gift to the entertainment world!!! Seeing one show is NEVER enough!!!

Clay had it down how to entertain. Show moved at a nice pace and was engaging. No scenery or costume variety though - just pure vocal sound. Nice evening.

  • Aiken for Clay

    by Claylover5 on 3/4/11Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Clay has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard! He can go from a falsetto to a bass voice with so little effort. He made these classic songs come alive for me. I love the way Clay engages with the audience,he makes us feel like we are all one big happy family!

Clay's humor was spot on as hoped for. Obviously, he's got great pipes, and I was aware that this was a concert of oldies, he did them great justice. Loved, loved, loved his personal version of Unchained Melody.

  • Aiken...Excellent as anticipated

I think Clay has a remarkable voice with a unique range. His style is warm, funny, and appealing while demonstrating a huge vocal talent. I would like to know whenever he is in the tri-state area performing, since his concerts are always done so well. The musical accompaniment was superb, as well.

  • Clay Aiken was very personable!

He seemed to be suffering a little from laryngitis... His singing, however, was beautiful!!! I would have liked to hear him sing a little more and would have wanted to hear some of his early hits. Overall, very enjoyable! He was very funny! Much more comfortable in front of the audience than when I saw him way back when.

My tickets which I ordered early was right next door to the guy that was in charge of the lights and sound. My wife was ready to walk out. Luckily it was not sold out, and we got better seats. We liked Clay's interplay with the guests. Clay was very self condfident; however we think he had a cold.

  • Clay Aiken FABULOUS!

Clay is a natural performer. He is so relaxed on stage, that he makes the audience relaxed while watching him performed! Clay left me wanting more!

The Clay Aiken "Tried & True" tour at the Keswick in Glenside, Pa. was quite different from his other tours. Singing 50's & 60's love songs beautifully, he managed to do a medley of his hits arranged in the same style, giving it quite a different take. As always, he was chatty with the audience, witty, funny, and down-to-earth acknowledging his mother in the audience as well. My three girls and I attended and had a GREAT time!!!

  • Clay was funny and enchanting!!!

  • Clay Aiken Concert was good

by JanQ on 2/28/11NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5

I still think Clay Aiken is the best American Idol. He has the best voice & can sing anything. I was a little disappointed that the show didn't start on time. It was about 20 minutes late. I also would have enjoyed more of "His" songs mixed in with his new stuff. Was keeping my fingers crossed for Bridge over Trouble Waters but he didn't sing that either. Clay has a great sense of humor & was very personable with the audience. Even though I had a few disappointments, I still would not have missed the show. He's still my favorite!!

  • Clay's audience loves him!

by InTheBack on 2/28/11NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5

Clay connects with his audience as soon as he enters the stage. His voice, his personality, his ease on stage all add to the performance. The banter between himself, the band and his backup singer are at times hilarious! Can't wait for the next time....
