About

From an early age, Clay Aiken was recognized for his wonderful voice and natural ability as a live performer. After singing in the choir and in several musicals, Aiken attained national fame on the popular TV show American Idol. Though Aiken finished second in the competition to Ruben Studdard, Aiken soon had a recording contract and released his first single, the #1 hit "This Is the Night," within weeks of the show's end. This success was followed by the 2003 release of his double-platinum debut album, The Measure of a Man, which featured the hits "I Will Carry You" and "Invisible." Later that same year, Aiken won the Fan's Choice Award at the American Music Awards, proving millions of fans held the singer close to their hearts. 2004 saw the release of another smash hit for Aiken, the holiday album Merry Christmas with Love.

  • If you haven't seen Clay Aiken - go!

    by Bunnygirl13 on 12/11/12Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

What an entertainer! We saw him on Broadway - hilarious. Wonderful voice. The crowd was so enthusiastic - verging on rowdy - and he handled it really well. We were next to two teenagers who weren't so enthusiastic as the show began, were jumping up and down gleefully as it ended. Worth every penny.

I went to this concert alone because no one would go with me. I am so glad I did. Clay is an amazing performer. I had the fortunate luck of getting a seat right up by the stage. He interacted with the crowd and made us all laugh especially at the two people there that were really drunk. I can only hope that he will come back again to Boston, very soon, and do a concert that is not Christmas themed. I want to see him do his songs too.

Clay puts on a great show. Not only is he an extremely talented singer but he engages the audience by talking with them during the show. He makes his shows very entertaining and is very funny in his banter with the audience.

I don't think you can go wrong with Clay! With the perfect combination of Christmas music and conversation, the night was both beautiful and full of laughs at every corner. You can't learn to have a personality like Clay. You either have it or you don't, and he has it making him just as entertaining while he's speaking as he is when he's singing! The singing was amazing , he has the voice of an angel!!

This show was beautiful simple and so enjoyable. It was Clay and an orchestra - what could be more perfect than that. Clay's voice was spectacular. The acoustics at the St. George Theatre was great.

I have loved Clay's voice since he was on American Idol ... which is mainly why my mom, daughter and I went. Boy were we surprised!!! Clay's personality and rapport with the audience shown! There were jokes, poignant moments, classic Christmas carols, updated Christmas songs ... you name it, it was there. The audience interaction was great and showed that Clay really knows and appreciates his fans. Absolutely amazing!!! If he comes back next year for a Christmas show we will DEFINITELY be there!!!

  • Clay was in top form!!

I have been following Clay for the last 10 years. I have seen all of his Christmas tours. This was the best! Just Clay and a 20 piece orchestra. It doesn't get much better than that!! To top it off, he was in full humor, connected well with the audience and just pure joy to watch.

Concert was good - Seats were awful - too close to another person, large people could not sit properly. Squeezed into one another - extremely uncomfortable

  • THE BEST EVER!!

by joyase on 12/3/12DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a Claymate for 10 years; hooked from day one on American Idol. Have been to numerous concerts, but this one is by far the BEST ever! He is like fine wine; gets better with age. His voice is so pure & powerful & yet tender all at the same time. His banter with the audience is side splitting. He is the ultimate entertainer. As a man sitting near me stated after the concert, he mesmerizes the audience & commands the stage & has such a presence; he draws you into a trance. NO ON E comes close to Clay Aiken live!!!! I saw Paul McCartney a few years ago, and there is no comparison to Clay - he beats him hands down as THE performer!

  • Clay Aiken smooth and eardelicious for Christmas

by sassyblue8 on 12/3/12Trump Taj Mahal - Mark G. Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

If anyone can get one in the mood for Christmas it's Clay Aiken. He can sing them all so well. I enjoyed ever minute of his show from "Mary Did You Know" to "What Are You Doing on New Year's Eve." When he sings those high notes everyone is thrilled and amazed. This man can sing and Christmas songs are made for his voice, his fabulous voice. He is also funny and seems to interact with his audience in a cute and endearing way. Love the "Voice" love the man and love how he sings with such joy and such passion!

  • Clay Aiken is the Best!

Show was fantastic! Right off the show started at 8 pm on Time! Cay's singing was Great and the way he inteacted with us in the aduience was wonderful, this made us feel really special! He is funny and very entertaining and can laugh at himself! Having the singing contest for someone in the audience was an added part of the overall entertainment. After the show we met one of the hired base players out side and we asked if Clay was as nice as he seemed? And Andy said, "Yes even nicer". I tell everyone I meet, he is worth the time and money! This was the 11th time I have been to a Clay Aiken concert and alreay have tickets for his show in Anaheim, CA for Dec. 21st. Really looking forward to the show!
