About

From an early age, Clay Aiken was recognized for his wonderful voice and natural ability as a live performer. After singing in the choir and in several musicals, Aiken attained national fame on the popular TV show American Idol. Though Aiken finished second in the competition to Ruben Studdard, Aiken soon had a recording contract and released his first single, the #1 hit "This Is the Night," within weeks of the show's end. This success was followed by the 2003 release of his double-platinum debut album, The Measure of a Man, which featured the hits "I Will Carry You" and "Invisible." Later that same year, Aiken won the Fan's Choice Award at the American Music Awards, proving millions of fans held the singer close to their hearts. 2004 saw the release of another smash hit for Aiken, the holiday album Merry Christmas with Love.

The music and the arrangements were fantastic! Clay and Ruben sing like angels, and they do all the favorites from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's in this two hour no-break production. Kudos to the musicians and back-up singers too, everyone on the stage was so professional and sounded so good! I would like to see it over and over again I'm still singing the songs in my head this morning! The comedy and chemistry between Clay and Ruben is wonderful. and had as laughing through-out. All ages were in attendance, and all enjoyed it. The buzz, when we were leaving was 5 stars!

A memorable night of singing, dancing and fun. The show was well put together and was a full two hours without intermission. Ruben Studdard is a very good singer and Clay Aikenis incredible. My party enjoyed it very much. One friend who had knee surgery and was still walking with a cane, stood and danced just as much as we did! Their comedy woven throughout the show made it like getting two shows in one. The acoustics in the Ruth Eckerd Hall made a great show even better.

I am a longtime avid Clay Aiken fan and have been waiting for him to tour again. I do not follow Ruben Studdard, but after last night's concert he changed my mind. He has matured and grown into quite an entertainer. I loved seeing both of them together and enjoyed their duets as much as I did their individual songs. I was very happy to see Clay again, missing him for the last couple years. I'm looking forward to his 2011 tour. LOVE CLAY!! WELCOME BACK CLAY,,,,,

Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard's concert was great! Both of them have incredible voices. They sang great songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. They are hilarious together. My husband said they could be the next Martin and Lewis. It was an awesome show.

The show was amazing. The songs ranged from the 60's - 90's. Both Clay and Ruben were in perfect pitch and blended like they have worked together for years. The concert was not about the hype they concentrated on the music. Who would ever had know that Ruben Studdard had a sense of humor. You laughed and sang along.

  • That voice!!!

I have always been a Claymate but, I must say I walked away from that concert with a newfound respect and liking for Ruben. They play off of each other so perfectly. Clay can sing anything and I feel like the songs he sang were chosen just for me. I am so glad they chose to do a show here in the Tampa Bay.

What a fantastic show....2 great singers, backed up by two great singers, with a great band, and pianist/musical director. Clay and Ruben worked well together, played off each other well, and sang together well. It was a very entertaining concert, those who missed it, missed a great time. To see the entire audiance standing, singing along and dancing (me too!!) was super!

We very much enjoyed the show! They provided a wide variety 60's-90's of musical material. Their interaction with each other was very good and really entertaining. You can tell they are really good friends. They are both very talented, charming good ole southern boys! It was a great value of entertainment. would definitely see them again. They played to each other's strengths and of course their differences.

Clay and Ruben gave a fabulous performance. Their voices are amazing. Two solid hours of fantastic singing by two wonderful, talented young men. Hope they will continue to tour together along with the rest of their cast-the girls and the band are also the best. Can't wait for their next show.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen! Non-stop music, awesome songs, and great performances! Clay 's voice never better. Reuben's skit as "preacher" was great, he and Clay have a great sense of humor! I wish they had never stopped singing. Their back-up singers had great voices and the band was awesome also. A great two and a half hour (no intermission) concert and afternoon! Would go to see them again in a heartbeat!

  • loved the show

by Claymate on 7/26/10King Center for the Performing Arts - MelbourneRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. I have seen Clay 5 times by himself, and this is the first time I have seen Reuben perform. They were great. I was happy Reuben came out to sign autographs afterward, but Clay did not. I wish Clay would have come out also.

  • cute idea but dissappointing

by Marie45 on 7/26/10King Center for the Performing Arts - MelbourneRating: 3 out of 5

Thought they would do their own music and maybe duets, but not perform the whole show with other recorded music. It was going to see a cover band- NOT great performers we watched battle it out on TV.
