Better than even expected!
by MissLis on 8/13/10Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - VeronaRating: 4 out of 5I went questionably wondering if I was going to be let down. I could not have been more impressed. The variety show "Las Vegas" style show was a great idea. The fact that they sang the songs that we all know was great. Clay had great moments...but was definitely no Barry Manilow. Ruben was phenomenal....a Luther he definitely is. Great show!
Great Show from Clay and Ruben
by Applepi on 8/13/10Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - VeronaRating: 5 out of 5Don't ever miss another show with Clay Aikin or Ruben Studard. These guys sing great old music with gret new voices. A very high energy show will have you up and dancing. Loved it!
Great show; horrible venue
by TANNCLAY on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5Clay and Ruben were excellent. They sang wonderful songs and sounded amazing. But the venue was so messed up that my guest and I were forced to sit on the floor to watch the concert. Not fun.

Clays voice stands out as usual, the crowd was thrilled with the concert. Clay's voice is beautiful and his personality draws the crowd in.
Clay & Ruben were amazing and incredibly funny!
by Krystyna1 on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5This was the best show. It was so much energy & fun. They had the audience singing, dancing and laughing. Both their voices are incredible and their interaction with each other was a joy to watch. A must see show!!!
Clay looked and sounded soooo hawt
by Clayonia on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5It was a pleasure to see and hear Clay sing after such a long absence. He never looked better in my opinion. He's back to his old original hair style from his early days which was when all the Claymates fell in love with him. Clay and Ruben did a comedy routine where they played off each other like the Smothers Brothers from years ago. It was a hoot. They would make an excellent comedy team. I loved all of the music that was sung from the 60's,thru the 90's. Clay was dancing as well as singing, and he got the entire audience up and dancing with him. What fun we all had. The only mark against this experience would be in the venue itself. There was a mix-up in the seating arrangements. It seemed like the room was switched last minute, and new seats were assigned but not necessarily good ones. Some people couldn't even find any seats. This whole debacle delayed the show for a half hour. Also the sound-system wasn't the greatest either.I found that the music sometime drowned the voices. But overall, I would recommend going to see this tour. I loved it especially Clay.
Clay and Ruben rocked the house - literally
by caks on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Clay and Ruben came up with a show that brings us on such an exciting, humorous trip through time that when it ends, we only wish they had more decades to share with us. The song choices chosen for solos showcased their natural style differences beautifully, but it was the medleys and banter that gave us glimpses into their obvious friendship and chemistry. I left the Hammerstein feeling like I had been given a seat at one of the best variety shows of my youth and I loved it. There were seating/ticket issues with the venue itself and the building was not the easiest to get into. Seven floors up and one elevator made for a very slow fill of the house. Not sure I would go back to that venue...but I'd see this concert again in a heartbeat. Setlist is too long for the text field so here goes: Flying Without Wings, This Is The Night, Suspicious Minds, Bring It On Home To Me, In The Midnight Hour, Up On The Roof, Someday We'll Be Together, Goin' Out Of My Head, Can’t Hurry Love, Happy Together, Can’t Help Myself, Cryin’, Soul Man, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Shotgun, Sugar, Sugar, Just One Look, Harper Valley PTA, Ain’t To Proud To Beg, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Natural Woman, Still the One, Mercy Me, Night Fever, Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now, Oh, What a Night (1963), Oh Girl, On The Radio, Turn The Beat Around, Sex Machine (Get on Up), Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, More Than A Feeling, September, Mandy, Superstar, I’m Every Woman, Baby, Stay With Me Tonight?, When I See You Smile, Eye Of The Tiger, Rhythm Of The Night, Glory Of Love, Shout, Africa, Can’t Fight This Feeling, Through The Fire, All Night Long, If This Is It, Alone, Caribbean Queen, Nothings Gonna Stop Us, Footloose, Everything I Do, I Do For You, This Is How We Do It, Poison, Achy Breaky Heart, The Right Stuff, Mmm...Bop, End Of The Road, I Swear, I Want It That Way, Remember The Time, You Oughta Know, Jump Around, Baby Got Baby Back, Livin La Vida Loca, One Sweet Day, I’ve Had The Time Of My Life

Clay & Ruben Concert
by BrooklynCarolyn on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5I was extremely disappointed that I was not aware until I arrived that the Hammerstein Ballroom decided to do away with the seat numbers... had I known that it was all general admission seating I would have arrived earlier. Clay was amazing as usual but he only sang 3 or 4 solo numbers and I thought that since 90% of the audience was there to see him, it would have been nice to have more Clay time. And I could have done without listening to Ruben's jokes.... it took time away from Clay singing which was really what everyone was there to see/hear.
AMAZING!
by Anonymous on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5This was the BEST concert I've ever been to...from start to finish. Clay and Ruben were unbelievable. I didn't want it to end!
Mr. Entertainment
by clayfannj on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I have seen Clay many times. Last night in NYC was particularly energetic and magical. Humor, timing, pacing, chemistry with Ruben and that AMAZING VOICE produced an evening of sheer entertainment. There was some confusion at the venue with seating logistics that should not have taken place. But it could not put a damper on the stellar evening that kept the audience on their feet most of the time.. BRAVO CLAY and RUBEN!!
I had the time of my life...
by nana927 on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Clay Aiken and Reuben Studdard put on an absolutely wonderful show. Their friendship and affection for each other shone throughout, from their amazing duets to their teasing banter. Reuben showed an amazing range of talent and, as always, Clay was incredible.I totally enjoed both of them and hope they perform again in the future.
Clay & Ruben on fire
by Jpeg on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5The show was outstanding. Two hours of favorites over the decades; not one minute of silence. People were dancing in the aisles and were on their feet for most of the show- the floor was shaking. Clay and Ruben both ROCKED!! Casey, Quiana and the band - WOW If you get an opportunity to see Clay, GO. He can more than sing, he's an entertainer.
Reuben and Clay back together again!!
by SP56 on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5I love Reuben and Clay. They were the best season of American Idol, but their show was just average. They did a medley of hits from the decades the 60's, 70's and 8o's. Instead of this, why didn't they sing the songs that most people know them for. Their songs from their days on American Idol. I was disappointed. Also, Clay could have sung more from his CD's. The same goes for Reuben. Reuben's voice sounded great. Clay's voice didnt sound good at all he was losing it. Also, there was too much talking between the two of them. There should have been more singing. Also, they let the back up singers sing a couple of songs. I didn't pay to see these women sing. Also, the venue of Hammerstein Ballroom was very disorganized no one knew where their seats were and the sound (acoustics) wasn't great!!!!
Clay Aiken and Rubin Studdard were wonderful
by Starfeather on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5The show's venue was changed from the Hammerstin Ballroom to a smaller venue and the seats were numbered, BUT many, many tickets that were sold had no numbered seats. It was very chaotic and upsetting and people who had wanted to view the show from the first tier, so that they could look down, were placed in the back of the orchestra on the floor! The show started 20 minutes late due to the mix-up. I loved Clay and Rubin. They have fabulous voices and they were adorable. One thing that I have to mention though. The reflection from the drummers bass is blinding most of the time. The light refects off of the silver and it really is disturbing and could be actually dangerous for some. ( if they have a seizure disorder) Also the bright, bright, light from the tee shirt table was also shining brightly and annoying the patrons sitting in the back and the lady in front of me didn't stop talking and yelling about it, all during the show. I would love to see and hear Clay and Rubin again, but in a more comfortable setting. Sincerely your, Marsha Tarih
Clay/Ruben Timeless Tour was sensational
by Poppy3 on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5They reconfigured the venue and I wound up with a better seat, great. Everyone on the stage was fantastic but Clay and Ruben should do a movie together. Their chemistry is undeniable. Both Clay and Ruben have never sounded better and I had a wonderful time. It was awesome. Clay has such charisma, you can't even describe it.
Hammerstein is off my list !
by InTheBack on 8/12/10Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5First let me say that Ruben and Clay were great! They played well off each other. The timing was great and the singing and dancing was better (even though Clay was quite hoarse, he gave it his best try. I don't know how he hit some of those notes!) Now the reason for the missing star. The venue moved the concert to a smaller room and in the process our 6th row balcony seats turned into next to last row orchestra. Are they kidding! I could have paid for SRO because that's what we had to do to see them! Not fair Hammerstein! I'm calling American Express to dispute!
