I have attended quite a few different Cirque shows and this one did not disappoint! Very thrilling and absolutely entertaining. Great combination of ice skating spectacular and acrobatic stunts. I recommend this show!
I purchased tickets to this for me and 3 friends thinking it would be more like acrobatics and ice skating make circus like. However this was not the case. The storyline was a joke, the did jumps from ramps while on ice skates but thats it. Disney on ice would have been better. Plus tickets were $93 per person. Never again.
Loved the variety of ice skating. Musicians were upbeat and outstanding. Hard to understand the dialog and follow the story line.
Is very disappointed I waited forever to finally see what everyone else had been talking about I have seen different reviews and trailer on a cirque soleil performance and this was not even close to the experience I waited so long for.
The story and production of the show was enjoyable, but being the Cirque du Solei we expected to have more acrobatic shows included,
More than expected! My first time seeing a live show and it didn't disappoint and........it was on ice no less. Super.
I might not be the best person to consult about a Cirque review, as I'm pretty biased about them by now after seeing 6 or 7 different shows in the past. ;-) That being said, I always enjoy their production value, skill level of the performers, the quirky storylines and overall atmosphere of a Cirque show. Crystal was no different.
This is a fresh take on ice skating entertainment, an outstanding performance as usual from Cirque du soleil - Cheers!
I love Cirque du Soliel shows, seen many. This was one of the best. My Boyfriend went for the first time and he loved it. Too bad it was only here for a weekend. we need more Cirque in Chicago.
The location was great, the show was so incredibly awesome! The story it told was wonderful. I was so amazed they could to all of that while on ice! They are all so incredibly talented! Would highly recommend!

This was an incredibly poetic and artsy show. It packed high meaning, but when I think cirque du Soleil, I think incredible stunts. The students were great, I just wasn’t blown away.
I have seen at least 10 Cirque shows. This one wasn't as exciting as others, but still worth attending. I liked the variety of music. However, for a family show, I didn't think the song about drinking and drinking was appropriate. The hockey part was a bit strange and I didn't get how that fit the story. Tickets were a gift, but the gift giver couldn't transfer prepaid parking, which was frustrating.
We have been to several Cirque du Soleil shows - this was the first one on ice - and Crystal delivers in prime Cirque du Soleil fashion!! Entertaining and dazzling from beginning to end with graceful wire work, elegant / skilled gymnastics, and effortless skating while performing advanced skills. The storyline was very well conceived and executed. Well worth the money for ice level (front row) seats. The character actors (“clowns”) that kept the audience entertained prior to the start of the show, during set changes and during breaks in the performance were awesome!! The live band that played the music ensembles prior to and throughout the performance also need a “tip of the hat” - incredible!! (Think of the orchestra’s role in “Peter and the Wolf”, except without the entire orchestra, but with the same effect)

Crystal felt different than many of the other Cirque Du Soleil, not just because it was on ice, but because it was the story of a girl and it needed a lot of voice over explanations to help tell the story. My husband loved this element and the story. I loved the excitement and music. Our two boys ages 8 and 11 said “it was ok”. It did start out slow and I was wondering if I was going to enjoy the show. In the end, I did enjoy the show!
This Cirque Du Soleil show is like no other. I went to this show with my wife and my two, only, teens, but we went there for one of my sons, who really loves this Canadian circus company. My son, who is 12 at the moment of this review, had seen 3 different Cirque Du Soleil shows prior to Crystal. He was thankful of me for taking him to see his 4 Cirque show, as he felt that he was lucky, since many people that are fans really do not get a change in their life time to see this. The show turned out to be fantastic, even since Cirque Du Soleil tried to experiment with an ice-skating show, the final product really did pay off. The music, the characters, and the acts really did bring the atmosphere of any Cirque Du Soleil show. This made for a perfect family road trip, since we live about 2 hours away from Denver, where we saw the show. As a father of two, I really enjoyed every moment with my family, since work has been a main distraction of this experience. But Overall, if you REALLY love Cirque Du Soleil, this is a show that you must see. By the way, my other son, who is 13 at the time of this review, was devastated to hear that we had to travel 2 hours only for a show for his younger, and only, brother. ;)
Cirque du Soleil’s “Crystal” combines the magic of ice skating and acrobatics and it’s a phenomenal combination. 6 of us, including our 7 & 5 y.o. grandchildren were mesmerized and delighted with their production. We loved the story, music and performers who wowed us with their excellent performances. Our grandchildren gave the whole experience 2 thumbs up each. Well worth seeing “Crystal”.
Paid for 2nd row seats and had to endure the whole show with the entire row of seats unsecured to the floor. So when anyone sat down or moved the whole row rocked and felt honestly like we were going to hit the floor. It made for a very uncomfortable time and we were greatly disappointed !
Crystal was filled with the usual acrobatics, clown stunts, and balancing/juggling acts, but on ice. I was hoping and expecting something more original while keeping the traditional magic and mystique of the Cirque. The storyline was good, not great. The skating was good not magical or original. I think this production missed the mark.
