  • Not worth the money

    by Christina1017 on 11/14/17Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

We love Churchill Downs! So for our Anniversary we thought we would go up to the Skye boxes in Millionaire's Row to celebrate. I wasn't impressed at all. When I ordered our tickets I didn't know we would be seated at a small table for 6 people. Also food was spilled all over the floor and some of the table innings were dirty! Lunch was just nothing to write home about. It was just Ok! Chicken was good but just an baked herb chicken. Some type of pork tenderloin mixed in a soupy veggie mix. 2 cold salads but kinda plain. Nothing impressive! When it came to gambling, there was only 2 windows open. If you didn't get into lines as the race was finishing up you didn't get to bet the next races. Needed more windows open! We left that area after a few races and went to the 2nd floor and enjoyed every bit of That! We could have saved our self over $70.00 and brought general admission tickets.

  • Nice day out

by Mmill on 11/14/17Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We love the small venue of The Roses Lounge. It is classy without being a large room. The service and food are always good. There is a nice view of the track with outdoor seats available to enjoy the races.

  • Churchill Downs is beautiful.

Great day at the track. It was cool outside and the Sky Terrace was the perfect way to enjoy the day. The staff did a great job and took great care of my husband and I all afternoon.

  • Boring

    by Pam43 on 11/8/17Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

You really need to go with a large group to entertain yourself between races (30 minutes!).

  • Great time at the track

Our family had a great time at the Halloween Fall Meet Family Day at Churchill. Our 6 and 3 year old loved the face painting and pony rides. And we all enjoyed the races.

  • Family Adventure Day - not the best experience

by LullaL on 11/1/17Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

We shelled out $180 for 9 of us to go to this event. This included programs and food. Was cold that day. Parking was a nightmare. No one knew where the "included lunch" was located. We walked for 1.5 hours from one end to the other and repeatedly. When we finally found our lunch, we were served cold hot dogs, chips and a pop. Not my idea of fun. I wouldn't suggest buying the family pass - buy your lunch. I would also buy preferred parking.

  • great seats but bad table service

by auntiehky on 11/30/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

had to constantly flag down wait staff to get anything - had to go to the bar to get refills or fresh drinks

  • Great Day at Churchill Downs

Always enjoy going to Churchill Downs-first class operation

  • Great day with the family !

by llmcguffin on 11/28/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The food and racing are always great on Black Friday, the only complaint I have is they try to pack too many tables into the room so it is difficult to walk around. The wait staff also had trouble not bumping anyone.

  • Day at the Races Brunch

by DwightFreeman on 11/28/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

My experience was underwhelming. The food was subpar, the service was lackluster, and the ambiance was reminiscent of a cafeteria luncheon being held at a middle school. I, however, enjoyed the horse races, the company of those I attended the event with, and the couple that sat next to us.

  • Turkey and Horses

by Bettor on 11/27/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

It was easy to make reservations although the layout of each specific dining area at Churchill Downs is difficult to decipher online. Tables were conveniently near sliding glass doors on the sixth floor. The balcony provided a great view of the track. This dining room was long and narrow. Betting windows and rest rooms were not convenient to those who sat at the far end of the room. Would not recommend this room on a day of a major turnout of fans as negotiating the room and getting to the betting windows would be difficult. The Thanksgiving lunch display was outstanding and the turkey was the best I've ever had.

  • Fun and Different for the Holiday

    by Drscrna1 on 11/27/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

If you don't want to cook but want good food or just want to shake up the holidays this is it. My family had a table in Sky Terrace. Wonderful meal and enjoyable afternoon watching the races and hanging out. No one lies down to sleep and no one is glued to football. We all talked and laughed and bet on horse for fun.

  • Very nice

by Andrez on 11/23/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We had a ball. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Churchill Downs is always a pleasure.

  • Rose's lounge, great place to watch the races.

by LouCigar on 11/16/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Rose's Lounge at Churchill Downs is a great place to watch the races, but the service was terrible. Tables and chairs are VERY close together, there is nice seating on the outside to watch the races from, pretty close to the finish line. Signs all over the outside say to download the Churchill Downs Racetrack app and you can order from you seat, but once you go through all that you get the message that they are not serving like that right now.

  • Churchill Downs is impressive!

    by TMR5 on 11/15/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sitting in Millionaire's Row is a joy! For no more than you would spend on a good meal, you get to enjoy races, dine on a fantastic buffet and people watch! I would highly recommend Churchill Downs to anyone who likes the horse races or just wants a great day with friends and/or family.

  • Great Day

by SnoopyNina on 11/12/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Sitting in Millionaire's Row (level 4) is a great experience. The service was excellent. The buffet was good but not great. Need more "healthy" items in my opinion. The desserts looked store-bought instead of made-in-house.

  • Great way to spend a day

by alohakathi on 11/11/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was so much fun to watch the races and bet on favorites. The museum is so interesting as well. Churchill Downs has such a place in history of horse racing so it was exciting to be there in person.

  • by Anonymous on 11/8/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

The track was in great shape. We were wanting a fun crowd and a nice bathroom, with a close bar. The crowd was older and rude. The staff at Churchill was awsome but couldn't make up for the other folks. We won't be back.

  • Day at the Downs

by Deansph on 11/8/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We had a blast and the staff at Churchill Downs took great care of us from start to finish

  • very good, but some confusion

by Ponyplayer on 11/3/16Churchill Downs - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I've been to the Stakes Room and Millionaire's Row on a few occasions and it is always enjoyable. For those two rooms, I always thought the food was included with the price, and you have to pay for alcoholic beverages separately. However, when I went to leave this time, there was a lot of confusion over our bar tab. Reason being, the waitress/bartender tried to charge us for everything, food, sodas, coffee, and cocktails. We finally got it worked out but it certainly was a downer to have to provide proof of payment after an otherwise enjoyable day. What a bummer.
