Chris Tomlin Concert Schedule

Chris Tomlin is a singer and songwriter in the Christian music industry, best known for huge hits like "How Great Is Our God" and "Indescribable." His live performances are treated like one big worship time, and fans can expect clear vocals, a strong faith-based message, and a full band accompaniment. Tomlin's tours include the 2018 Worship Night in America Tour, the 2017 Chris Tomlin Christmas Tour, the 2007 How Great Is Our God Tour, the 2010 Hello Tomlin Tour, the All Things New Tour and various tours with Passion Conferences. Some of his biggest accomplishments have been winning a Grammy for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for And If Our God Is For Us... in 2012 and dozens of nominations and wins at the GMA Dove Awards. Tomlin also won Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Song at the Billboard Music Awards in 2011.

Chris Tomlin Background

Chris Tomlin was born the town of Grand Saline, Texas, on May 4, 1972. He was the oldest of three boys, and his father was the first person to introduce him to music when he gave him his first guitar. Tomlin started writing his own worship music at the young age of 14. He went to college at Texas A&M University to study physical therapy but continued to work as a worship leader at area youth conferences. In 1997, pastor and motivation speaker Louie Giglio asked Tomlin to work with Passion Conferences -- a Christian organization targeted at young adults -- and that's where his Christian music career really began. His first solo album was released in 2001, and he has had several songs hit the top of the Christian Copyright Licensing International charts. He keeps a fairly private family life, but fans can connect with him on Twitter @ christomlin

    Hello Tonight Tour - Amazing

by Azurewolf on 7/17/10Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

Amazing concert. It was awesome to be in the midst of thousands of fellow Christians and worship. With Chris Tomlin as the worship leader it was an amazing experience. Then to have Toby Mac come and pump up the party, wow. Two completely different styles but they worked well together. I truly enjoyed myself.

This concert was awesome! I drove 3 hours to see and worship with them. I was actually surprised the place wasn't packed. An unforgettable experience!

Chris Tomlin and Toby Mac were incredible!

by shellyanna on 7/4/10Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

The concert started out with Chris Tomlin leading us with some awesome worship music. It was exactly what I needed that night! Then Toby Mac rocked us :) He has such a high energy style that's so contagious! I thought it was perfect to start with Chris Tomlin's quieter and more traditional style and then end with Toby Mac's high energy rockin style full of antics and fun. And I loved the very end when they came together for a couple of songs. It was an amazing night!

    What an awesome combination

by blondechicky on 7/3/10Verizon Arena (formerly Alltel Arena) - North Little Rock

When I first saw the Chris Tomlin (praise) and TobyMac (hip-hop) were touring together---I was confused. Such different styles. But it was amazing....Chris got you in the HIS presence while Toby wowed the house with his high energy style. I noticed there were people who came for Chris and left, and some that came in for Toby...but the majority stayed for both shows!!!

I took my grandaughter to the concert and it was great. We both enjoyed it immensely. I hadn't seen Chris Tomlin in concert before, but he was superb. I have seen TobyMach before and he never fails to amaze me.

I really enjoyed the worship music that Chris sang. I cant wait to hear him next month at Student Life camp! I am not a huge TobyMac fan however...He put on too much of a show for my taste.

    Chris Tomlin was Wonderful

by antonio1021 on 6/29/10Verizon Arena (formerly Alltel Arena) - North Little Rock

We attended this event because Chris Tomlin is my fiance's favorite artist and his music got her through some of the roughest times of her life. We absolutely LOVED his section of the concert! As for Chris Tomlin, I give him 5 stars but the addition of TobyMac dropped it to 3. TobyMac was an utter disappointment. I own a local business where we play pop and AT40 music. I am forced in this modern day and age to have to edit the music. I tell you this because TobyMac's concert felt more like a club event instead of a spiritual experience. I especially disliked his inclusion of music with which I knew the words to because of the editing I have to do. I know that it was edited there as well, but the premise of using that music is absolutely appalling. We actually left when TobyMac started his "Pants on the Ground" ignorance.

I think Chris stole the show - would have loved if he played longer. Played just over an hour only. Incredible seeing hands lifted high to Jesus all over the arena. World class praise and worship. Chris is very humble and gives God all the Glory. First time seeing TobyMac. He has some solid, radio-friendly songs, but the rap and general loudness (can't understand the words he says) did not captivate me. Would prefer Chris headlining w/ a similar praise and worship artist opening up.

    Hello Tonight Rocked!!!!

by type1momx2 on 6/26/10Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

The concert was amazing. Loved every minute of it, and felt like it was worth every penny spent on tickets for myself and my two young daughters. We were dancing and singing and praising God! TobyMac and his Diverse City band worked incredibly hard to give us everything they had - they were dancing, jumping around on stage, using many different instruments and voices, and kept engaging the audience to get on our feet and participate. His female vocalist is beautiful and spiritual and has a great voice. They have a beautiful message of peace and brotherhood among all people in this world as all children of God. Love that!! They use all kinds of music, too - reggae, funk, hip-hop, etc.

This was a great time of worship with Chris Tomlin. Toby's show was great, loud and fun for the whole family! Would stongly recommend this show to any Christian family. For some reason when I bought the ticket, I thought Chris was the main show, so I was bummed that we didn't hear more from the Hello Love CD. No the less it was a great time of praising the Lord!

The seats were great. The sound was exceptional. The crowd was as much a part of the experience as the music itself.

by Withthekids2222 on 6/26/10Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

This concert was a beautiful mix of worship and praise that spanned generations. How awesome to be able to lift our voices with a greater purpose of glorifying God and honoring Jesus Christ. Truly a family event. Unforgettable.

Chris put on an excellent show, Toby rocked the house as always. This was my son's (age 15) first time to see Toby Mac in concert and when it was over, he told me that he wanted to go to all of his concerts! Just wish the crowd could have had more time with Toby Mac instead of waiting for 25 minutes for the stage to have to be changed.

by JCfreak on 6/25/10Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

Chris was great! Love his music, great message throughout the set. TOBY MAC!!! What a show! His show was high energy. Did not know much about him, was pleasantly surprised by the electricity and the show his 10 piece band put on. If you have the chance, go see him. He got the arena jumpin!!
