Chris Tomlin Background
Chris Tomlin was born the town of Grand Saline, Texas, on May 4, 1972. He was the oldest of three boys, and his father was the first person to introduce him to music when he gave him his first guitar. Tomlin started writing his own worship music at the young age of 14. He went to college at Texas A&M University to study physical therapy but continued to work as a worship leader at area youth conferences. In 1997, pastor and motivation speaker Louie Giglio asked Tomlin to work with Passion Conferences -- a Christian organization targeted at young adults -- and that's where his Christian music career really began. His first solo album was released in 2001, and he has had several songs hit the top of the Christian Copyright Licensing International charts. He keeps a fairly private family life, but fans can connect with him on Twitter @ christomlin
Chris Tomlin did an incredible job, and I can't wait to see him again!!
This was an amazing concert. I have been to many concerts...more "non-christian" than christian...and this was off the hook. Chris Tomlin is a gifted songwriter and worship leader...and Toby Mac is also an amazing songwriter and an incredible performer. This is an excellent pairing of very different musical styles and I can't help but believe that this is a great example of the kind of "bridge building" that the Church needs to do.
Two really different styles, but it worked. I really enjoyed both Chris and TobyMac. Great job guys!
Hands down the best concert or worship I've ever seen.
Everything about the night was awesome! The fans were great, and courteous. Chris Tomlin, in my opinion stole the show. Toby Mac just didn't lift my spirits like Tomlin did. Tomlin just has the Spirit in him, and it shows. I would go see both of them again. Words just can't describe the feelings I left with.
Chris Tomlin came out first and was amazing for quite a few songs. Then after a break TobyMac rocked the house for a lonnnnnnng time...even telling Little Rock to pull your pants up with Pants on the Ground! Jesus Freak rocked the encore.
Excellent concert. Chris Tomlin and Tobymac presented with a lot of energy and really moved me spiritually
I enjoyed the whole show from start to finish.I'd gladly go see them again in future if they were to come back through the area.Be it together of separate
My son and I think TobyMac is the BEST so when we heard he was coming my son suggested it would be a great birthday gift for each of us. He turned 10 on June 12 and my birthday is June 28. The concert was absolutely amazing!! When we left we couldn't decide who we liked better, so now we have two favorites, TobyMac AND Chris Tomlin!
This concert was amazing! I absolutely loved Chris Tomlin and my children loved watching TobyMac. If either of these artist ever come back to Verizon Arena we will definately be there!! Thanks for an amazing night!
Great show! Possibly the best tobymac concert I've ever been to.
the only way to descrbibe Chris and Toby is Awesome. it truly was a night of power and praise!! if you have an opportunity to go you should most definately find a way!
Chris Tomlin was awesome, definitely very Spirit filled and uplifting. I know the songs, but it was neat having the words displayed for all to see. Toby was good but way to loud. Can't blame him that I went with a migraine, but the volume didn't help. I really like a lot of his music-but I guess at home so I can set the volume and understand the words more. It would have been a whole lot more enjoyable without the headache. Thanks so much for using your talents for the Lord and sharing an awesome night with us in Little Rock. God Bless each of you.
Such a great thing to see so many Christians all worshiping in one accord. Chris and Tobymac rocked it out!
Chris has such an awesome gift of words. His worship service is an awesome one to be apart of. God is great! I felt really blessed just to be apart of such an event. Toby knows how to have a good, fun time worshiping the Lord. His songs are true and he doesn't put up any kind of front. He is who he is and he's trying just as hard as we are to live the way God wants us to live. His show are energetic and tiring. I just thought I was tired after Chris leading worship. Toby really brought down the house... If you're not a regular concert goer bring your ear plugs. Your chest will rattle from the bass...
Chris Tomlin led in excellent worship giving honor where it is due - to Jesus. tobyMac was very entertaining.
Chris Tomlin & TobyMac at Verizon Arena was absolutely amazing. You get the best of both worlds of praise and worship.
The Chris Tomlin, Toby Mac concert was the most awesome worship and praise time I have been in awhile. The music just made you want to praise God in the most high. Hope that they come again very soon.
It was awesome! First chris tomlin came to the stage & song some of his favorite songs like Jesus Messiah, How Great Is Our God, Your Grace Is Enough, so much more. Tobymac & The Diversity Band was sweet! It was a praise party & some of the songs he song was: Lose My Soul(my fav. song), Boomin', Diverse City, Jesus Freak, Gone, J Train, Made To Love, No Ordinary Love, & Catahafire(Whoopsi-Dasiy).
It was an incredible night!!! The music was a little too loud to hear the lyrics but it was really fun!!!
