ABOUT CHRIS ROCK

Lauded by peers and critics alike, Chris Rock is one of our generation's strongest comedic voices. With a career spanning more than three decades, Rock has enjoyed ongoing success in both film and television as a comedian, actor, writer, producer and director.

Rock recently wrapped production on the upcoming Higher Ground produced biopic, "Rustin ". He can currently be seen in David O'Russell's Amsterdam and Sally Potter's short film, Look At Me. He is set to direct an Untitled Chris Rock project in 2023.

In 2021 Rock starred as Loy Cannon in season 4 of FX's Emmy-winning drama series "Fargo."  He also teamed up with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures in the reimagining of the newest Saw franchise movie, "Spiral," in which he produced and starred in. His most recent standup special, "Total Blackout: The Tamborine Extended Cut," is currently streaming on Netflix.

In 2014 he led the ensemble cast of "Top Five," a critically acclaimed comedy feature that he also wrote and directed. In 2009 Rock ventured into the documentary world as a writer and producer of "Good Hair," and in 2014 he executive produced "Eat Drink Laugh: The Story of the Comic Strip," a documentary recounting the history of one of New York's most famous comedy venues.  His feature acting credits include The Week Of, the Grown Ups and Madagascar franchises, 2 Days in New York, Death at a Funeral, Nurse Betty, Dogma, the hip-hop comedy CB4, and New Jack City.

In 2011, Rock made his Broadway debut starring in Stephen Adly Guirgis's The Motherf**ker With The Hat.

Rock has won four Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards, and is a New York Times Best-Selling Author. OUTSTANDING

by CCPeru on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

Great show, I will pay again to see Chappelle and Rock (and their 2 opening acts). Definitely not for sensitive people, but you will laugh so hard you’ll get a facelift. Money well spent and the no cell phone policy, BRILLIANT!

    Opening was the best

by Skiranger01 on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

6.5 rating, it wasn’t that they were bad, it’s that they weren’t good. The end was off, Chappelle was toasted talking about Memphis, then instead of realizing he was in the wrong area made it political. Oh well, check that one off the list.

    Great show, but pricey

by Let’s go Brandon on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

Great show! Rock was funnier than Chapelle, which was a surprise. Only negative was cost. $200 per ticket for upper deck. Beers were $14 each. Other than that, it was a great show with lots of laughs.

by G$ on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

I went to see Dave live for the first time ever. I've loved all his Netflix specials and The Chappelle Show over the years. I think it was a bit subpar for Dave for this performance, not his best night. Chris Rock was a bonus when I first saw the show advertised and he MADE the night for me and my wife. Exceptionally good! Rick was alright. Donnell was good and I know him from the Chappelle Show, I enjoyed him.

Comedy Show Live with Dave Chappell and Chris Rock

by Tracy on 1/30/23Legacy Arena at The BJCC - Birmingham

Great overall experience. I wasn’t able to receive deck parking when ordering my ticket due to all decks were full. This didn’t discourage me, I was able to park a block up on the street for free!!! I received the 25.00 pass to enter early, this is a great investment. I arrived at B2 entry door at 6 and was let in after showing my purchased ticket and early entry pass. Then a quick security check occurred and I entered the room with nice seating, bar and food. You could chill there until the doors opened for seating in the arena. The 2 comedians prior to Chris Rock’s entry were very funny. Chris Rock came out and addressed the Will Smith Slap in his comedic way. His show was hilarious. Glad he took the time to address the elephant in the room (Will Smith). Then Dave Chappell came out, when I say this comedian and talk about some very sensitive topics and have you laughing to it. This take art‼️ The show started at 7:50 and ended around 10:50. It was a great experience. I recommend going to see them and I would pay to see the show again. 10 out of 10

    Waste of $600

by BG74 on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

Arrived an hour early and still not a single place to park. Drove around until the show was halfway over and then gave up, as did many others. There was literally no direction and we waited in endless lines of cars only to find every lot full. Never got to see the show at all.

    laughter in a bobble

by Johnny onda stick on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

The show was sold out. The process of getting everyone in the building was extremely smooth. It didn't matter where your seating was, laughter was bouncing from wall to wall. I laugh from start to finish. Dave was even willing to received questions and jokes from the audience. Dave really made everyone comfortable. When Dave tells his jokes, he brings you in so close that the jokes now becomes a movie in your head. that's what I called is talent. I enjoy myself it was the best show I've went to in years. Thanks Dave Chapelle and friends for bringing love and laughter to my city, Charleston.

    Hilarious Show; Horrible Coliseum Experience

by AH on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

Comedians were GREAT but the Coliseum needs to get it together! Parking was an absolute nightmare - the infrastructure needs to be upgraded and more parking attendants/police need to be employed for a sold out show. It took us 1 1/2 hours to get from 26 to the parking garage, and when we got there, the garage was full. Same problem leaving. Once inside, the scene did not get any better. To pay upwards of $250 per ticket and have to deal with parking disasters and 45 minute beer lines is beyond frustrating to say the least. Luckily, Rock and Chappelle are masters and made us laugh from start to finish. Which was a big task given most people came in upset and flustered after dealing with the Coliseum's inabilities to get us in and out quickly and with ease. Come on North Charleston - you have to do better!

    Beyond Amazing!!!!

by Julianne on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

Everything about this experience - and it was an EXPERIENCE not just a show - was amazing and worth every penny! Everything from the security and ease of locking up my phone to the ushers directing people to their seats to the speed of the souvenir personnel was easy and professional. And the performances were the beat that I have every seen!! It was a phenomenal performance by all four comedians and everything I had hoped it would be and then some! 🎉💗

by Augel on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

The best show I have been to. They were both hilarious. They are just naturally funny even when talking about real life stuff. It was well worth the money spent. I'd do it again.

    Amazing show!

by Shae on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

The show was amazing! I laughed so much with each comedian and we didn't have to wait too long for them to come out. They engaged with the audience and the DJ kept us entertained before the show and in between.

    Great show. TERRIBLE entrance procedures.

by knw on 1/30/23North Charleston Coliseum - North Charleston

The show was fun. Unfortunately we had to stand outside for over an hour, and missed part of the show, due to the debacle at the entrance. If you're going to require everyone to put their phone in a locked bag (which is annoying enough just on face value), please at least be properly prepared for it!
