    Best show I’ve ever seen

by CCS on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Chris was SO good and I’d see him again and again. Dave is an icon and I’d see him again for sure. Mos Def was such a cool surprise and brought up the energy. I LOVE the seats and venue…once I got in but come on San Diego, figure it out! This is the second time I’ve seen a great show in a beautiful venue but I may never go back again. Reserved paid parking full🤬, sat 1 mile from the venue dead stopped and 1/2 hr drive took 2 1/2 hrs to get in seats. Next time I’ll go see them in Vegas. Kick ass show though👍🏼

    Great show

by Quincy on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Everything was great. The only thing I would change differently would be the floor seat arrangements. The seats were locked together and in my experience I had a wider gentleman next to me. It would have been nice to have a little more space laterally. Also maybe when purchasing tickets if people need special accommodations, leave a box for them. I had a gentleman with seat cushions in front of me that raised him up about 4 to 5 inches. It was obstructing the view of guest behind him; me being one of those people.

    10 STARS

by Dee on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

This show was off the chain! I knew it would be great, but the special guests was the icing on the cake. Flavor Flav on the mic with his old school beats brought back some memories.

    Long waits

by Rox on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

The show was great couldn’t stop laughing, getting to and into the venue was a nightmare. Took us an hour and 20 minutes to travel 1.2 miles to get to the venue, almost no parking. Getting into venue was unorganized. I would definitely see Chris & Dave again just not ever at that Viejas Arena we missed all Opening acts.

    Unorganized event

by Unorganized experience on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

There were no lines to get into the venue. Just felt like a herd of cattle being pushed through the phone lock up area. I presented my phone and the lady said that my tickets were not scanned in and wanted me to funnel back into the herd. Then when finally inside the lines were the same at the concession stand. Waited about 30 minutes in line to order a beer and snacks, then the register lady asked me for my alcohol stamp which I never got one. Had to wave a blue jacket wearing personnel to card me. Finally got to my seat which was very difficult seat rows aren't lit up very well and seats are tiny. Mos def performance would have been better if the audio wasn't messed up. Just in all poor experience and which I wouldn't have spent the money. Saw chapelle at the Hollywood bowl couple months back and had a way better experience.

    Traffic sucks. Show top notch

by Geez on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Took 2.5 hours to get to the event and park. The traffic control made things worst by closing off the only turning lane to the parking structure. They did a poor job of directing cars and almost everyone was late. The show itself was top notch! Great atmosphere. Huge fan of both Chris and Dave and got tot say…Chris bodied Dave tonight. He brought it lol

    The Sound

by K. P. on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

The area needs a sound man. Hard to understand the comedians with so much reverb/echo. When Black Star came out it was even worse. Sounded like a great $5 boom box with a blown speaker.

    Cool show, but long

by Ivan H on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Donnell Rawlings good but not great, Rick Ingraham fresh and very good!, no offense but the Mos Def and the other rapper’s act was unnecessary. Chris Rock was AWESOME and Dave Chappelle good but he was in my opinion a little complacent. Not too much effort. I would remove Rawlings and the rappers from the act as openers because by the time Dave comes on stage you have been on your seat for 2+ hours. Ouch!

Generally Good Back Ached for Days

by Malcolm on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Don't ever get tickets in the upper rows at SDSU. The seating is horrible. Chris Rock was great, Dave just killed time and like the last time I saw him, he was just wanting to get it over with. I'm surprised he was even on time this time. White guy was actually the funniest comic that night. Rap show sucked.

Chris Rock was great and Dave Chappelle a disappointment

    by Sheepdog Mama on 12/2/22

I love both comedians equally and have seen Chris Rock solo in concert previously. I've watched every single TV special of both men, and they are my favorites. Chris Rock had memorable jokes that will be in my head for months. It was obvious the effort he put into his performance. The last event of the evening was Dave Chappelle, and I'm sorry to say it was underwhelming. My son felt similarly. I would be speculating to suggest why he was not so funny and not so great this particular evening. It certainly didn't seem like a performance created to entertain a crowed of 10,000 people. He is so talented. His social commentary is often subtle but on target. The content of the performance tonight was a dud. Needs almost a total rewrite. If tonight's performance was all I knew about Dave, I wouldn't be a fan.
