About

CHRIS BOTTI IN CONCERT:

Trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti has made a lasting impression on his audiences ever since his first touring gig with Frank Sinatra in the '80s. The trumpeter's style and grace can't be matched as he fills the room with the sounds of his 1939 Handcraft brass trumpet, spellbinding audiences with the instrument's rich tones. The Grammy Award winner has played with a number of legendary artists including Sting and Andrea Bocelli, captivating audiences with signature hits like "Regroovable" alongside classics like "Ave Maria." Chris Botti never fails to disappoint, and he's sure to take fans on a musical journey they won't soon forget with his string of 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Influenced by his mother's musical background, Chris Botti began playing the trumpet at age nine, but it wasn't until he heard the classic Miles Davis track "My Funny Valentine" several years later that he decided to pursue a career in music. During his senior year at Indiana University, Botti toured with Frank Sinatra, which led to a number of gigs with famous artists like Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Since then, he's released ten studio albums — seven have reached Top 10 spots on the Billboard Jazz chart — and sold three million records. He's also been the host of the radio show Chill With Chris Botti and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra alongside John Mayer, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma. Back on the road in 2014, the trumpet virtuoso is set to captivate fans on his highly anticipated world tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Chris Botti and his group are the best of the best in the arena of ultra-talented musicians. Of course the handsome man with the horn never lets his audience down. Even though he performs 300 days a year, he gives the audience his all as though it's one show just for them."

"Not only does Chris Botti shine with his talents, he has top notch musicians and a singer to make it an overall outstanding, entertaining evening. ...will definitely try to see the next show!"

"Chris Botti was charming in relating to the audience, and put on a spectacular display of musicianship. He's one of, if not the best, at his craft."

  • Chris Botti @ Green Valley Ranch

by Dude on 10/21/24Green Valley Ranch Grand Events Center - HendersonRating: 4 out of 5

Chris Botti, his band, and the guest musicians were fabulous. However, the volume was so loud that it was uncomfortable enough for some people to leave. I wish that I had brought ear plugs

I have been waiting to see him. Took my boyfriend and he is hooked. He was singing afterwards. I did want him to play more old stuff. But with a new CD out I get it.

We have seen Chris Botti before, but this is without question the BEST concert we have seen him perform! If you didn't have a good time, it wasn't Chris and his band, it's YOU! Can't wait to see him again! And the venue is perfect for his show! Well done as always!!

  • Wow!

by Smiles on 10/5/24The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third Chris Botti concert my friends and I have attended. All 3 concerts were excellent, but this one at The Factory was our favorite. Chris is always great, and we really enjoyed both vocalists, the violinist and members of the band.

  • It could have been better!

by Bill C on 9/25/24The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 3 out of 5

I attended the Chris Botti concert on Sunday Sept 22 at the Factory in Chesterfield MO. Overall I thought everything was handled very professionally. My complaint or criticism is made on a couple of items. For the price I paid for the tickets the comfort of the seating was terrible. Very uncomfortable and the rows were too close together. My seats were close to an isle and as people came into auditorium and had more center seats in a row these folks had to crawl over me and my guest to get to their seats. This happened numerous times. Knowing the previous attendance #'s of Chis Botti concerts the seat count could have been cut back and more spacing between rows should have been increased. The music was outstanding but having all instruments with electronic feeds the volume was set much too high for an acoustic/instrumental vs vocal concert. Yes there were vocals to a small amount but 95% was instrumental. With such a large sound system the sound board should have been more balanced and volumned down. Botti's music would have been much more enjoyable.

  • Amazing Show!

by Sher K on 9/23/24Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti is not only an amazing trumpet player, he also knows how to put on a show. He featured his new album while at the same time he provided a lot of musical variety, and included some super-talented guest musicians/soloists. Plus, all of his band members are incredible. I didn't want the concert to end.

The show was awesome as usual by Chris Botti. He shares the stage freely and unselfishly with upcoming artists. I salute Chris for that.
