CHRIS BOTTI IN CONCERT:
Trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti has made a lasting impression on his audiences ever since his first touring gig with Frank Sinatra in the '80s. The trumpeter's style and grace can't be matched as he fills the room with the sounds of his 1939 Handcraft brass trumpet, spellbinding audiences with the instrument's rich tones. The Grammy Award winner has played with a number of legendary artists including Sting and Andrea Bocelli, captivating audiences with signature hits like "Regroovable" alongside classics like "Ave Maria." Chris Botti never fails to disappoint, and he's sure to take fans on a musical journey they won't soon forget with his string of 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Influenced by his mother's musical background, Chris Botti began playing the trumpet at age nine, but it wasn't until he heard the classic Miles Davis track "My Funny Valentine" several years later that he decided to pursue a career in music. During his senior year at Indiana University, Botti toured with Frank Sinatra, which led to a number of gigs with famous artists like Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Since then, he's released ten studio albums — seven have reached Top 10 spots on the Billboard Jazz chart — and sold three million records. He's also been the host of the radio show Chill With Chris Botti and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra alongside John Mayer, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma. Back on the road in 2014, the trumpet virtuoso is set to captivate fans on his highly anticipated world tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Chris Botti and his group are the best of the best in the arena of ultra-talented musicians. Of course the handsome man with the horn never lets his audience down. Even though he performs 300 days a year, he gives the audience his all as though it's one show just for them."
"Not only does Chris Botti shine with his talents, he has top notch musicians and a singer to make it an overall outstanding, entertaining evening. ...will definitely try to see the next show!"
"Chris Botti was charming in relating to the audience, and put on a spectacular display of musicianship. He's one of, if not the best, at his craft."

Great Performer a classic in the making...always a great venue
LOVED BOTH BOTTI AND HIS GROUP. THE THEATRE IS PHENOMINAL.
Chris put on a really great show! Nothing could have been better than the performance. My only complaint was with the venue/staff. It took an incredibly long time to be seated. We actually missed at least three numbers waiting on the stairs, barely hearing and not seeing the stage. and the usher just pointed to where our seats were from the bottom of the aisle.
Chris Botti is a great musician and a great guy in real life. His band has great musicians he has handpicked himself. His show was as expected great with all the favorite songs fom his lateast Cd/DVD. If anything i would have loved to see a couple more guests if possible. Chris is a great showman and a funny one too as entertains the audience throughout his show with his special humor.
Not only Chris Botti's play but other players were all exquisite!!! Also Chris Botti's talk was so nice that made it feel homey. Though,,,,,, only one thing that annoyed me is that many people come and leave while his play and it distracted me a lot.....
Had a great time. He was amazing!!! Co=stars were also great.
Chris Botti is tremendously talented and fabulous! He's funny and engaging. He had anecdotes between songs and he plays with such passion! I like his music but i love his live performances even more!
Botti and his band was amazing as usual. Of course I also go to see Lucia, his amazing violinist!!!!
Chris was phenomenal and conjured up every possible emotion with the ease of a true maestro and the venue was awesome.
The Beacon is a wonderful venue and Chris Botti is by far the best trumpet player I have ever heard. I have heard Nicholas Payton, Wynton Marsalis, etc., but Botti has an incredibly smooth sound.
A sensational evening with the superb Chris Botti. His personable nature and brilliant talent combine to enthrall every listener.
The two hours seemed like 20 minutes. We loved everything about the show.
Totally pleased with the performance. Chris Botti is the real deal and the group of musicians he puts together are top notch.
Chris' concert at The Beacon was,as always, for me, a truly magical event.Once again he proved himself to be amazing dedicated professional, who has his finger on the pulse of his audience. There was something for everyone to enjoy. Highlights for me are always the duets with Chris and Lucia. The romantic, bittersweet interplay of their instruments is sublime, and carries one away. I settled back and let the music wash over me and happily let the busyness of my NYC life receed into the backround for 2 wonderful hours. Besides the haunting music of his horn, Chris on stage shows us his multi-faceted persona-his intelligence, sensitivity, humor and natural charm that add so much to the performance, and give us a glimpse of the man behind his music . He is a bright light that brings so much beauty to our world with his music. And lastly, a bonus to the evening, Chris once again showed his appreciation for the audience, by graciou sly staying after the concert to say a quick hello and sign Cd's for us, his devoted fans. He remains accessible to his public and we appreciate him and love him in return for that (it was a VERY, very , long line!). I can't wait for another "CHRIS FIX", December at THE BLUE NOTE is too far off! Bring Chris back to THE BEACON soon!Gratefully, Leo Lady.
Love Chris Botti and everyone of his band members! Mark Whitfield, Billy Kilson, Tim LeFebvre, William Childs, Lucia Micarelli, & Sy Smith!! I have seen Chris 7 times in 7 months and am always in awe. He is charismatic, stunning and amazingly talented. To hear Botti play his 1939 trumpet, it to hear love being made in the air. He moves my soul when I listen to his music. A Thousand Kisses Deep...
It was my first concert and I went with my dad. And although we were at least ten minutes late due to some complications with parking, it was...absolutely the best experience of my life. I say that because one I love Chris Botti and the soulful way he plays his trumpet. Second, I'd never been to the Beacon Theater--it was beautiful. And third, it was with my dad who influenced me to love Jazz (I'm 15 btw). I'd reccommend this to anyone, the musicians were beyond talented. The music was riveting especially Emmanuel with Lucia Micarelli. That is now one of my all time favorite songs. She's extraodinary. It was also actually very funny. Between songs Chris Botti would keep the mood alive with little stories and jokes. Bottom line it was the best first experience of my life and I will always remember it.
Chris Botti and his musicians did a great job.... Chris is personable and does a wonderful job communicating with the audience. The Beacon Theatre is a superb venue with good restaurants nearby... Chris Botti came into the lobby after the performance to sign posters and CDs.
I have been a huge Chris fan for a long time. I took my girlfriend for our anniversary and now she can't stop listening to him. It was an amazing show in a beautiful venue. Anyone who has never been to Beacon Theatre must go asap.
It was hard to determine what was the greatest star of the evening - Chris Botti or the Beacon Theater. The renovation of the theater is spectacular. The band was extremely entertaining. Chris's interaction with the audience made it seem as if you were sitting in on a private session. The violinist's performance almost brought me to tears it was so beautiful.
