About

CHRIS BOTTI IN CONCERT:

Trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti has made a lasting impression on his audiences ever since his first touring gig with Frank Sinatra in the '80s. The trumpeter's style and grace can't be matched as he fills the room with the sounds of his 1939 Handcraft brass trumpet, spellbinding audiences with the instrument's rich tones. The Grammy Award winner has played with a number of legendary artists including Sting and Andrea Bocelli, captivating audiences with signature hits like "Regroovable" alongside classics like "Ave Maria." Chris Botti never fails to disappoint, and he's sure to take fans on a musical journey they won't soon forget with his string of 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Influenced by his mother's musical background, Chris Botti began playing the trumpet at age nine, but it wasn't until he heard the classic Miles Davis track "My Funny Valentine" several years later that he decided to pursue a career in music. During his senior year at Indiana University, Botti toured with Frank Sinatra, which led to a number of gigs with famous artists like Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Since then, he's released ten studio albums — seven have reached Top 10 spots on the Billboard Jazz chart — and sold three million records. He's also been the host of the radio show Chill With Chris Botti and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra alongside John Mayer, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma. Back on the road in 2014, the trumpet virtuoso is set to captivate fans on his highly anticipated world tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Chris Botti and his group are the best of the best in the arena of ultra-talented musicians. Of course the handsome man with the horn never lets his audience down. Even though he performs 300 days a year, he gives the audience his all as though it's one show just for them."

"Not only does Chris Botti shine with his talents, he has top notch musicians and a singer to make it an overall outstanding, entertaining evening. ...will definitely try to see the next show!"

"Chris Botti was charming in relating to the audience, and put on a spectacular display of musicianship. He's one of, if not the best, at his craft."

  • Awesome concert!

by drdee on 9/25/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - VIRGINIA BEACHRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti put on an awesome show! I love how he brings outstanding talents that you might not be familiar with, along with him, and gives them time and space to shine. Of course he was great as usual himself playing the trumpet. Crowd was really engaged and appreciative for the whole show. I recommend that if you haven't seen one of his shows make sure to attend the next chance you get. Simply great music.

  • INCREDIBLE!!

by A BIG Fan! on 9/24/23Sandler Center For The Performing Arts - VIRGINIA BEACHRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti was amazing, and his band and guest performers played and sang beautifully!! I can’t wait until his new CD comes out in October! Sy is a happening “DJ Wannabe” (her words!)! And Andy (sax), Anastassia (violin), along with his band were just magnificent! I took my adult son, and he even said how much fun he had. The Chris Botti & Friends show was melodic, exciting, upbeat, classic, and memorable! Thank you all!!!

I’ve seen previous Botti concerts that were great. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to one of his concerts due to the pandemic. He was good but there was something lacking. Maybe I’ve been to too many of his concerts and have grown tired of the same presentation. Plus now he’s performing in a t-shirt instead of a crisp suit. Some of the band members were walking off the stage during certain songs. It was visually distracting. Botti needs to add more to the stage presentation to help keep his shows fresh. The show was world class musicians with a phoning it in stage production.

Chris wasn’t as charismatic as seen in the past. Good but not exceptional.

  • Awesome

by Jfro on 9/19/23The Wind Creek Event Center - BethlehemRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Chris Botti five different times at three different locations. He is great at interacting with the crowd and I love how he can play the same song but changes it up. That makes every concert a new experience and he always brings A+ talent with him.

  • Poor Wi-Fi connection

by DO on 9/19/23The Wind Creek Event Center - BethlehemRating: 4 out of 5

Other than the poor Wi-Fi connection everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful and kind while trying to help me find my seat.

  • Outstanding concert!

Fantastic concert with an incredible group of musicians!

  • Was nice, yet longed for more Chris beautiful solos

by Mozee on 9/19/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

The rest of the band and Chris needed to match dressing similar to the lovely violinist. Was expecting more Chris fabulous solos and less guests.

  • Chris's Botti never disappoints!

by Regina D on 9/19/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti always has the best guests, especially Sy Smith, and always gives a great performance. Can't wait for the release of the new music.

  • Awesome Concert

by Great Concert - Botti is Awesome! on 9/19/23Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was awesome the only improvement was it was too loud. We were sitting three quarters of the way back in orchestra and the volume was really too loud.. I have a 19 and 21 year old sons and even they said it was too loud.... really hurt my ears. I don't think it's Chris Botti's fault not sure he can know what the volume is from the stage but this should be monitored better in the future. THANKS for asking our opinion... otherwise all was great.
