About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • SOUNDS GREAT !

by RON SR on 11/4/25St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 5 out of 5

AS USUAL CHICAGO SOUNDED GREAT. THEIR VAST CATALOG OF SONGS IS AMAZING AND THEIR MUSICIANSHIP IS FANTASTIC. THEY FEATURED NOT ONE BUT 4 DIFFERENT LEAD SINGERS ON DIFFERENT TUNES TO MAKE THEM SOUND AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE. HOWEVER , IT WAS SAD TO SEE ,ONLY ONE ORIGINAL MEMBER , LEE LONGHAME IS CURRENTLY STILL PERFORMING WITH THE BAND. OTHERWISE A TRULY ENJOYABLE SHOW.

  • Hit filled show

by Nick D on 11/4/25St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 3 out of 5

Good show but, as is with many of these late 60's acts, only 2 original members left. Robert Lamm was supposed to be touring but was not there. No mention of it. I thought it was strange that they didn't introduce the whole band near the end of the show. The horn section was on the money with the 2 original members plus a sax player. Singing was good for the most part. Nice venue to see them in. I would have given them 3 1/2 stars but not an option.

  • Fantastic

by mikeyups on 11/4/25St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 5 out of 5

They were so spot on. The set list was great. Vocals were outstanding. Tight band. I was brought back to my teenage years. Thats what good music does.

  • Best Band Ever

by Sal G on 11/4/25St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago has been playing for almost 60 years. What else is there to say.

  • Terrific

by Ant on 11/4/25St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 5 out of 5

The experience was just great. I had VIP tickets a meet and greet took a photo with them and they still sound the same today as they did then The concert lasted quite a while, but it was not boring at all terrific. The brass section was excellent as always the singing wonderful they sound the same as they did when they first made this records.

  • Amazing talent

by JoAnn on 11/3/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

The Theatre is beautiful. We loved the smaller venue. We were in Row F so we could experience the exchange between the band members. The energy and sound from the group is high energy and upbeat. I enjoyed seeing the words from the songs displayed behind the group on stage. I was thinking there may have been a few people who are deaf in the audience. How caring to know they can feel the rhythm and beat and read the words. last, for the vert first time I had my tickets on the Ticketmaster app (I was a little nervous). The usher knew I was nervous and he spoke to me with patience and kindness. It worked. Room for improvement parking was difficult.

  • Fantastic musicians!

by tabishop on 11/2/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

Tremendous performance. excellent. We've seen them 6 or more times and they never disappoint. I still wonder why they never pay the full version of feeling stronger every day. Great song all the way through. I wouldn't mind if they played that instead of some of the elevator music from the 80s that I know lots of people enjoy but for me is a major yawn.

  • CHICAGO - ALWAYS EXCEEDS YOUR EXPECTATIONS!

by LadyRanger on 11/2/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

Everyone has their own personal experiences at the concert but as a musician in the business, I certainly study the musicians, the singing & the entire band connecting their music together as one! I assure you that with their successful reputation they will give you their all AS ALWAYS~& MORE I WAS ABLE TO BE MYSELF HAVE A FABULOUS TIME & SHOOT THE VIDEOS for my Show "GET WITH THE PROGRAM" & consequently choose the right song I FELT FOR A MAIN DANCE WHICH THE CROWD ENJOYED - wonder if there's a tape of that - it's the excercise of it which is a 2 for one - I TRY TO GO TO ALL OF THE CONCERTS WHEN THEY ARE IN AREA!!! WHY - JUST GO TO ONE & WITNESS YOURSELF - AGELESS GENTS WITH SENSATIONAL SONGS & MEANING

  • Disappointed

by Jc on 11/2/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 2 out of 5

Been to over 20 Chicago concerts over the years and this was the only one I left disappointed. Don’t know if it was the engineering or mixing but the sound was awful. The band always known for their amazing horns was very underwhelming. The only bright spot was the trumpet he was still amazing. Everyone else was dead and so is Chicago

  • Amazing show

  • Always solid, just missing founders.

by CVFan on 9/19/25Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso RoblesRating: 4 out of 5

A quality show with great sound and always love the music. Neil Donell was strong as the lead singer and Lee Loughnane (original) had an amazing night on horns. The remaining band brought a certain magic in recreating the magic of Chicago! Just missing more of the originals but that happens over time.

  • 20 minute intermission

by Saturday in the Park on 9/17/25Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso RoblesRating: 3 out of 5

Took my 24 year old daughter to hear Saturday in the Park live. We left without hearing it. The band sounded great but took a 20 minute intermission 30-40 minutes in. The concert started at 8. We left at 10. Never heard our song.

  • Pretty good, but

by Aronya1 on 9/15/25The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park - San DiegoRating: 4 out of 5

The band was really good, as you would expect from a group with decades of experience and a huge catalog. The Rady shell is cool, and the sound system is terrific, though the volume was kept kind of low. I only have 2 real complaints, and they are what will prevent me from going back to this venue. 1- The seating. The chairs are great for folding chairs. But the ground has very little incline to it, so if you're on the shorter side or get a bigger person in front of you, the view is going to be poor. I'm not short, but happened to get a big guy in front of me - with a hat. My wife, who IS short, got his partner; also on the larger side. Luckily for us, Chicago doesn't put on much of a show, visually, so watching the screens to the side was at least something. 2nd - The parking. $45 is just ridiculous. Ticketmaster could have at least warned people ahead of time, so we could tap into that HELOC we took out. Bottom line: you may get stuck paying somebody's house payment to park, but go early, bring a folding chair or two and some food, and sit along the water outside the venue. The sound is fine AND you can see the stage. This is the only way I'd go back.

  • Disappointing

by Kat on 9/15/25The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park - San DiegoRating: 3 out of 5

We made the trip to San Diego specifically for the concert. While the city and venue were amazing, the concert was disappointing. It was like a tribute band, not the real group. I love the band Chicago and have seen them more times than I can count. This, sadly, will most likely be my last time.

  • You won't be disappointed, their GREAT!

by SuzieQ on 9/13/25Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso RoblesRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicago concert couldn't have been better. I have looked forward to hearing them for years & I wasn't disappointed one bit! I can't wait for the next one!

A trip down memory lane. The band is as good as ever !
