About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Great concert.

by Srd on 11/10/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

I have to say I was excited for this concert because I have listened to Chicago as a kid and never in my life did I think I would be seeing them live in concert. We're all the original band members there no but they have the same sound that I remembered as a kid. It was amazing. The venue had great view so even near the opposite side of the arena I had a good view of the band. I'm sure if they make another stop close by I'll have to get tickets again loved this concert.

It was a great concert! Sounded the same as 40 plus years ago!

  • Incredible Concert

by Phil J on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the band’s hits being 40-50+ years ago. These guys remain absolutely true to their music and legacy. The songs sounded exactly like I remember them. The band was entertaining, harmonized perfectly, and the brass was fantastic. Go see them. You will love it.

  • Outstanding Show

by T.J. on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

I was very impressed with the energy and quality of their performance. All ten members of the band were spot on. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. It was a very great evening.

  • A Play On Songs/Words

by Ronny-O on 11/9/25UPMC Events Center - Moon TownshipRating: 5 out of 5

For my entire life, I've been "Searchin' So Long"for tickets to a Chicago performance and after not being able to obtain any for this show, I apologized to my Wife by telling her it's "Hard To Say I'm Sorry"and "Will You Still Love Me"even though I had failed to come through. I'll state for the record that "I'm A Man"and can't even begin to count the number of times over the years, that I've said to My Mrs., "You're The Inspiration"and so proud to be with her. Between "Just You 'N' Me,"I didn't "Really Know What Time It Was"for the "Beginnings"of the concert and furthermore, for special events, I usually had a tendency to arrive late for them, in my "Old Days"which for me, became a "Hard Habit To Break."After having learned of my dilemma and in an effort to "Make Me Smile,"my friend who had arrived at the venue as early as possible, with extra tickets, began a "Dialogue"with me by sending a text stating "Wishing You Were Here,"hoping that my Wife and I could attend the show and "Stay The Night,"which after reading it, I loudly proclaimed to her, "Baby What A Big Surprise!"I was such a "Happy Man"knowing that my friend would "Call On Me"to attend this concert, which turned out to be "Free"for my lovely Wife and I, so we abruptly left for the show and arrived at "25 Or 6 To 4!"

  • Worth the money

  • Awesome Experience

by Luke on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

The band was truly amazing. There are still three original members and they play and sing as well as ever. The show had plenty of energy and all their major hits were sung. There was about two hours of singing. My wife and I had a great time.

  • Chicago blew everyone away!

by Drummer Dan on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago was so dynamic, the horns were right on and the vocals were stellar! The venue was super easy to get into, even with a wheelchair. The seating on the floor was very nice, lots of room, enjoyed it very much!

  • Fanfreakingtastic!

by Linda on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

Even though there was only one original member, they performed great! 58 years strong and we had the best time reliving our memories of Chicago's songs! Loved it!

  • Unbelievable concert

by Arlene on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to MANY concerts in my life, but this was one of the best. And I want to give a shout out to the sound technicians. I've been to concerts where you could only hear drums and guitar and no vocals or balance. These guys did a great job at showcasing the amazing talent that is Chicago. Also, we go to this venue every time there is a concert as we are from Johnstown. The people that they have working the venue are great to deal with and getting into the concert is seamless. The band was perfect and I liked that they did the songs the way we know them and didn't change them. Great job everyone!!!

Saw Chicago several times since the 70's , and I swear they just keep getting better..To be a group of older guys and have the ability and tone that they have is incredible .The horns are phenomenal ..Just an amazing performance

  • Incredible sound!

by bbbananas on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing! This concert brought back so many memories for me. My second date with my husband was his senior prom themed "Colour My World". I music was even better than I remembered it, and I love that they stayed true to the arrangements. Our seats directly faced the stage, and if you have any problem with lights, and moving images, be mindful. The constantly changing, swirling backgrounds and flashing lights bothered both me and my husband. Neurodivergent individuals, this is not the visual show for you. I did love all the images of the band through the years. I kept my eyes shut quite a bit, and just listened. The sound was beyond what I expected.

  • 58 years and still rocking!

by Puckboy66 on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 4 out of 5

Chicago was outstanding! They are masters of their instruments and the vocals and harmonies were fantastic! I’ve seen these guys about 15 times and they never disappoint!

  • Chicago concert was phenomenal

by Jill on 11/9/251st SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial - JohnstownRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Chicago live in concert was on my bucket list. I finally got to see them, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! To say they were outstanding would be a gross understatement. I cannot even put into words how fantastic they sounded. Both the vocals and instrumentals were superb. I felt as though I was back in the 70's and 80's as I listened to them sing hit after hit. Their music took me back to very special times. They performed for nearly three hours, but I could easily have listened to them hours more. What a great night it was! I hope I have the opportunity to see them again, because I would do it in a heartbeat! Bravo!

  • The concert was great !

by Charlie Brown on 11/8/25UPMC Events Center - Moon TownshipRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great ! Getting there was an experience. Maps directions said it would take 35 minutes. We left at almost 6:30 and didn’t get into concert until 8:30. We certainly allowed enough time.. Stuff happens ! We had tickets for section 111 T 13 and 14. The floor was so sticky I almost fell. Two other patrons caught me so I didn’t .. They were so kind that the gentleman held my arm as we were leaving.
