Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

Chicago concert was amazing! Great sound, loved the venue!
EXCELLENT MUSIC COMBINED WITH WONDERFUL VOCALS. THE GROUP DELIVERED A LONG AND WELCOME SHOW
Song after song. Hit after hit. Memories as thick as the air after a summer shower. It’s hard to believe that I saw Chicago in Morgantown West Virginia at the WVU Field House. I believe that they were the first group to play in the new field House back in the early 1970s. It is hard for me to think that it is a 50 year span between concerts for me. It was a great show back then and a better show last Saturday at the Mershon Auditorium. Kudos to the Horn section. They BLOW. The guitarists were awesome. Keyboards were phenominal. Vocals, spot on. Drums and Percussion were excellent. Several members of my family, ages 18 to 75 had an absolutely wonderful time. From Chicago Transit Authority to the 38th album release—a scrapbook of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
From the opening song to the encore, Chicago rocked! The horns were as sharp as ever, and the band played all their favorites! I was so impressed by their energy ( even the original members who are in their 70’s)! They played for almost 3 hours and never seemed to lose their enthusiasm for what they do so well. It was fun watching the video screens showing old pictures from the 60’s and 70’s. I felt like I was back in high school/college, and for the one evening, all the stress of today’s world just melted away. When they came back out and started their encore song, I was disappointed because the concert hadn’t included MY personal favorite: 25 or 6 to 4. Then the guitar started the familiar opening with the horns joining in. I jumped up and joined in the screaming like I was a teenager again! The whole auditorium of 70 year olds were on their feet and rockin’ !!!! What an incredible evening with Chicago!
We saw the group Chicago in November 2025 at Mershon Auditorium on OSU campus. The show was absolutely fantastic. They played all of their hits which we were hoping they would play. The videos and lighting during the performance were great additions to their wonderful span of hits from the 70s and 80s. I would recommend their show and would love to see them again.
We had a great time! Chicago put on a great show! They still got it!
Excellent show, high energy, and a great representation of the band Chicago even though there were only 3 original members.
What a show!! Best concert ive seen in awhile. They really blew me away!!
Sang loud and proud the entire concert! 3rd time I have seen this outstanding band with magnificent horns and voicesa
One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended. Consummate band and great entertainers!
Robert Lamm and James Pankow were not performing at this show and from what I read on the internet it appears they don't have plans to rejoin the band anytime soon due to health issues. Totally understandable given their age, but I was not aware of this when I purchased the ticket or when I went into the show. Without them, and especially without Pankow, the current band seems more like a Chicago tribute band featuring Lee Loughnane. No offense to the trombone player filling in for Pankow, but no one can replicate his sound or stage presence. If you want to hear the hits live one more time this might scratch that itch, but I left feeling unfulfilled with what I heard.
Bring them back soon. Never disappointed as theyare awesome.
All of their best, including the entire Ballet for a Girl from Buchanen with Make Me Smile and Color My World. We've seen them several times before. We liked this show the best.
OMG! The still got it or got it again! The entire audience was in the zone, singing, dancing, swaying! It was absolutely fantastic!
I can’t believe this band is sounding as amazing as it is in its 58th year of existence! Joining the three remaining original members are seven UNBELIEVABLE musicians who are carrying on the iconic Chicago sound with incredible energy and masterful musicianship! I did not expect this level of artistry and was BLOWN AWAY! As a trombonist only a few years younger than Pankow, I was truly inspired to keep playing and enjoy music as long as I can. Thanks so much for a truly memorable evening.
Was a little skeptical …but they were awesome and well beyond any expectations…did not disappoint and still talking about it..they truly love what they do and it shows…highly recommend!
It was a perfect place for a concert and the show was excellent.
The concert was awesome. They sounded great and our seats were amazing! We loved the venue and would definitely go to more concerts there.
I saw them at this same venue in 2019. They are just as good or better. We were not able to sit still in our seats.Total entertainment!
