About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Chicago

by Marcus on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

This was the first concert that I ever attended by myself. Normally my GF handles everything but she was out of town. It was so easy to get the ticket through Ticket Master and just go solo. I was able to get a good seat at floor level just a few days before the concert and at a great price. People were saying to me in the Amphitheater: “You came by yourself?” Why not I said?😂 The staff were helpful and courteous. The food was reasonably priced. The weather was hot that night but there was a nice breeze. In spite of the heat and humidity the band Chicago did nothing but impress the crowd. They played many of their hit songs and saved ‘ 25 or 6 til 4’ as there finale. I was so glad that I went. Thanks Ticket Master

  • What a great show!!

by Papa Santa on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

We went in with high expectations for Brass & Reeds which were met and so much more. What we did not entirely anticipate was the performance at Lead Guitar & Lead Drummer (2nd drummer / Percussion Guy to a VERY SLIGHT lesser extent). They were GREAT!! The show overall was EXCELLENT!!! If you can catch them do it. You won’t be disappointed.

  • One of the best concerts I have ever attended!

by J.D. on 8/1/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Band members were totally engaged the entire time! I could see that they were also having a great time! Chicago is the definition of TRUE MUSICIANS! I was singing and dancing the whole show!

  • Disappointed

by Vivian Craven on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 4 out of 5

Chicago’s performance on a very hot humid evening was wonderful but very disappointed that the premier parking that was purchased with my tickets for the performance was full? when we arrived. Why do you offer paid premier parking and not have enough parking spaces ?

  • fantastic show!!

Totally fantastic show!! Would love to see it again!!

  • Chicago still can play but sound system was terrible

by RockFan on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 3 out of 5

We saw another concert there in June. We found that the traffic going to the arena as well as getting back to 95 was really bad not to mention that the free parking sopposedly as part of the ticket was not available even though we got there early. We ended up being directed to the parking lot in front of the arena which cost $40 to park. So this time we took the train from Norwalk and that worked out very well. Chicago is still a great band but the sound system did a disservice to them. It was way too loud and distorted. As I said, we went to another concert there in June and there was no problem with the sound system. I guess they were using a different sound system.

  • Husbands favorite concert

by Dee on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 4 out of 5

First time at Hartford healthcare amphitheater. Will not be the last despite the extreme heat. Nice facility, great seating, reasonable price and pleasant staff. The Chicago concert was everything we hoped for. Great instrumental, visual displays and Chicago played all their top hits. Pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed the concert. My husband favorite concert ever.

  • Greatest band

by Bonbon on 8/1/25Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

Omg. This show was fabulous. 2 1/2 hours of all their music from the ‘60’s thru today!!! They played the whole side of Chicago II. The organist has a great voice and the three brass instrument players have not lost a breath! Can’t wait to see them again. And this is my 5 th time seeing them

I have been a fan of Chicago for many years and have seen them several times. This show was just as good as I remember them years ago. They played all of their hits and sounded great with their current line up.
