About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Outstanding

by Concertgirl on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago has more songs that you know than you think! The band, although it only has two founding members left, is made up of excellent musicians who know what they are doing and who play with passion and joy. I have seem them several times and even though the setlist remains the same, their performances feel fresh and authentic every time. And they play for about 2 hours so you get your money's worth. I highly recommend this show.

  • Another great evening

by Speech gal on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Chicago a dozen or more times over the years. Started back in college in 1970. They never fail. Always entertaining . I call my family and ask them to go to SPAC with me and it is a family night. Weather was perfect, drinks were good. Music fabulous. Hope they are back so I don't have to drive to Jones Beach.

  • From beginning to the end, all was easy . No concerns

by Heard all their great hits. on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

First, I had a great seat. Weather was perfect, crowd was great too. Heard all of Chicagos tunes.

  • Amazing

by PS on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

It was magical! Chicago didn’t disappoint! Our seats were great! Beautiful relaxed Full moon evening!!

  • No other like them

by Peg on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago is the best band I have been to. I will go to every concert where ever I can. The music and their participation with the audience. I cannot wait to see them again

  • Boys were in fine form: the venue was terrible

by CR on 8/13/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 1 out of 5

Starting with horrendous long lines to get in, having to go through a metal detector (didn't think to have multiple detectors???) Had to start the show late because it took so long to get inside while the fans were standing in 90 degree heat for over an hour to get in. Portable restrooms had no hand sanitizer or portable water stands. Stood in line for overpriced beer only to have the person waiting on us walk away while a whole line stood there. And let's talk about the HORRENDOUS sound quality of an aging venue that needs to be knocked down and replaced by a state of the art facility. What a disgrace! Chicago the band and the fans deserve better.

  • Chicago at SPAC August 10 2025

by John C on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

The best Chicago in several years. I very much appreciate Chicago alone with the full 2 hour concert. The singing was the best I have seen and heard for many years. I have been at SPAC for Chicago for many consecutive years. Keep it going..

  • Major Disappointment due to sound mix

by Paul F. on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

The sound mix indoors was very bad: vocals incomprehensible and often inaudible due to being overpowered by keyboard drone and rest of band. Solo instruments difficult to discern from high noise level of others. Overall a huge disappointment, as was our last inside seating experience at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Lawn seating sound seems to be better.

  • Wonderful night with Chicago

by Martha E on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show!! Our biggest issue with SPAC is the parking. I don’t understand why they don’t open all the parking spots earlier. They ship everyone over to the route 50 parking. The night of Chicago the first parking in the field was open early & free!! I’ve never experienced that but it was a nice surprise. We had great seats and as usual Chicago put on a phenomenal show!! Beautiful weather and an absolute enjoyable night.

  • Enjoyed it very much

by Na on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Very good. Love that they played as long as they did. So worth it

  • Great Sound

by DeFran55 on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Great seating area with full view of the band. I became a fan as soon as I heard their 1st song so many years ago. I just can't believe they sound as good as they did when they were much younger. GREAT SOUND!

  • Smart Phone Tickets Suck. Go back to Paper.

by Fluff on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 1 out of 5

Chicago was fabulous. The band is album tight! Alot of fun. Ticketmaster's smart phone check-in causes massive delays getting thru the gates. The band's older fanbase are not tech savvy. Many of these people don't have modern phones. I had all four tickets on my phone. If anyone left their seat, they would have to take my phone to come back. I now see why most concerts are poorly attended. This is the last time I purchase tickets thru Ticketmaster. Bring back the ability to print out a paper ticket, or ticket sales will continue to drop!

  • Great band! I would see them again!

by Rgonza49 on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago was fabulous and extremely entertaining from beginning to end. I love that the whole show was just them performing and no other band. If they come back to SPAC, I would go again!

  • Not a fan of Live Nation

by TW on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

Performers and actual concert was great. What I have an issue with is the bots that are allowed to buy tickets and drive up prices exponentially and nothing seems to be done to try to correct this. Also the venue where the concert was held has a lawn section where you're allowed to bring your own chairs... except when it's a Live Nation concert. Live Nation has now decided they will not allow you to bring your own chairs but of course have them available for rent. Really sick of being overcharged and nickeled and dimed for everything. Can't even enjoy a concert with bad seats now without spending an arm and a leg

  • Fantastic show

Wow! Chicago rocked the entire night. Had a great time!

  • Not Real Chicago

by Joseph on 8/12/25Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena - Atlantic CityRating: 2 out of 5

Trombone James Pankow missing Keyboard Robert Lamm missing Second rate trombone and keyboard players Tickets very expensive for these second rate players Hopefully Chicago would showcase James , Robert and Lee maybe less shows focusing on originals Keith Howland excellent Disappointed on second rate players

  • ANOTHER TERRIFIC SHOW

by JAM on 8/12/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

AS A LONG TIME "SUPER FAN"0F CHICAGO, 1ST SEEING THEM @ CARNEGIE HALL, NYC IN APRIL, 1971, I HAVE PROBABLY BEEN TO WELL OVER 50 SHOWS, IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT VENUES. THE 3 OR 4 SHOWS IN THE BEACON ALWAYS SEEM TO BE A BIT MORE SPECIAL. THE CROWD SEEMS TO BE A BIT MORE JAZZED, AND THE BAND PLAYS OFF THAT ENERGY. THE SHOW HASN'T CHANGED MUCH IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, NOT SO WITH THE LINE-UP. THE LATEST BEING THE ABSENCE OF ROBERT LAMM. IN 2024, IN MORRISTOWN, NJ (NOT THE BEST OF VENUES IN MY OPINION), ROBERT DID SEEM A BIT OFF HIS GAME, AND PERHAPS THAT HAS CARRIED OVER INTO 2025..JUST CONJECTURE. GLAD TO SEE JIMMY BACK WHO WAS MISSING FROM 2024 MORRISTOWN. BASS PLAYER, ERIC BAINES, & KEYBOARDIST, CARLOS MURGULA (1ST TIME I'VE SEEN HIM), DID A MORE THAN ADMIRABLE JOB. THOROUGHLY, AS ALWAYS, ENJOYED MYSELF. KEEP IN GOING GUYS. THERE WAS ONE VERY SURPRISING ADDITION TO THE REPETOIRE, AND A GREAT ONE!; THE FABULOUS JACKIE WILSON'S "HIGHER AND HIGHER": PERFECT FOR THE "ROCK BAND WITH HORNS".

  • Great SHow- Horrible Entrance Experience

    by TAS1 on 8/12/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 4 out of 5

Art Park did a horrible job getting the sell out crowd in on time. Gates only opened 1 hour early and we were in line 55 minutes. They were clearly under resourced. Attendees were streaming in up to the 3rd song and that was after a 30 min delay in starting the concert. Chicago and their performance was excellent - very tight musically, great lead voice and harmonies and of course tons of hits!

  • A great time

by zombie woof on 8/12/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

The band was fantastic. The show was sold out by a mostly over 60 crowd. I took my youngest daughters, it was their first concert and you could not have asked for better music and a great crowd, real dyed in the wool fans. My kids loved it.
