About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • As good as ever

by Doug on 8/30/25Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago was as good as ever. And the venue at Outlaw Field is terrific. Chicago played all their hits and although Robert Lamm was not able to perform that evening, it was impossible to tell )other than by looking). I wish I could have followed them Up to Woodinville from Boise.

  • Sooooo good!

The weather was perfect. The band was just so good words can’t even describe them!!!

  • Fabulous concert

by Katann on 8/25/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Chicago at Sandy Amphitheater. It’s a great venue and Chicago was as good as their records were back in the day. I’d love to see Chicago play the Deer Valley or Canyons summer concert venue. I’d go see them again!

  • Great concert at a great venue

by Nobody on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Sandy Amphitheater is a wonderful venue to see a concert and Chicago did an amazing job. Plus the concert staff were very helpful and the Utah audience was kind and respectful as always. Not like L.A.

  • Baby what a big surprise

by Roko on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

We went to this concert expecting a bunch of old men to perform a mediocre concert. What we got was a bunch of old men performing an excellent concert with great songs and vocals, great music and musicians playing instruments with tons of energy and enthusiasm. We absolutely loved it!

  • Best show

I loved the music and the beautiful graphics. I would go again and again.

  • Chicago memories

by Sberg on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 3 out of 5

We were looking forward to reminiscing with Chicago’s music. Concert started out rather slow & didn’t pick up excitement until the last few songs (including the encore). Some vocals were rather weak. Drums & brass were fantastic and the lead guitarist was awesome. We especially loved the drum solo & graphics!!! We did enjoy that they sang straight through, without an intermission.

  • Best concert Ever

by Jeannie on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Voices were great, visuals were awesome, sounds fantastic. Super fun! Songs were just like the old times.

  • Not the full setlist

by Love the horns on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the music. But for some reason they didn't play the full setlist. They left out Dialogue, Question 67 & 68 (how do you leave this one out), call on me, and old days. Also no break just continuous playing. I always love a break. But I'm not sure why we got shorted here, but the music was still great.

  • Exceeded expectations

by StanJ on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

I like Chicago but went to this concert more for my wife. These guys brought it the whole time and rocked the house. They were tight, professional and nailed everything.

  • Wonderful concert!!

by Jules on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Chicago on our 33rd anniversary and You’re the Inspiration was our wedding song. It was such a great experience. The whole place was alive and electric, and the trombones and trumpets were just crystal clear. They brought a good experience and a fun vibe. We were only 5 rows from the stage, so it was great to be able to see up close and personal. These 60 and 70-year-old men have such energy, it’s inspiring

  • What's not to like!!

by Dodie on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Concert started on time which is often unusual for Utah. Excellent venue ...Chicago was excellent!!! All music!! No intermission... would do again

  • Great outdoor setting

by Kris on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

For the smaller events this is the perfect spot. Beautiful scenery and easy to get to. And it was a breeze getting out of the parking lot (unlike others in Utah). I would for sure attend a concert there again. Seats were great.

  • Chicago puts on a great concert!

by Stringbeanmusic on 8/24/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Chicago is always a treat! They are all amazing musicians. I was a little disappointed that Robert Lamm didn't perform and nothing was mentioned about his absence, but still an enjoyable concert. They played a lot of old favorites!

  • What a gig!

by Tim on 8/18/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

These boys have been going since 1967 and are still playing fantastic music at every show. With 3 original band members and a lead singer that could charm the birds from the trees with a 4-octave range, I'm certain they'll go on until long after I'm gone! A fantastic evening of wonderful classic rock/jazz/brass fusion. Rock on guys.

  • Classic group, classic hits

by Tektektek on 8/15/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Disclaimer: My wife and I chose "You're the Inspiration"as our dance song at our wedding, so we are biased to liking this group. The venue (Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion) is really nice- lawn seating available, a goodly number of seats under cover. A decent selection of food is available at a variety of booths. There are even pedal boats to rent for a short ride. Parking is pretty straightforward. Getting out is a hassle, but that is true of every venue. Now, for the concert itself- EXCELLENT!!! A lot of their old hits, some better known than others, comprised the entire concert, and it was great! The video in the background went from abstract to scenery, close-ups of the musicians and singers, and the large screens let those of us many rows back have a great view of the stage. Acoustics were good, staff very friendly. Overall- if you can see a concert here, you will be impressed by the venue. And it is a very good place to see a concert, indeed.

  • Fantastic night!

by Betsy on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago never fails to play every song we love to hear. Their collective energy and talent is phenomenal. Great date night!!

  • Chicago was great; Live Nation...no so much

by David O. on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert, great sound, great setlist, great vocals. Getting into the venue took too much time and was very frustrating, however, because of insufficient security screening lines. And the "no outside lawn chairs"charade is shameful. No one believes it's for the "comfort and safety"(or some such drivel) of the audience, or that it's anything other than a typical Live Nation money grab. It would please me if everyone boycotted the lawn and the rental chairs were left in a pile, covered in dust and spider webs.

  • Outstanding performance.

by Charlie on 8/13/25Broadview Stage at SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

This band performed many hits and were absolutely flawless in delivering an outstanding performance. I highly recommend going to see them. 58 years and still going strong.
