About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Still sounding great

by Long time Fan on 8/11/25Rating: 4 out of 5

Glad to see Chicago for the first time in a few years. Unfortunately, Robert Lamm was missing, but Jim Packow and Lee Loughnane were almost leading the band. I loved the first set, the oldest material, but it got slow when they did some of the 1980's stuff. Surprisingly, some older, drunk fans were disruptive in the front and were tamed down by security. I realize that I first saw Chicago as a teenager in 1970 at Westbury Music Fair on Long Island. Hope they continue to play their wonderful music in any configuration and I will be back there!

  • Chicago was great !

Really great show by Chicago . They played all the best songs, hit after hit it they were fantastic. Also enjoyed the videos and background effects . We were confused by the first act though she seemed disconnected for the type of audience and genre.

  • Fantastic show!

  • Entrance Delays

by Jm on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was delayed until 830 PM The upper entrance started admitting patrons at 7PM. The line stretched very long. The final attendees went thru security/tickets at 845 PM. I understand the band dictates entrance opening times. My belief local security and law enforcement know the venue better than the band. The line stretched very far back to fourth street and seemed endless! The show itself was excellent, just my two cents on the facility operations.

  • Ridiculous long line to get in

by Tbone on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 2 out of 5

Gates opened at 7. In one of two lines at 7 about 100 deep. Waited 50 minutes to get in. Crazy hot out. People still coming in at 830 and show was to start at 8. Artpark dropped the ball big time.

  • Great men, great show

by Von Rocksteep on 8/11/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The band was in fine form from the first note to the last. They are a treasure and a big part of the soundtrack of our lives. They were warm and friendly to the audience and knew how to make us happy.

  • Great Show, but I have issues with the venue

by Mongonucleosis on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Taking the best first, Chicago exceeded expectations---the energy and vibrance that the remaining original members demonstrated, backed up by superb vocals, keyboards, guitars, drums, etc by those members who were too young to be there in the beginning, showed the audience the pride they take in their product and performance, and I would go to see them again, but not at this venue. The venue operators, to my way of thinking, disrespected their patrons on multiple levels. They did not open the doors until one hour before the show was scheduled to start, and we had to stand in a line that was about 1/4 mile long that took about 40 minutes to get through. Thankfully, the start time for the show was delayed one half hour, so we did not miss anything. I did buy a coffee mug, the second lowest priced Chicago merchandise. It was a warm night, with temperatures in the low-mid 80s and an indoor/outdoor arena with so-so ventilation. Went to the only concession stand nearby that sold beverages to buy a bottle of water---they ran out of water!!!! Could have bought a 25 ounce can of beer for $14 but I did not want beer---I wanted water. Loved the performance---hated the venue. Will never return there. I will be voicing my displeasure with the operators----the venue has been around for over 40 years. Simply stated, they should have done better and the audience deserved better.

  • The band was their terrific self, but the venue, not so much

by Mike from Elma on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

A friend and I went to see Chicago perform at Artpark in Lewiston, NY on Friday August 8, 2025. The band was their terrific self. Played all of the classics and then some, flawlessly. As for Artpark, as usual a terrible experience, especially entering. Lines were extremely long, especially on/for a hot August evening. The holdup was apparent as one approached the security entrance. Only one magnetometer and only one "security"staff member to wand people and check bags/purses when necessary. Getting ticket read and entering was a snap. The entire issue could be solved by adding more security checkpoints at the entrance to the venue. Would it really be that difficult? So instead of beginning the concert at 8 pm as announced, it was delayed 1/2 hour to allow for most peop-le to be seated when it started. Simple fix that cannot be that expensive to initiate.

  • Great performance but sound quality issues

by Gary on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 4 out of 5

Had a great time and enjoyed the show. Would've been much better if the first set sound quality had been clearer (muddled vocals, boomy sound). Much improved in set two, which was dialed in and crystal clear. Don't skip that sound check, guys! Lee Loughnane and Jimmy Pankow can still bring it and were in remarkable shape, playing as hard (or harder) than the younger guys. The finale of 25 or 6 to 4 was transcendent and worth the ticket price alone. Great to see the band pushing forward bringing some of the greatest tracks in rock history to a new generation of fans.

  • Waited in line too long!

by FB on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 1 out of 5

The venue needs to figure out their entry system. Incredibly flawed.

  • Just a cover band at this point

by Ron on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 1 out of 5

We’ve seen Chicago many times over the years and was surprised to see that only one original member remains. They came out, played for 40 minutes and had to take a 20 minute break. The venue, Artpark, did a TERRIBLE job with the admission process. I’ve never seen a line so long to get in, and it’s a small theater! I wish Chicago the best, but this was our last show.

  • A night of beautiful memories; complete with chills!

by Mickey A. on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

I have loved Chicago since high school ('72 grad). So many songs hold a special memory. Question 67 & 68 brings tears to my eyes. The vocals were strong and piercing. The horn section is fascinating and makes the group who they are! Kudos to the many years these guys have produced wonderful music! I could never pick a favorite song because I enjoy so many for very personal reasons! God Bless.

  • Very disappointed in Artpark for this concert

by Cher on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

We were looking very forward to this concert and we’re very disappointed when we got there. We are in our 60s. It had to walk up a hill and find a flat spot to put our chairs which was almost impossible. Only one line to get in to the lawn seats. People were still coming in after the concert started. A couple in our group, bought 50-50 split clubs from the older people selling them throughout the line while waiting to get in. They were dressed alike and had signs. after the concert. We found out that there was no t0-50 split. So people were being scammed right in the line in the lot. Security was around& apparently didn’t know what was going on.

  • Crushed it.

by Mouse on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Sounded like a record playing. Best show I’ve seen in a long time.

  • Fabulous concert. Awful admission process

by Dave G on 8/11/25Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago as absolutely incredible Friday night. Great set list. Fabulous musicianship. Super stage presence. Really looked like they enjoyed being there. Vocals were fabulous. Did miss Robert Lamm ( Battling vertigo) and Jimmy Pankow ( under the weather per Lee). Nick Lane did a fabulous job filling in on Trombone and Eric did a great job on most of Robert’s vocals. 2 plus hours of people just having a ball listening to an amazing group of musicians. The down side of the night was the NIGHTMARE admission process. Only 2 entrances with only 1 ticket scanner at each entrance. 45 minutes in line to get in. Thank God Chicago delayed the start of the show by a half hour so more people could get in for the start. Absolutely inexcusable on Artparks part.

  • Chicago was fantastic but starting half hour late annoying
