About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Awesome…but too short

by Cindy on 9/5/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 3 out of 5

I have long been a fan of Chicago and have enjoyed their concerts in years past. This recent concert was awesome - they played all the old favorites with their signature great vocals and horn section. It was fun and nostalgic…but too short. They left the stage after playing only 80 minutes and came back for another 20 minutes of encore. The concert started at 7:00 and was over at 8:40. For the price of the tickets, they should have had an opening act or played longer.

  • Great event

by rjm on 9/4/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 4 out of 5

Event was well organized with plenty of officiates. Entry was easy and directions were clear. Only negative was that the chair rentals ran out as soon as we got up to the front of the line. Fortunately, we did bring beach towels as a back up.

  • Missing Key Advertised Members

by ogchifan on 9/4/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 4 out of 5

The setlist is overall good (though I would have preferred if they had not abridged Feelin' Stronger Every Day and if they had played Free, as they've played at many other venues), but two of the three original members that were advertised to be touring did not play: James Pankow and Robert Lamm. Seeing Chicago without Pankow just isn't the same--he not only wrote a bunch of the stuff but has a stage presence that no one else matches (kind of like Verdine White with Earth, Wind & Fire), and, no offense to Nick Lane (the sub trombonist), but Pankow is just a lot better player than his replacement. Also, not having Lamm (also an author of a lot of their big hits) means that none of the vocals are original. It seems like they've been absent from a lot of performances on this tour (despite the billing), so it seems like something that should be noted somewhere. It was a good show, but it would have been nice to know that it was just going to be Lee Loughnane as far as original members go before showing up--I was disappointed that Jimmy and Bobby weren't there.

  • Disappointing

by Steve on 9/3/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 2 out of 5

Only 3 songs from the 80s. Missing many top hits. The vocals were hard to hear over the horns. Bad audio mix. Had high hopes for this concert but sadly was disappointed.

  • Great play list, lousy sound mix

by Steffie on 9/3/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Loved listening to their greatest hits play list but was very disappointed with the sound quality. I questioned whether the sound booth was hearing the same thing the audience heard. It didn't seem like the various microphones were balanced appropriately. Also, didn't care for the keyboard tone-it didn't replicate the acoustics of a standard piano like many of the newer digital keyboards are capable of. I will hesitate to spend that much to see them again.

  • Classic music still the top of their form

by vwolfe77 on 9/3/25Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Warm summer night, and they performed all the classics, and we loved it. Just You and Me is still one of my absolute favorites. I saw them 50 years ago, as my first concert, and it was still magical. I have had the pleasure of being a Chicago fan all of my adult life, so it was great to get the chance to see them again!

  • Disappointed

by Geof on 9/3/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 2 out of 5

I was very excited to see Chicago. I had last seen them in 1975. As a budding bass player, I loved the band, and was crushed by the death of Terry Kath, so it was hard to go forward after that. I was looking forward to seeing the surviving original members. Robert Lamm, James Pankow, and Lee Loughnane. Only Lee was there Saturday night. I later learned Lamm and Pankow played Friday night. There was no announcement of why, and while I very much appreciated the amazing players, I felt I was seeing an excellent Chicago cover band. Frankly, if I had known they wouldn’t be there, I wouldn’t have purchased the ticket. There might have been a good reason, but it wasn’t conveyed. I go to see the musicians as well as the music, especially in this particular circumstance.

  • FABULOUS CONCERT!!

  • Ticketmaster Review

by Chicago Concert on 9/3/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 4 out of 5

Beautiful setting. Jumbotron enhanced experience seeing band up close. General irritation with excessive security and extremely restrictive protocol for what could be brought in. Shouldn't have to rent chairs when small personal blankets and lawn chairs smaller than the rentals would suffice. It's another way to gouge concert goers for every dollar possible.

  • Chicago still sounds awesome

by Cec on 9/3/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

Even with only one of the original members there band still sounded like they did over 50 years ago

  • WOW

by Merril on 9/3/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago was Amazing!!! One of the best concerts I have ever been to!!!

  • Played 40 min, and took a 20 min break.

by Ed in Oregon on 9/3/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 3 out of 5

They sounded great. I get they’re up in age, but they started 10 min late, played for 40 min and took a 20 min break. We have a dog that we can’t leave for more than 3 hours. We hoped that we could enjoy our $250 worth of seats and leave about 9. Instead, we left at the start of the break, as it woulda been done about 9. At least we got 40 min. Others like James Taylor, Sting, Frampton, etc have all played sans break. Disappointing.

  • CHICAGO WAS GREAT

by Justafan on 9/3/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago was just amazing! Anytime they are in my area, we will def go see them! They played all of the hits, but since I love almost every song they've ever made, the big hits aren't my faves, so I didn't get to hear some of my favorites. However, it was still a great show!

  • Disappointed

by CM on 9/2/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Ok, so this review is not for the band but for the Venue. We purchased reserved seating, but after the show started, the venue and Live Nation staff let pretty much everyone in general admission in and up front, blocking our view and spoiling our experience. Shame on you. This was not what we paid for nor expected

  • not long enough

by JJ on 9/2/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I think it would have been nice for them to play until 9pm

  • Great show!

by FredEx42 on 9/2/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great combination of technical proficiency, energy, soul, and their greatest hits from the past. The only disappointment was that there was only one of the original members at this show, Lee Loughnane, the trumpet player. A couple of other original members that seem to normally tour were absent this time, I heard due to medical issues: Robert Lamm, keyboards, and James Pankow, trombone. But it was amazing how tight and energetic they were with the replacements.

  • Fantastic!

by JodiD on 9/2/25Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish, a great concert! This is our second time seeing them and I'd go again! The music...the sax and trombone are outstanding, and their voices are beautiful.

  • Chicago- Good Vibes & Killer Horns! 💙

by CC on 9/2/25Rating: 5 out of 5

My birthday was celebrated with the epic sounds of Chicago!! Picture a perfect summer night in beautiful Bend, Or. The venue was packed with young and older folks. We danced and sang to all the hits. The vocals were stunning and the band played for 2..5 hrs with a break. TRULY A MAGICAL NIGHT! 💙
