About

"‘Chicago' still GLITTERS HYPNOTICALLY." - Ben Brantley, The New York Times

There's never been a better time to experience CHICAGO, Broadway's razzle-dazzle smash. This triumphant hit musical is the recipient of six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy® and thousands of standing ovations. A sensational tale of sin, corruption and all that jazz, it's no surprise that CHICAGO has wowed audiences from Mexico City to Moscow, from Sao Paulo to South Africa. And now it's coming to your town!

If you're looking for your first Broadway musical CHICAGO has everything you could want: knockout dancing, an edge-of-your-seat story and one showstopper after another. If you loved the Academy Award®-winning film, nothing beats the live show, and if you are already intimately acquainted with the musical, experience that sizzle again, CHICAGO always delivers.

    The Dark Show

by ophelia on 3/18/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This show was very dark and not ver good. Yes the voices were good and the songs were performed well. My problem was strictly with the plot and about 5 songs that the musical didn’t need. The beginning-middle part of the show was not worth it. I would sit in the very back if it’s your first time seeing it.

    Great Staff / Meh Show

by TonyB on 3/18/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The staff at the Pantages were total professionals and very accommodating. The Chicago tour, well it was okay. The pacing needs to be tightened and at this point in this productions history, it’s okay to pause it and cut a couple songs and bring it up to date with current theater. Pacing being the #1 thing.

    Terrific Experience

by Garry on 3/18/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Thoroughly enjoyed every moment… the actors and dancers really had great voices; a few were exceptional. Choreography and energy was outstanding, and the jazz band was awesome. So much energy. It was just electrifying. Very memorable evening. A must see.

    Great talent!

by Luci on 3/17/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Singers and dancers were incredibly talented. The orchestra was really really good as well, but I didn’t like the presence of the Orchestra on the stage. In other stage presentations of Chicago, there was More sets.

    Very entertaining evening

by Trudi on 3/17/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The set was creative. Loved how the conductor and musicians were incorporated into the set. The audience was already energized for a fun time. The cast was well suited for all their parts, even Flynn and Amos! The cast/dancers were all very high quality performances, with voices to match. My only disappointment, as usual, was the pronunciation of the hungarian woman's lines. As one who speaks the language it was very clear that she was not properly coached, many of her words were not understandable. That aside, her performance was very well delivered, along with the rest of the cast. At the end of the show, the audience showed their approval with much enthusiastic applause.

    Underwhelming

by Greg on 3/16/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Chicago is a classic. This was a minimalist interpretation filled with loud voices who couldn’t carry the feel of the times nor titular city. They needed costumes, set pieces, and a lot more design to pull this off. Whilst I’m sure many today appreciate a female lead pulling off their wig and exposing the bulge in their spanks proclaiming “Not all is what it seems!” this is not only a stark departure from the musical but a stark reminder that female jobs are at stake even in a musical that revolves around feminine strength not superficial ones. Roxy was a bright light in an otherwise dull darkened alleyway.

    Entertaining but flat

by Lailanie on 3/16/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I’ve seen this musical before and I remember being blown away! By the costumes, the glitz, the glamour, the music and dancing. As entertaining as the show was, it fell flat for me. We had orchestra seats, and it didn’t feel very loud, and you couldn’t really feel the energy from the stage. The actress Roxy Hart was incredible! But everything else felt kind of minimalist and simple. Not a not to the set or costumes. The friends we went with who have never seen it before, loved it. Maybe I was just comparing too much, but had I known I would’ve skipped this one.

    Chicago was a bust

by NT on 3/15/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

We did not enjoy the show. We left at intermission. It lacked energy, sizzle, everything. I’ve never walked out on a show and I was ready to leave by the 3rd song.

    Bad.

by Yen on 3/14/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

It was my birthday so I expected something legendary, but no. Me and my friends left in the middle of it. I watched a movie a lot of times but my friend didn’t so she couldn’t understand what is happening. Sad, really.

    Enjoyable

by Bela K. on 3/14/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This is my third Broadway revival of "Chicago". Overall, this staging was a smidge inferior to other stagings. 1. there were very few props used and almost no significant sets 2. the chorus remained in dance attire when they were in speaking roles (jurors, journalists, etc) 3. the chorus sat on the side of the stage in view of the audience when they weren't performing These were minor points; the overall quality of the acting, singing and dancing was up to Broadway standards.

    Chicago # 3

by Heirloom on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This was my 3rd time seeing this production. I do not know if it was because it has been more than 20 yrs when I saw Chicago for the 2nd time, but this production was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I wish I would have purchase better tickets, but never the less, from where I was seating, I could see the entire show, and I do not think I missed anything. Please, go to see the production and enjoy yourselves!

Energy & Charm set at 100+

by JNelson - wanna be theater kid on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Don't miss this crew of performers, they are dynamite! So engaging and energetic throughout the show you wanted to get up there and jazz hand with them. One of the best shows we have seen at the Pantages. The girlies left it ALL on the stage.

    Amazing experience

by Sunny Days on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

I would never be the one that picks apart an actor’s performance and anyone who does ought to get up on that stage and see what it’s like to be on stage. The experience was amazing. There is nothing better than live stage performance. Cast had great chemistry. J. Terrell’s falsetto was superb. The Cell Block Six solos of Zuckerman, Andrews, Greco, Teyke and Benak really stood out and weren’t buried in the music or choreography which speaks to the talent of each actor who was a part of that number. The assemble felt like a pivotal part of each number and not just like they were supporting the main characters. The cast as a whole perfectly captured the cultural values underground jazz club vibe of the 1920’s that Chicago centers on and themes that continue today - fame-seeking and promiscuity. The interaction with the audience was well balanced and timed perfectly. Andy Chen flawlessly executed orchestral conducting along with character interactions and his performance felt fluid and natural when the characters interacted with him. Honorable mention also goes to Connor Sullivan as Billy Flynn in his excellent performance of Razzle Dazzle. Venue wise - there is something about The Pantages that sprinkles a little bit of its magic on every performance it hosts.

    Superb dancing

by Jc on 3/13/24Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

If you want to see great performance through song and dance with a mature theme then this play is for you. The dance choreo and songs were great, with added comedy. Don’t bring your kids, the theme is for mature audience only. Overall, it was a great musical production.

Fun from beggining to end, no lull. I’ve only seen the movie once so I was suprised I knew most of the songs and the ones I didn’t were still great. Funny, catchy, vibrant
