After 25 years, CHICAGO is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz, with one show stopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you've ever seen. No wonder CHICAGO has been honored with 6 Tony Awards®, 2 Olivier Awards, a Grammy®, and thousands of standing ovations. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary --you've got to come see why the name on everyone's lips is still...CHICAGO.
This was an amazing show the two women who played Velma and Roxy were absolutely amazing
Our group of 4 was so looking forward to it! Was pretty disappointing. The sound was spotty and was hard to hear, stenography was poor. Besides talented Roxy, prison guard lady and Roxy’s husband, other main characters were super below average. Would not recommend. Put on the movie “ Chicago” and save the money for better plays.
I have to say this wasn’t my favorite rendition of Chicago. The set was the same the whole time, one costume change if any for the characters, and the characters aside from Roxie lacked pizazz. I felt like the dance numbers were limited by the skill-level of the cast. We still enjoyed parts but a little lacking.
Having only seen the movie, I wasn't sure how the staging would work without the elaborate sets. It was amazing what they could do with lighting and chairs! The music was masterfully performed by the orchestra, sung, and danced! I loved the I think the choreography of the marionette song was fantastic and the performance of the Cell Block Tango was a show stopper.
Saw musical Chicago and absolutely loved it! The actors were so talented!
The cast and energy and talent they bring to this production will keep you laughing and smiling.... don't miss it!
I have seen the movie a million times and the play was soooooo great. I would absolutely go see it again. I have waited for years to see this play and it was worth the wait!
Easy entrance into the theater. Several times microphones did not work properly so you couldn’t hear the actors. Chorus was wonderful. Needed stronger dancers in the starring roles I was disappointed in the quality of the performance. Orchestra was outstanding especially the trumpets. Can’t go wrong with the music from Chicago.
Chicago is one of my favorite musicals and this did not live up to expectations. Both of the leads were weak and the energy did not carry through the duration of the play. The standout moments were the male dance troup. The duet between Mama and Velma was the brightest moment.
It was great from beginning to end. The puppet sequence and Jailhouse Tango were great!
I’ve been to see Chicago many times. The production is excellent. This night the production was stopped after 30m for poor audio. You couldn’t hear the cast at all. It was fixed. Not sure it was really fixed. Disappointed.
My seats were disappointing in dress circle row c. Very hard to see. There were several people talking during performance. Show itself was just ok. Singing and scenery just ok.
I thought the show, Chicago The Musical, was ok at best … strength of the principle cast was lacking, choreography was weak for a show of that nature and not what I expected however strong character of Billy Flynn played by an amazing performer, Jeff Brooks. Dance team was very good looking as well. However, overall I didn’t feel this show was at the level of all the other Broadway in Chicago performances.
The show itself was spectacular. All the actors did a great job. Singing was phenomenal. My entire family loved it. My only drawback was we sat in the upper balcony and view was semi obstructed.
Fantastic talent seen within the cast. Disappointed in the actual production of this specific rendition of Chicago. No wardrobe changes, no set changes. Safe show but a bit on the boring side for price paid.
The set didn’t change, nor the costume. Some songs were catchy and the acting was good. Nice to see the band profiled also.
What a wonderful show. Great cast. Beautiful theatre.
I saw some timing errors in the dancing. The sound was a little too quiet during the speaking parts, either the mikes were off or our seats affected it. B- overall.
So awful . The cast, set& choreography were worse than many high school productions.
Excellent musical. Excellent job. The whole musical was excellent!!!!!!
